t start till June I can go to class next quarter Yahoo. Even if USC changes my mind about who does it I can still push it off till summer. I can't stay home I just can't.
I walked to the library without stopping and back (with a bathroom break and grabbed a couple of books inbetween) with the walker. I wasn't able to do it without stopping a lot 2 weeks ago. Yahoo. Oh and I started PT exercises on Thursday. It went well. I'm still working on getting off the walker.
I had the same problem. My doc also prescribed miralax. Im already swamped with other meds, so I decided to go natural to reduce the constipation. Try eating brown (wheat) instead of white and lots of green veggies (greens, spinach). It has done wonders for me.
The beginning of my pregnancy my OB said I could take miralax to help with constipation, but now that I am 37w4d is it safe to take? I don't want to take it if it's going to affect baby in any way.
Has anyone had miralax?
I am 10wks preggo and was wondering if Miralax is safe to take for constipation during pregnancy....I am very constipated and have been drinking Metamucil 2 times a day without any effectiveness....my husband is a pharmacist and says that it is safe because it doesn't enter the bloodstream, but I do not want to take something unless I know that it is safe. I have seen where it is category c. Thanks for your help....
Lay off dairy, up the veggies and fruit and Miralax. She is still sobbing in extreme pain (today being day 11 since she's gone poop). My question is this: shouldn't she be referred to a Gastroenterologist by now? My son keeps pushing her pediatrician and they just say no, let's up the Miralax, let's do this or that...well nothing works! Unfortunately he is on CHC which is the insurance for lower income families. I'm about ready to self pay and get this little girl some help.

I would stop the Miralax completely. The diarrhea you are experienceing may be a residual effect of the Miralax. Try eating a well balanced diet, including some fiber, and if you see no improvement within 2 weeks, see another doctor who will listen and get to the root of the problem. Good luck to you.
Ladies.!!I need answers what's good for constipation, my stomach hurts a lot and I haven't had a stool since two weeks or three weeks any recommendations on medication to take.
About 3-4 months ago i was diagnosed with IBS. My specalist told me to just take miralax and maintan a diet. I did as he told me finding out which foods i can eat or cannot eat. I started excerising and taking miralax. But then about 4 weeks ago problems started coming up. One morning i woke up with my stomach killing me and i had to go to the bathroom really badly. I figured it was just a IBS attack and shrugged it off. Then after that day things got really odd.
Zofran, Restoril,+ Flexeril(for the muscle spasms from biliary type pain below scapula). I also have frequent nausea and poor appetite & am underweight w. very poor activity tolerance/stamina. I was post-menopausal for several years, when my periods resumed 15 months ago (during the morphine withdrawal, presumably from the physical stress; w. neg uterine bx). This month no menses; having hot flashes. Could hormones be a trigger or factor? Physical stress and fasting are factors.
