mobic

Avatar f tn t happen at night for me. I have Lupus. Are you taking anything that can help with the inflammation beyond Plaquenil?
Avatar f tn some (not all) of your sx do MIMIC sx sometimes seen in MS but MIMIC doesnt mean that your sx are from MS, Lupus is one of the many MS mimics. Lupus can be just as difficult to dx and MS is but to be honest with you, there isn't enough repeated sx to even make me start thinking of Lupus, but that could just be from what you've written. You've got an appt with a rheumatologist coming up soon which should help you work out if there is something like Lupus going on or not. Cheers...
518798 tn?1295212279 i actually had to be on mobic for a while. its generic name is meloxicam..its a nonsteriodal anti inflammitory. i am no longer taking it, but its good and works well.
Avatar m tn tested for RA it was negative ... but Lupus came back positve , she then sent me to a Rheumatology Dr. and upon his quick examination of me he then tells me I have no signs of Lupus and he was going to retest me ... Those tests came back negative... My question is I am in chronic pain and Im to the point I cant take it and... I dont know what is wrong with me and how can this Dr. say this and in the same sentence ask me if I was on Disablity?.. what does that have to do with my pain?...
Avatar f tn I am not sure what I have the doctors are not sure what I have, I have had one tell me I have pure sensory neuropathy one tell me no I dont, but all I know is the pain in my feet and my toes is somtimes unbareable and it is not really pain it is buzzing like you toes are asleep or numb constantly all I know is when I take the medication mobic they dont hurt as bad. Does anyone experience this type of problem? I am having trouble with my gastro as well. Does that have anything to do with it?
Avatar m tn My doctor wrote me a script for Mobic to help with some nerve pain. Im wondering if anyone knows if its similar to tramadol at all, Im hoping not, but anyone who has any helpful info please let me know. I cant start back on opiates again for the pain and Ive heard too many bad stories about tramadol to even consider it as an alternative. Also if anyone knows of anything that helps nerve pain, Im open for any suggestions. Hope everyone is well, thanks.
Avatar n tn Does anyone know if mobic is addictive? My doctor switched me to them today from loratab. I am glad because the loratab really is addictive and I would rather not have my body relying on anything. I have been on the loratab for a little over a year now and I feel like crap if I miss a day and go without it. Not only am I in pain (because of female problems and my back) but I feel like I have the flu. How long will I feel that way without it? since I switch my meds today.
8221281 tn?1397570972 I'm still battling this whatever it is. I titrated down on prednisone and this (see picture) showed up on my face again. Is this a lupus rash? I can't get in to see my rheumatologist until the 15th. The oral pred has been helping my joints and skin once I got above 30mg but now that I'm down to ten I can hardly get out of bed in the morning my joints hurt like hell and I look hideous. I You should see my breasts... ugh....
975514 tn?1324997938 I am curious to know for those of you who have only been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia (no other coexisting diseases such as Lupus or Lyme disease), do you get pain relief from any NSAID medications like ibuprofen, Aleve, or any other prescription NSAIDs like Mobic or Voltaren?
Avatar n tn My provider told me I have a little of Osteo arthritis and has prescribed me Mobic for the pain. Now, since like a month ago, I have been feeling like big pulses on my legs, buttock, arms, neck, face, back and stomack at times. It does not last too long but, i do have then through out the whole day. It is somewhat worrying me. Does anyone know why this is happening or what lab test can I get done?
Avatar f tn Today a Doctor gave me a script for Mobic, for wrist pain that I have had for the past month from repative work,my Urate levels are at 52 just over limit.Im on Asprin and fluid tablets which can raise these levels. A specialist doctor I saw says it is gout I don't believe it is...I'm unsure about taking the Mobic though for my wrist ??
Avatar m tn Yes you can take Mobic with a narcotic pain med. Mobic is a NSAID, and has the same risks as other NSAIDS. In high doses it can cause some kidney issues, the vicodin has tylenol in it and can cause some liver issues in high doses. But they are safe to take together. Typically what you want to watch for is multiple NSAIDS, or Multiple meds with tylenol.
