mobic

1770281 tn?1315399993 i am so tired.
Avatar m tn m already a member of the Anxiety and Depression forums. After two months, almost, of tests and seeing various doctors and specialist, I've been diagnosed with Osteo Arthritis in the lower back and right hip. For this I've been prescribed Meloxicam/Mobic for the pain and inflamation. The data sheet that came with the prescription details some pretty nasty potential side effects. I normally don't have too much trouble with meds but this stuff is potent.
2010625 tn?1329372056 This is a new symptom I am experiencing with my depression and don't know much about it. I was wondering if anyone else experienced pain with their depression, and how is it treated.
518798 tn?1295212279 i actually had to be on mobic for a while. its generic name is meloxicam..its a nonsteriodal anti inflammitory. i am no longer taking it, but its good and works well.
168348 tn?1379357075 07 that now I stay in shade and use higher SPF sunscreen. And, of course, at that magical age (50) where this stuff appears. I wonder about the Mobic and was brought up on Arthritis Community. BTW, all labs are normal while on Mobic except for the Vit D. They test ev. 3-6mos Kidney function, etc. 24 Hr is normal, too.
Avatar n tn I was taking Ibuprofen for years and the pain in my knees was intollerable and I was confined to a wheel chair. About a year ago I started taking 1400 IU of Vitamin D and stopped the ibuprofen totally, my arthritis was doing MUCH better, even started taking short walks, however, recently, I had an injury and started taking Ibuprofen.....now my knees hurt all the time. Can Ibuprofen deplete vitamin D?
Avatar n tn My mama used to take Mobic and it helped her back alot. Unfortunately for her, it upset her stomach so she quit taking it with no side effects following. Best wishes.
Avatar n tn My provider told me I have a little of Osteo arthritis and has prescribed me Mobic for the pain. Now, since like a month ago, I have been feeling like big pulses on my legs, buttock, arms, neck, face, back and stomack at times. It does not last too long but, i do have then through out the whole day. It is somewhat worrying me. Does anyone know why this is happening or what lab test can I get done?
Avatar f tn I was on Mobic for a year or so and never had any issues besides stomach pain (which any NSAID's can cause) I get stomach pain with any NSAID's. Mobic wasn't really that affective for me but my insurance made me try practically every NSAID on the market before they would approve Celebrex. They denied Celebrex and even recommended a PPI (ulcer med) to take with the NSAID's because they didn't want to pay for Celebrex.
Avatar f tn Today a Doctor gave me a script for Mobic, for wrist pain that I have had for the past month from repative work,my Urate levels are at 52 just over limit.Im on Asprin and fluid tablets which can raise these levels. A specialist doctor I saw says it is gout I don't believe it is...I'm unsure about taking the Mobic though for my wrist ??
Avatar m tn Yes you can take Mobic with a narcotic pain med. Mobic is a NSAID, and has the same risks as other NSAIDS. In high doses it can cause some kidney issues, the vicodin has tylenol in it and can cause some liver issues in high doses. But they are safe to take together. Typically what you want to watch for is multiple NSAIDS, or Multiple meds with tylenol.
Avatar f tn I take lisinopril myself for HBP and have done so for decades. I've never used naproxen except maybe once or twice. One Rx that might possibly be of benefit for arthritis instead of naproxen is meloxicam, also known as Mobic. I use it occasionally with no ill effects to report.
Avatar m tn Hello and hope you are doing well. The inactive ingredients in Meloxicam (MOBIC) tablets include colloidal silicon dioxide, crospovidone, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, and sodium citrate dihydrate. So, the sodium content should be in very minute quantities. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
Avatar m tn I've taken Mobic and Hydrosil as prescribed by my doctor because of my right knee discomfort last month. I immediately stop taken it after my right foot started to numb and tingling the next day. The problem still exist and it has been one month already. Why is it like this? Also, I've been taking Vitamin B complex supplement from that day onwards and it seems not working until today.
Avatar f tn i am using Mobic on and off for pain. But due to swelling i am not able to make a fist. i have pain on the edges of the palm.
Avatar m tn However, even the pharmacist had concerns about taking both Lodine and Mobic, as she said that they do the same thing and that I should take either one or the other. On top of that, the aspirin. She said it was entirely too many anti-inflammatory pills for one person to be taking. However, when I stated these concerns to the neurologist on my next visit, this is when he told me it was all a part of a “plan” he had to help me.
1044813 tn?1370494406 Sure, we can add Mobic/Meloxicam to the Pain Tracker for you. In the meantime, please use NSAIDs, since meloxicam is a type of NSAID and this is already available on the tracker.
1770281 tn?1315399993 I'm assuming you stopped cold turkey? If so, all of this is withdrawal, we need to wean off of these types of meds with the guidance of our prescribing doctor. Or it may be that you still need the medication. You have to decide which is worse...your depression or taking the medication to control the symptoms. Don't get hung up on because this is a mental issue that you can handle it on your own.....we often can't and that's okay.
1489588 tn?1303998295 I have fibromyalgia, degenerative arthritis and yes, clinical depression. When I take Savella and Pristiq together, it works wonders. When both my pain dr and my psychiatrist got together and said I couldn't take them together, I became very depressed after getting off of Savella. I didn't want to kill myself, but I sure didn't want to live. Lyrica put me to sleep in horrible ways, Cymbalta doesn't work for me and anything like Prozac or Lexapro or Zoloft is candy to me.
Avatar f tn I work for an Ortho Surgeon who specializes in knee and hip replacements and also sees a lot of patients with severe arthritis, he does use Mobic alot but also uses the Arthrotec. Find a good dr. and get some definitive answers then proceed from there as far as what medications will help you. Keep us posted and welcome to the forum.
Avatar f tn I was just prescribed mobic and I just wondered if it's afdictive
168348 tn?1379357075 get that and which med did you take and how far out did you space it out? I have been taking mega Rolaids or Tums but think I need more like a Zantac or Prilosec (otc) for now ...... did you get it from Synthroid at all alone? My anti-inflammatory for my ankle is really the culprit as that, in itself, is very hard on the GI .. and coupled with the thyroid med I have heartburn, etc. I figure safe to spread out meds by 2hrs ?
Avatar n tn I have had 18 pt visits (traction now up to 32 lbs.. does provide relief temporary,(24hr) also take mobic.. recently prescribed a home traction unit.. confused as if this is right treatment..
Avatar m tn Great information. I've done the OTC meds and that's what took me to Mobic/Meloxicam. My doctor did the preauthorization and that's what was denied. I don't even know if Celebrex is going to bet miracle. I will go to their website and see if I can get some discount coupons. Just for general information to anyone that cares..... I have seen a top gastroantonologist (spelling) who killed the myth about Tylenol and liver function.
Avatar n tn I am 39, for the last year I have had joint pain in my hands/wrists, knees, hips ,ankles, sometimes back . hand and knee pain are constant and are the same on either side of my body, but vary at times (worse before periods, with bad weather, cold weather, after exercise). I have seen my PCP and a rheumatologist who did blood work -all normal, RH neg, neg C reactive, normal sed rate/cbc,thyroid.
493368 tn?1209757681 Mobic 15mgs has worked very well for my severe ankle tibial tendonitis and moderate arthritis coupled with physical therapy which helped restore my range of motion which was 60% lost at the time of therapy. However, the tendonitis can not be helped any furthe (I wear orthotics _ high top sneakrs and a splint brace to sleep at night) The mobic helps the arthritis alot for me & I've been on it 1.5yrs with normal blood labs.
