mobic

493368 tn?1209757681 Mobic 15mgs has worked very well for my severe ankle tibial tendonitis and moderate arthritis coupled with physical therapy which helped restore my range of motion which was 60% lost at the time of therapy. However, the tendonitis can not be helped any furthe (I wear orthotics _ high top sneakrs and a splint brace to sleep at night) The mobic helps the arthritis alot for me & I've been on it 1.5yrs with normal blood labs.
Avatar m tn Meanwhile, rest the affected joint, apply ice pack, take non-steroidal anti-inflammatory such as Tylenol, Aleve or Mobic, and wear protective gears (knee cap, elbow cap etc), and braces. Hope you get well soon! Good Luck and take care!
168348 tn?1379357075 07 that now I stay in shade and use higher SPF sunscreen. And, of course, at that magical age (50) where this stuff appears. I wonder about the Mobic and was brought up on Arthritis Community. BTW, all labs are normal while on Mobic except for the Vit D. They test ev. 3-6mos Kidney function, etc. 24 Hr is normal, too.
Avatar f tn Nothing caused it, I just woke up in the morning, feel a little hurt around my ankle, then every time I walk or stand up long, my feet hurt a lot, they are getting worse, stiff and swelling. I went to the chiropractor, took the X-ray but there is nothing wrong. I also went to an acupuncturist, but nothing change.