570413 tn?1299532661 I wanted to recommend those of you that are having trouble with family and friends not understanding how living with Chronic pain/conditions work. If you will Google "Spoon theory", you will find a sight by a patient that lives with Chronic pain. She doesn't have Chiari, but rather Lupus, which has some similarities in symptoms. This has helped me to understand a little better, what my daughter lives with each and every day. I hope this is helpful to some of you!
Avatar m tn antinuclear antibody (ANA) and rheumatoid factor (RF), anti-dsDNA, antiSmith, Ribonucleoprotein Antibody (Anti-RNP), Scl-70 kD kinetochore (Anti-Topoisomerase I), antiphospholipid antibodies (anticardiolipin immunoglobulin G [IgG] or immunoglobulin M [IgM] or lupus anticoagulant etc. Other tests include erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) and C-reactive protein (CRP).
1044813 tn?1370494406 Sure, we can add Mobic/Meloxicam to the Pain Tracker for you. In the meantime, please use NSAIDs, since meloxicam is a type of NSAID and this is already available on the tracker.
Avatar f tn Hi... I was diagnosed with ostearthritis & fibromyalgia a few years ago...and have been taking mobic since then, which has worked. About a month ago, the mobic didn't seem to be working as well.. my hands were hurting a lot at work... so I went back to my dr & he changed my medicine to relafen for the osteoarthritis & lyrica for the fibromyalgia. Although the lyrica seems to work, I'm not liking the side effects, puffy hands & feet & eye twitching...
Avatar f tn I was just prescribed mobic and I just wondered if it's afdictive
5005834 tn?1362223810 Back in the summer of 2009, I had a bought of constant vertigo for about 2 months. I dealt with it for a month and then in desperation one night I went to urgent care. The doctor there was actually very thorough. He did a full exam, blood work and hearing tests. They couldn't find anything so he prescribed me meclizine to use PRN. He cautioned not to use it too frequently because my body needed to adjust my balance.
Avatar n tn I have had 18 pt visits (traction now up to 32 lbs.. does provide relief temporary,(24hr) also take mobic.. recently prescribed a home traction unit.. confused as if this is right treatment..
787406 tn?1339203183 I have Lupus, inflammatory arthritis, suspected sarcoidosis, fibromyalgia-mild.
493368 tn?1209757681 Mobic 15mgs has worked very well for my severe ankle tibial tendonitis and moderate arthritis coupled with physical therapy which helped restore my range of motion which was 60% lost at the time of therapy. However, the tendonitis can not be helped any furthe (I wear orthotics _ high top sneakrs and a splint brace to sleep at night) The mobic helps the arthritis alot for me & I've been on it 1.5yrs with normal blood labs.
3122657 tn?1357432602 But if you have real joint pain you may need to ask your Dr. about anti inflammatory drugs. One is called mobic generic for (???). Dr. Mayo (yes the real mayo!!!) had me on it. I quit taking it because its not good for the heart. My hearts in good shape & I want to keep it like that!!!! But that would definitely be for a Dr. to decide. And yourself of course. I will say---they do work!!! Let me know if it lifts on its own or what???
335728 tn?1331414412 Voltarin and Mobic (anti-inflammatories) both caused me to be super sun sensitive. The Voltarin came with a warning on the prescription bottle, but the Mobic didn't. With the Mobic, I got a light sunburn and ended up breaking out in sun poisoning. Thanks for the warning reminder!
Avatar n tn husband was just switched from mobic to gabapentin for nueropathy symptoms he suffers from, he now is having extremely low glucose readings some don't even register on his meter. We need to know if it could be interaction between it and other meds he takes. Currently he takes humilin N&R, levoxyl, prevacid, and mild dose aspirin.
1770281 tn?1315399993 i am so tired.
Avatar n tn re related to each other or not, to your doctor and then you start the blood tests to rule out arthritis, lupus, ms, and any other illnes that would contain the same symptoms that you are describing. If all those come back negative then it may be FM. The problem is it usually takes most patients 5 or more years to get a correct diagnosis because the syndrome immitates so many other illnesses and because many doctors are either not informed about FM or some even do not believe FM exists.
