mobic

401370 tn?1233324682 I am on Mobic NSAID prescription and need to have bloodwork done ev. 3 mos for kidney function, and am told to be aware of any acid reflux indicators as a side effect not to brush off lightly while on NSAID's.
Avatar n tn Mobic is an NSAID pain reliever (same class of drugs as ibuprofen, motrin, aleve) and not a narcotic so the addiction potential is very very low. You should be fine as long as you have no stomach issues as NSAIDS tend to aggravate those symptoms or if taken in excess, create stomach problems. Good luck to you! I think the Mobic is a much better alternative to pain management than any narcotic.
Avatar m tn Apply ice, and take a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory such as Aleve or Mobic. You will need X-rays of the lower spine, pelvis and hip to see if you have a bony injury. The swelling could be a contusion (which will respond to the above treatment) or it could be a hematoma (localized collection of blood which may get re-absorbed or may need drainage). Please discuss with your doctor. Take care!
Avatar f tn Hi All, Remember me? Anyway, today is day 18 of my taper plan coming off of ALL opiates that i have been abusing on and off for 15 years. I am down to 1 perc a day and seeing the light. I cannot wait to be DONE and im almost there. The mental cravings are really not that bad i would say i only get them a little bit every few days and physically i am tired and i do not sleep at all, when i was using i could sleep until 10am now i am up the latest 7:00am, i hope i can get some sleep.
Avatar m tn Thx for all your input. I'm now off of Meloxicam/Mobic due to side effects. Went back to using Aleve and am doing well with it; per DR's recommendation. I'm also coming off of Paxil and Ritalin since the Paxil doesn't seem to do anything for my depression and the Ritalin makes me too "jittery" feeling. Have an appointment with my Phychiatrist in mid October to review my meds and alternatives. I'll post more then.
Avatar f tn Meanwhile apply ice packs for 10-15 minutes two to three times a day. Raise your leg, do not bear weight, take non-steroidal anti-inflammatory such as Aleve or Mobic and consult a doctor. Avatar m tn Great information. I've done the OTC meds and that's what took me to Mobic/Meloxicam. My doctor did the preauthorization and that's what was denied. I don't even know if Celebrex is going to bet miracle. I will go to their website and see if I can get some discount coupons. Just for general information to anyone that cares..... I have seen a top gastroantonologist (spelling) who killed the myth about Tylenol and liver function.
459853 tn?1283140514 Also, you can take non-steroidal anti-inflammatory such as Tylenol, Aleve or Mobic. Apply local pain relief gel. Improve your posture. Lie down on a hard bed with knees folded or use a mattress on the floor. Meanwhile try and see a doctor. Take care! 513154 tn?1340225289 I have a question about Osteoarthritis and the pain that comes with it. Last November I had 5, 6, and 7 upper vertebra fused together and feel so much better in that way BUT i can't take anti inflammatory medications for my Osteoarthritis, Tylenol doesn't even help a bit and non of the arthritis over the counter meds help either. My question is... is there a non narcotic pain medication that I can take every day? I am 45 years old and very healthy besides my arthritis. thank you!
635402 tn?1270162477 Such a combination is deemed synergistic, meaning basically that two plus two equals ten. Naprosyn is the prescription form of Aleve which is sold over the counter and is an anti-inflammatory. Once this research was confirmed, GSK began to develop a combination drug. The second reason this drug might be better is something called RT technology. GSK has developed this and uses it currently for its Imitrex tablets.

Avatar f tn I have been having the same problem for some time, but it has gotten worse the last two weeks. I thought I was having a heart attack and even packed a bag in case. It finally got better, but for 3 days I would get it, with a strange hurrting in my neck, gland area up to my ear. I finally got an appointment with my doctor to avoid a ememrgency trip on the week end. He did an EKG which he said was ok.

Avatar f tn ABout 4 years ago, I developed ice pick like stabs in my head through the roof of my mouth to the top of my head. I also had stabs in my right eye. My right nostril constantly dripped. i was put on Gabapentin (1500 mg) and did Ok for about 2 years. (the stabbing was not as painful/frequent) about 9 months ago I started to get worse.
Avatar n tn I ate 4 pills of Aleve, and had my period right now. Can I try to get pregnant in the following ovaluation period? Thanks.
Avatar f tn Very inspirational!! Well done, and I totally agree with you. Hot showers, Aleve and heating pad will do the trick! Who knew, right?
