I understand that it is not good to mix drugs with alcohol, but I would like to know of experiences with mixing those two drugs, lexapro and Vicadin, alone.
Having some very bad lower back pain today that tylenol isn't touching. I was wondering about Skelaxin. I have some and have taken it in the past...but don't even remember side effects or how I felt taking it or anything. Is this addictive?Anybody know anything about it? Thanks!
I know of many people that are prescribed Vicodin (Hydrocodone) and Ultram (Tramadol) together with the Vicodin prescribed for breakthrough pain.
However, as Sandee and Molly stated, you should call your doctor before taking these medications at the same time if they were not prescribed to you that way. The potency of the two medications may be too strong for you or may contradict any other medical conditions you may have.

I am prescribed Celebrex and skelaxin. I have a question about the skelaxin. Well my job is physically demanding I work in a hospital I do patient care I "boost" patients, transport patients, help very unsteady patients get out of bed and walk. So quite often I need to take my skelaxin. My lower back tightens up and I just need some relief. I have been taking it a bit more often than I did say 6 months ago.
Careful with mixing anything. Google it and see what answers you get. You also didn't say how much you took.
Now your addiction to Tramadol is a different story. There are many members here that have had that addiction too and are now free of it. Don't just quit Tramadol cold turkey if you can help it. Some people have had seizures and we don't want that for you. Again, we don't know how much your are taking and how long you have been on them.
I've been taking suboxone and have run out. I have a bad toothache and have some vicodine, would that be effective until I get this tooth worked on. I will have my suboxone on Monday again.
im on vicodin 500 4 x a day flexiril 2x a day and xanax to sleep. it ***** i cant get into ortho dr, till april but i guess he is a good dr, does yours flair up at night that when mine hurrts the worse. the thing that really helps is a hot bath. are you gona have surgery? i hope i dont but probaly will. im only 45 and that *****....
so far its been 30 hours and I tried some of the suggestions on Thomas recipe and I think they work. I am takin over the counter pain killers (as directed) Naparson, and motrin, mixing that with ativan and soma to help sleep. I hope tomorrow is better. Good luck too all my brothers and sister addicts out there, i never thought this would be me.I hope I lose the calling of the pills soon. I am so scared I will use again. One big help is I have a counseler.
I came across a bottle of vicodin 5mg hydrocodone/500mg acetaminophen on thursday night. That night I ended up taking about 12 beers, 6 shots, and 7 of the vicodin. I was irresponisible that night and was wondering if my system would be cleared of that by now. Looking back on it im just thinking thats a lot for my body to handle in one night. Tonight I just wanted to enjoy my standard saturday night (drink some beers with a few friends).
That was why I chose to address his behavior changes instead of what I think his actions are. He was prescribed 7.5 vicodin and the soma by his dr for damage to his sciatic nerve about a year & half ago. Now he says he wants to talk to his dr about getting something for his nerves or this depression he is in.
I have started taking Methadone on occasion. This morning I took a 10mg Methadone and this evening I took 3 10mg Hydrocodones. I am experiencing a ton of breathing problems now. Does anybody know if this is a bad mix. I was taking 10-15 10mg vicodin a day. I know it has to be tearing up my liver. Does anyone else have a problem like this?
I can totally relate to you I was once at 8-16 a day also and it only got way worse. 25 a day then mixing with benzos. I know the desperation and the fear all to well. There are so many awesome people on this site that will help and give you suggestions on how to cold turkey, or anwser what questions you may have. WD is no fun.. but it can be done it is possible and YOU can do it also.
I do remember a few years ago they ( FDA or some govt agency) were talking about taking vics off of the market because of people going into liver failure with taking them and mixing with other actiminaphine containing drugs.I guess upto 7000 mgs a day of actiminaphine is ok but still I dont know why.

The pain in my neck is constant/achy and worsens with left to right movement, and up and down movement. My headaches are daily and are manageable for about 90% of the time, the other 10% is debilitating and takes me out of work.
Any help or recommendations are appreciated.
I don't think that amount of wine alone would elevate you enzymes but with the drugs you're taking I really don't know.
I believe that Skelaxin may be associated with elevated liver enzymes is some people but again, I am not sure of this. I would Google all of the drugs you're taking with the word "liver" or "hepatic" eg "Skelaxin Liver".
are hydrocodin,percocet,roxicodone and tramadol in the same ingredients family meaning if i took a vicodin i should be okay to take a roxicodone or tramadol because they have some of the same ingredients in them thanks for the time to whoever answers the post
and his whole life style could stand a scrutinization - especially the mixing pills and more importantly - - the mixing of different pills of the same chemical name - no matter what the pill co's name. The Doc needs to spend a few more minutes with his patient to make certain that his directions are clear and understood. If the pain is still not being managed properly, then the meds need to be changed or different measures need to be taken. Vigilance is a keyword here .......
So he just said take the hydro because your not taking that many (only 3 a day 7.5) and try this Skelaxin and let me know in 3 months how your doing.
I have really tried to cut back on the hydro but my back hurts so bad it wakes me up (when I can sleep). Please let me know if any of you have had any experence with this for back spasms. Thanks.
History: back surgery 15 years ago. No problem quitting vicodin. For 10 years had maybe 3 prescriptions. Then 5 years ago had a friend who had an endless supply. He also had methadone. To make a predictable story short, I have been trying to quit for about a year. Tried suboxome which I found out was 50 times stronger than vicodin (and people wonder why they can't quit that???). I am now a big believer in the Amino Acid therapy and Dr. Gant as well as the Thomas recipe (I combine both).
Well I just got back from seeing my dr about the myleogram I had and they pretty much just said I had from L-1 to S-1 messed up and not much they can do. Take the pills and try the therapy and message for awhile and then let us know how your doing. I had got down to 1 1/2 a day through my weening process but my back was hurting the whole time. I think I am still going to try to keep cutting back and see if I can quit when I can take a few days off work.
