Common Questions and Answers about Mobic vs aleve

mobic

Avatar n tn Does anyone know if mobic is addictive? My doctor switched me to them today from loratab. I am glad because the loratab really is addictive and I would rather not have my body relying on anything. I have been on the loratab for a little over a year now and I feel like crap if I miss a day and go without it. Not only am I in pain (because of female problems and my back) but I feel like I have the flu. How long will I feel that way without it? since I switch my meds today.
Avatar m tn Apply ice, and take a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory such as Aleve or Mobic. You will need X-rays of the lower spine, pelvis and hip to see if you have a bony injury. The swelling could be a contusion (which will respond to the above treatment) or it could be a hematoma (localized collection of blood which may get re-absorbed or may need drainage). Please discuss with your doctor. Take care!

I cannot wait to be DONE and im almost there. Avatar f tn Meanwhile apply ice packs for 10-15 minutes two to three times a day. Raise your leg, do not bear weight, take non-steroidal anti-inflammatory such as Aleve or Mobic and consult a doctor. Avatar m tn Meloxicam is just a glorified Ibuprofen/Aleve med, so you could always try those OTC. You can take up to 800 mg Ibuprofen every 8 hours or 500mg of Aleve twice a day in it's place. Celebrex is a name brand drug and insurance companies hate those namebrands. lol Your doc can sometimes do a prior authorization, though, to get them to pay for it, which is basically paperwork explaining that you' ve tried other things and this is the only drug that works for you.

Lie down on a hard bed with knees folded or use a mattress on the floor. Meanwhile try and see a doctor. Take care! Avatar m tn If it is just fluid collection then you can try ice pack, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory such as Aleve or Mobic followed by physiotherapy. Also, physiotherapy has to be done under expert guidance. Please consult your doctor. Take care! Avatar m tn Thx for all your input. I'm now off of Meloxicam/Mobic due to side effects. Went back to using Aleve and am doing well with it; per DR's recommendation. I'm also coming off of Paxil and Ritalin since the Paxil doesn't seem to do anything for my depression and the Ritalin makes me too "jittery" feeling. Have an appointment with my Phychiatrist in mid October to review my meds and alternatives. I'll post more then.

Avatar f tn I have been having the same problem for some time, but it has gotten worse the last two weeks. I thought I was having a heart attack and even packed a bag in case. It finally got better, but for 3 days I would get it, with a strange hurrting in my neck, gland area up to my ear. I finally got an appointment with my doctor to avoid a ememrgency trip on the week end. He did an EKG which he said was ok.
7530804 tn?1398546771 I havent taken any medication while pregnant but woke up feeling like I had been run over. I googled a bit and decided to take an Aleve about a hour ago. I feel fine and my baby boy is moving like crazy, I just wanted to know if anyone else has taken Aleve while pregnant? Or have been told anything by their Dr? Thank you!
Avatar f tn The 2 Aleve is not putting a dent in my headache. We have Mobic, but I am not really familiar with it. Thank you again and eat, and be merry today!!
Avatar f tn I would say in his case it might be slightly stress related. But, if its something aleve or an anti-inflamatory med will prevent or help reduce the attacks, it might be worth looking into for a full time med on a daily basis. Mobic is something we use takin with food seems to have little side effects if any.
Avatar m tn Meanwhile, rest the affected joint, apply ice pack, take non-steroidal anti-inflammatory such as Tylenol, Aleve or Mobic, and wear protective gears (knee cap, elbow cap etc), and braces. Hope you get well soon! Good Luck and take care!
Avatar f tn Meanwhile, rest your feet by keeping them elevated on a cushion or stool. Apply ice pack. Take non-steroidal anti-inflammatory such as Tylenol, Aleve or Mobic. Hope this helps. Take care! Avatar m tn Since the symptoms are persisting and you have a partial tear of patellar ligament, the best treatment option would be immobilization followed by physiotherapy. You may also benefit by non-steroidal anti-inflammatory such as Tylenol, Aleve or Mobic. Please discuss with your doctor or take a second opinion. Take care! Avatar m tn My doctor wrote me a script for Mobic to help with some nerve pain. Im wondering if anyone knows if its similar to tramadol at all, Im hoping not, but anyone who has any helpful info please let me know. I cant start back on opiates again for the pain and Ive heard too many bad stories about tramadol to even consider it as an alternative. Also if anyone knows of anything that helps nerve pain, Im open for any suggestions. Hope everyone is well, thanks.
