I recently was diagnosed with Bacterial Vaginosis and was prescribed 14 tablets of 400mg of Metronidazole. I have been taking one tablet once a day for 6 days now. I was wondering why I still had symptoms and I went back to look at the instructions to see if it had any information, this is when I realised I should of been taking one tablet twice a day!
I’m away from home, so won’t be able to see my doctor. I know I should finish my dose, should I start taking two a day?
That depends on your doctors comfort levels in prescribing , a patients ability to tolerate side effects, other medical conditions, effectiveness of using opiates, but typically- most physicians will not prescribe over 90 to 100 MME mg dosing per day-(Morphine equivalent dosing per day)- and typically only for patients who have been on opiates for some time. MME dosing combines both long acting and immediate release types of opiates to reach 90-100mg MME daily.

Exactly - the med is the same, the strength is the same - the pack is just an easier way for your doctor to prescribe it rather than actually figuring out how many pills to prescribe - and also probably easier on the pharmacy for them not having to write out all the instructions on dosing.

Tylenol is unveiling new maximum dosage instructions for paracetamol or acetaminophen in the US. The new instructions state a maximum total daily of 3,000 mg versus the old maximum of 4,000 mg. Anyways about 2 1/2 weeks ago I was on Metronidazole and had unprotected sex on the 5th day, the nurse told me to use condoms for 8 days. I also missed my last “active white pill” (before 2 Placebo pills) Friday 3/9, had unprotected sex and didn’t realize till Monday. I took my Wednesday pill 3/14 about 17 hours late. Is it possible I can become pregnant?

Yes. But like all OTC drugs follow the dosing instructions on the bottle and don't use it too many days in a row. With my last pregnancy I got so big and uncomfortable at the end I would never had gotten any sleep if it wasn't for a little benedryl once in a while lol.
Just make sure you follow dosing instructions for the drops. It is important that you take all your drops! Other than that there is not much for you to do. If you were instructed to maintain a certain position then continue to do so unless your surgeon says otherwise. However, it will not effect IOP. The only position that would effect IOP is having your head lower than your heart, like doing a headstand.
How is ativan different than Xanax,I am to take 1 mg ativan 3 times aday was making it 8 hours between doses now because of my early wake up time or teh med not working as well im taking it like ever 5 to 6 hours''''''Could i be double dosing this way.....i can feel when the pills wears off its like the side of my head starts feeling wierd but im also being more dizzy lately....
