As my face cleared up, the doctor prescribed me with a topical metronidazole called Metrogel (which is supposably to cure Rosacea). Well i applied the gel as indicated by the doctor and it did nothing. 3 weeks after taking the antibiotic, my face was clear then my face brokeout again. I didnt know what to do, so i just delt with it and waited for it to go away alone.
Avatar m tn 3. Flazol 500 mg (metronidazole)one tablet three times a day for five days AFTER THE Opamox. 4. PANTOZOL 40 mg one tablet twice a day for 60 days. My questions are : • Do I have an ulcer and how serious is this? • Is the H. Pylori curable and are these medication enough ?
Avatar f tn I'm prone to getting bv, so my doctor gave me an extra dosage of metronidazole gel just in case it came back. I stupidly lost the applicator and the pharmacist gave me a larger one and told me to guess at how much I should put it. My symptoms went away, but now a week later i'm having clumpy discharge. It's not sore, itching or burning. I heard that herpes can mimic a yeast infection, but have also heard that herpes discharge is not clumpy like.
Avatar f tn I was given metronidazole for the second time (same dosage). Its been just recently when I went to visit the same doct. And. He tested me again due to my persistent symptoms. Agan negative results of culture and this time I was given tinidazole 2 g one dose. The man I had intercourse with said he was tested for chlam and gonorrhea with negative results but was never tested for trich because he says he is symptoms free.

Avatar f tn 1 pill 3 times daily of e-mycin to get rid of the clamydia which took effect straight away then straight after was a 5 pill dosage of metronidazole to get rid of the trick. Within a week all symptoms were gone but then i also went for an abortion and shortly straight after the trick symptoms were back. So i went back to my doctor to get a repeat but was then given a 7 day course of 2 pills 3 times daily.
Avatar m tn Is that the right stuff to use and can you tell me the dosage please, or let me know the right antibiotic to buy.. Please help..
1364835 tn?1278610242 Metronidazole is the standard treatment for Cdiff. They give it for 7 days and if you are still having symptoms they give you another 7 - 14 days. If you are then still symptomatic and test positive they will go to the potent antibiotic Vancomycin. If that does not work they try tapering you off vancomycin . I am not sure why they prescribed the other drugs for you. Cdiff is becoming incredibly resistant to antibiotics.
Avatar n tn This seems like half the current recommended dosage for H. pylori. I am concerned that this may have been just enough to produce a resistant H. pylori. Any thoughts on this? Are there any alternate meds recommended if the amoxicillin is a problem? I know this is a bit unusual, but please, I am looking for specific information. I will then take this to my cardiologist so that we can make a more informed choise. Thanks.
Avatar n tn As for medications, I'm sure they have a formulary handy for exotics and can look up the appropriate med and dosage for a rodent. Yes, some meds should not be used on rodents but they can find that information. I hope one of them will be brave enough to give you a hand.
Avatar f tn I plan on seeing another opthamologist soon, but I want as much information as possible when I see the next one. Here are my questions: 1) Would it be possible, even with a direct exposure of infected fluid to the eye, to get a new gonoccocal infection in the eye just hours after getting a 125mg shot of ceftriaxone? It seems to me the answer to this question is yes, because I found on the CDC website that the treatment for gonococcal conjunctivitis is a 1g shot.

Avatar f tn The bottle of Metacam has lasted 7 months. Doc is blaming the elevated liver enzyme on the long lasting steroid dosage. I'm agreeing with you that this was overkill with the steroid, Metacam and Adequan. The vet from Novartis called me twice and a tech called me once. They said to discontinue the Adequan. Doc gave me Flagyl in a generic form (Metronidazole?) as a once a day pill to help clear up the gastric concerns. He only gave me enough for 7 days.
Avatar f tn Also, could you please provide me with any website that gives all possible information on Acitrom? I searched through Google but wasnt successful in finding the relevant information. I found this website...Your quick reply will be highly appreciated. I also want to be able to print all the relavant information from various sites for my relative to read through.
548642 tn?1266183252 I've brought this subject up before, you can go thru my posts or the archives. Also, you can google quite a bit of information.
212705 tn?1221624250 Yikes. Lithium can be highly toxic and should NEVER be taken without a presciption. I posted some infomation below. Yes lithium carbonate is technically a salt, and a naturally ocurring element that can be purchased without a prescription. Arsenic and cyanide are also naturally occuring elements, but that sure doesn't make them safe.
Avatar f tn What's In The Giardia Kit#21 BacPakPlus probiotics - It is my experience that NO other probiotic will work well for this extreme problem. You can purchase something locally to get your dog started before your BacPakPlus arrives but this probiotic does the trick. Use MSM, not just any brand but VitaFlex because it has been around the longest and this info on MSM and Giardia was in their research and patent information.
Avatar f tn -- azithromycin (Zithromax) and atovaquone (Mepron) for 4 months -- clindamycin (Biaxin) and cefdinir (Omnicef) for 5 months -- stopped due to edema -- metronidazole (Flagyl) and azithromycin (Zithromax) for 4 months + 1 week -- stopped (dr's orders) due to severe intestinal inflammation from Flagyl Now 3 days after stopping the meds, I can feel the disease symptoms creeping slowly back, and want to figure out (before seeing my dr again) what tricks there are to tolerate these meds again s
Avatar n tn I have been sick almost 4 years...had previous stool sample for guardia, but was negative. Also was diagnosed with bladder cancer and had that removed. Ditropan for bladder spasms did help the intestinal cramping some, but only for a short while. The diarrhea, abdominal cramping and weight loss continued. I always get nausea right before the abdominal cramping and had severe pain in the upper, mid stomach region.
Avatar m tn After the week, my symptoms did not alleviate and so I went back to the clinic and on April 2nd they put me on a 2 weeks course of doxycycline and also metronidazole just in cause I had trichomonias. After the 2 week period the sexual health clinic advised me to see my general practitioner because the chlamydia should be gone. The gp examined me on April 18th and decided to give me ciprofloxacin which I presume he diagnosed that it is a uti.
Avatar n tn Also - if I do take magnesium supplement can it intereact with ANY medication? If anyone could give me any information I'd be grateful. And can you tell me again that this PAC stuff won't hurt me?
Avatar n tn Many people tolerate coumadin with no problems. I have attached additional information about coumadin for your information. Coumadin (generic name Warfarin) is a anticoagulant (blood thinner) that is used for a variety of conditions. Common reasons for coumadin use are in atrial fibrillation to reduce the risk of stroke, in persons with clotting disorders, in persons with mechanical heart valves, and sometimes in people with severe heart failure.
Avatar f tn (perceptional variations) As this is the expected side effect after Augmentin use, that is the reason why probiotic are prescribed.whose dosage/frequency may vary upon severity of symptoms. So you take a check up with a Doctor to ***** how severe are your symptoms before you loose all of your salts from body or become worse.Use of Proton pump inhibitors, asthma medication during usage of Augmentin leads to sustaining symptoms even after stopping.
Avatar m tn The obvious proof if it was an airborne bacteria then anyone we come into contact will become PATMers immediately. With the information so far I can only see one possibility, toxins. Toxins that originate in the gut. These toxins come from possibly one to hundreds of different types. For some reason they seeped through the intestinal lining into the bloodstream. Bacteria cannot oozed from sweat glands, only toxins.

Avatar m tn these symptoms started 4-5 days after my last antibiotic dosage. I read online about antibiotics causing fungus issues due to destroying all the bacteria that kills the fungus. Anyway, that's my story. Maybe you can make something of it. If not, I really appreciate you reviewing this anyway, and for your first post.
