All I can say is he needs to get off the Miralax which has a bad reputation for side-effects (see the Miralax Yahoo Group) - it could be that or the toxins from his constipation affecting his behavior. If he gets taken into hospital he'll be given a series of enemas - which is probably the best thing to give him at home when he is stopped up.

Ronda, check with the SOD group on yahoo groups. They know the best docs for treatment of the condition and a lot of the in's and out's of what goes on. Hormones can definitively affect the biliary system, so don't discount that fact. You might consider trying visceral manipulation if there's someone in your area that is well schooled in the technique. It can and does work for some cases.

I walked to the library without stopping and back (with a bathroom break and grabbed a couple of books inbetween) with the walker. I wasn't able to do it without stopping a lot 2 weeks ago. Yahoo. Oh and I started PT exercises on Thursday. It went well. I'm still working on getting off the walker.

I had the same problem. My doc also prescribed miralax. Im already swamped with other meds, so I decided to go natural to reduce the constipation. Try eating brown (wheat) instead of white and lots of green veggies (greens, spinach). It has done wonders for me.

My doctor told me to take miralax and to increase my water intake.

The beginning of my pregnancy my OB said I could take miralax to help with constipation, but now that I am 37w4d is it safe to take? I don't want to take it if it's going to affect baby in any way.

I have been having okay results since June with Miralax and Colace. A few weeks ago I began having what looks to be blood in the stool. I told my onc right away. She said do not worry. It is probably from a blood vessel bursting. Well, I tried not to worry, but it did not work! Could the Miralax be the trouble?

I am 10wks preggo and was wondering if Miralax is safe to take for constipation during pregnancy....I am very constipated and have been drinking Metamucil 2 times a day without any effectiveness....my husband is a pharmacist and says that it is safe because it doesn't enter the bloodstream, but I do not want to take something unless I know that it is safe. I am fighting an illness (chronic Lyme- belong to that group) the symptoms are mostly very difficult, on lots of medication. My question is why am I then still feeling very excited, sometimes in strange situations, like while I am driving I feel like I might have an orgasm right there. Even at my weakest, I am still excited. I try to reach orgasm but I cant either with my fiancee or by myself. I feel pleasure but just can't t seem to not get there to the orgasm. Help!

EDS is not as rare as was once believed to be. Now about 1 in 5000 people have this disorder compared to when I was diagnosed (in the 70's) it was about 1 in 20,000 people.