6402846 tn?1391063748 ve lost weight, my hair is falling out, muscles are spasming, joints are stiff, tendons hurt, no energy, and the list goes on. All of it seems to be peripheral too, affecting both sides of my body equally. I want to focus on something I developed a couple days ago though. I woke up one morning and after extending my left arm, I felt a small tingling/shock in my forearm/hand.
1777607 tn?1314442174 Roughly one year and 7 days ago I hurt my left calf muscle, I was playing football and I felt my leg getting tight but thought nothing of it. I continued on, and about 20 minutes after feeling the initial tightness/crampyness something severely went wrong. I was back stepping relatively slow, I planted my left foot turned RIGHT, and attempted to accelerate, not only did it not happen, but I found my self on my knees in teeth grinding pain.
168348 tn?1379357075 but will go to Prim Doc tomorrow if this belly pain is still there just to be certain since on the Mobic almost a year now for severe tendonitis in my tibial tendon and all kidney function tests are A-OK as screening on the med. Only other med I'm on is Synthroid for thyroid and all fine there, too. My ins. is thru husband's employer and cannot drop unless lifetime max is reached and is a major HMO.
Avatar n tn I have de quervain's tendonitis and have weak gripping and weak hands which is a problem when i hold my baby. is it possible to have back pains because of the tendency to use my body (while holding with my hands) to support the weight of my baby?
Avatar f tn is there anything that can be done to get rid of this pain and weakness? I do take Mobic once a day and motrin if needed. I ice it and apply heat. PT is using ultrasound, ES. Feels good at the time, but once I manipulate my hand, voila ...
Avatar f tn He suggested I might have diabetes but the blood work showed Vit d deficiency. Can this cause neuropathy? I also have stiff joints and have had calcific tendonitis this year. Is this all connected? Thanks for your help. I feel I need a more holistic approach rather than seeing a neurologist, rheumatologist and endocrinologist separately! ( as well as a shoulder specialist or the calcific tendonitis!
Avatar n tn I was taking Ibuprofen for years and the pain in my knees was intollerable and I was confined to a wheel chair. About a year ago I started taking 1400 IU of Vitamin D and stopped the ibuprofen totally, my arthritis was doing MUCH better, even started taking short walks, however, recently, I had an injury and started taking Ibuprofen.....now my knees hurt all the time. Can Ibuprofen deplete vitamin D?
Avatar n tn Sometimes you have surgery and bursitis or tendonitis sets in , most of the time a MRI and a EMG can tell you if you have nerve damage and muscle weakness.
Avatar n tn My mama used to take Mobic and it helped her back alot. Unfortunately for her, it upset her stomach so she quit taking it with no side effects following. Best wishes.
Avatar f tn I have been on Mobic for 2yrs 15mg (labs drawn ev. 6 mos and kidney ok) for a severe tibial tendonitis/arthritis of the ankle ... I cannot live w/o the med due to the pain but oftentimes get some GI side effects and also if taken too close to my Synthroid (thyriod issues) I get very tired and/or anxiety .... As I ramble .. I guess I'm wondering if ANYBODY out there has seen success with this new patch and what you think about it .... Big Zero for me.
Avatar n tn My provider told me I have a little of Osteo arthritis and has prescribed me Mobic for the pain. Now, since like a month ago, I have been feeling like big pulses on my legs, buttock, arms, neck, face, back and stomack at times. It does not last too long but, i do have then through out the whole day. It is somewhat worrying me. Does anyone know why this is happening or what lab test can I get done?
Avatar f tn I was on Mobic for a year or so and never had any issues besides stomach pain (which any NSAID's can cause) I get stomach pain with any NSAID's. Mobic wasn't really that affective for me but my insurance made me try practically every NSAID on the market before they would approve Celebrex. They denied Celebrex and even recommended a PPI (ulcer med) to take with the NSAID's because they didn't want to pay for Celebrex.
Avatar f tn Today a Doctor gave me a script for Mobic, for wrist pain that I have had for the past month from repative work,my Urate levels are at 52 just over limit.Im on Asprin and fluid tablets which can raise these levels. A specialist doctor I saw says it is gout I don't believe it is...I'm unsure about taking the Mobic though for my wrist ??
Avatar m tn Yes you can take Mobic with a narcotic pain med. Mobic is a NSAID, and has the same risks as other NSAIDS. In high doses it can cause some kidney issues, the vicodin has tylenol in it and can cause some liver issues in high doses. But they are safe to take together. Typically what you want to watch for is multiple NSAIDS, or Multiple meds with tylenol.
Avatar f tn I was erroneously diagnosed with Carpal Tunnel and Tendonitis that didn't go away for YEARS that was leading to atrophy before I was finally diagnosed with MS and found out it was spasticity. I am in PT now to relieve the spasming and strengthen the muscles. I am slowly but FINALLY getting some relief.
Avatar f tn So now I'm on Levaquin for 3 weeks for a sinus infection. One of the side effects is tendonitis. I already have tendonits (both wrists) and everything has failed including physical therapy and steroid injections, i was referred to surgeon now as nothing has worked, have an appoint in November. Should I take the levaquin if i already have tendonitis? The sinus infection is bad saw ENT friday and put me on levaquin.
1090984 tn?1463769850 For the past 2 months I been having severe pain on the inside of my arm when it bends. I had my doc look at it a month ago and he said I hurt a tendon and recommended an arm band. The pain seemed to improve but now it's back and very painful, when when I bend my arm it hurts on the inside, when I sleep it hurts when I move it and when I wake up to stretch it. I have taken advil and vicodin without relief. I am tired of having my arm hurt!
1007423 tn?1251204456 Sure does. I've had cortizone shots and been to physical therapy. The physical therapist told me tendonitis and then posture. The thing is though is that it comes and goes - it's not constant. I had surgury for tendonitis in my wrist several years ago and the pain was very different, so I don't think that's what is happening in my shoulder, but what do I know??? Sorry I don't have an answer, but that is my experience.
Avatar m tn m already a member of the Anxiety and Depression forums. After two months, almost, of tests and seeing various doctors and specialist, I've been diagnosed with Osteo Arthritis in the lower back and right hip. For this I've been prescribed Meloxicam/Mobic for the pain and inflamation. The data sheet that came with the prescription details some pretty nasty potential side effects. I normally don't have too much trouble with meds but this stuff is potent.

Avatar f tn I take lisinopril myself for HBP and have done so for decades. I've never used naproxen except maybe once or twice. One Rx that might possibly be of benefit for arthritis instead of naproxen is meloxicam, also known as Mobic. I use it occasionally with no ill effects to report.
