Metrogel finacea

Common Questions and Answers about Metrogel finacea

metrogel

Avatar f tn t know what Type it is but it is red pimples on my cheeks, occasional white heads but these are rare, and nose and Telangiectasia on my chin. I have been treated with Topical Finacea 15%. It has helped for a long time. But lately I am getting a lot more small pimples and peeling skin. I put Cetaphil Eczema calming cream on my face before putting on the Finacea and that has helped with the redness. But my skin still has been peeling. My triggers are hot temperature and not sure what else.
Avatar n tn Minocycline, Metrogel, Prosacea, Eurax, Loprox, Tea Tree Ointment, Econazole, Clotrimazole, Ketoconazole 1%, Selsun Blue, Lotrimin Ultra, Finacea, oral Diflucan, an assortment of vitamins and supplements, natural and alternative medicine. I have this theory that my body is attacking my chin area's skin cells, therefore breaking down my skin barrier or turning cell turnover too rapidly, which may make the cells clump up in my pores. How do I get to the gist of it and stop it?
Avatar f tn My dermatologist put on Finacea 15% gel and Metrogel 1% both of.which are more than $200 each a tube. Were you guys prescribed anything else that's pregnancy safe by your derm?
Avatar f tn I have been to the dermatologist and the recommended Metrogel and then Finacea have only made my condition worsen. I am allergic to tetracyclines and sulfa drugs so I did the 30 day/2 times of erythromyocin but didn't help. I have a sample of Diprolene that had been given for poison and it clears up the rash but was not approved by the dermatologist, probably because it is just a temporary fix and can make the PODS (what I think I have) worse.
Avatar f tn I've been using metrogel for a few months now for a place on my cheek. It's finally clearing up, but my entire face was scratched up today, including the area I typically treat with metrogel. Is the metrogel safe to use on fresh scratches and sores to continue treatment. If so, would it be good to also put the metrogel on my entire face to help with all the scratch marks?
Avatar f tn My doctor perscribed me Metrogel 0.75. I have been using it since Jan 18th 2010 (last month). For the most part I have been clear, however I still see some LIGHT red areas like they are fading away. Have I not used it long enough? BUT, I cleaned the house yesterday, and now today I have a larger red area in the corner of my eye..probably from sweating? My doctor reccommended I take Doxycycline 100mg, accept I took two pills and had total stomach pain -with or without food! My question is.

Avatar f tn The NP precribed metrogel for 5 days at bedtime. I havent found the courage to take it yet, because its inserted vaginally. The warning states its a category B and can be passed through the placenta. Has anyone else taken metrogel during their pregnancy? If so wad everything ok?
Avatar m tn I was tested positive for HIV this February. I have been an occasional user of MDMA via syringe. I tested negative for Hepatitis B and C. During the first week of June, I suddenly came down with a fever which wouldn't go away. Later the doctors found a lesion on my liver, for which I was treated with Metronidazole (Metrogel) injections, and later metrogel tablets. Recent CT scan shows "a cystic lesion on the liver, measuring 4x3.5 cms with a smooth enhancing wall seen in segment IV.
Avatar f tn My rosacea is getting worse with lesions on the nose. Putting topical finacea clears up one area, but the itchy redness creeps past the treated area and I now have ocular rosacea. I never fully recouped from having the flu like illness from kissing the guy who had uveitis/iritis ( of course he claimed he had no illness). I broke rash upon treatment with ampicillin and later doxycycline but truly think I should be on antiviral.

Avatar f tn I have been diagnosed with Rosacea. I have been using Finacea topical (azaleic acid15%) for years. It worked pretty well until recently. But I saw on the American Dermatologist site that there are a number of things you shouldn't have in your face cleanser and creams etc. Has anyone found an good alcohol free, fragrance free, cleanser (without soap) for rosacea? I noticed my cleanser has both alcohol and soap. So I want to change my regimen.
Avatar f tn When I get out of the shower or overheated, I have a pink spot on the skin just above my upper lip, touching the lip line. It's approx. 2 cm long by 1/4th cm high. There's also a tingling sensation at times. The skin there looks slightly different but I'm 62 and have had age spots burned off in my hairline, etc. I am female, never smoked, don't drink and have never had a cold sore or tested positive for HPV. I do not sunbathe but grew up in the south.
Avatar f tn Hi everyone...Recently I have been having several problems with the skin on my face. Up until about a year ago I had absolutely flawless skin. I'm 22 years old and live in Florida and used to go tanning alot but stopped about a year and a half ago. It started when I went on the birth control-nuva ring for ovarian cysts about 5 months ago and recently changed to yaz and have seen no difference.
Avatar f tn The doctor now prescribed Doxycyline for 1 month and Metrogel 1%. There has been improvement, but very slowly with 2 flare ups so far. It has been two weeks since I stopped the steroid completely. Will it ever go away? Will my skin return to the way it was before the steroid use? (I never had rosacea before) Thank you in advance.
Avatar f tn Also, she was on Metrogel and she was allergic to it and it gave her second degree burns. She has healed from that but wonders if there are any prolonged affects of a problem like that. Lastly, she was on a steroid (diprolene) for years for the face (lupus). After the bad burns from the Metrogel, and it healed the dermatologist took her off of the steroid cold turkey and said to just use certain creams until the breakouts from the steroid went away.
Avatar n tn I have been treated in the past with dry ice treatmtents. Recently I have been prescribed Minocin, and Metrogel. The metrogel seems to burn my skin. Does laser work for Rosacea? It is $1,800 for the treatment. I am 54 years old and recently had my thyroid removed due to cancer. Could my Synthroid meds be aggravating this condition. Could these blisters be facial herpes, shingles. I have had this for about 6 months. I can't get into a dermatologist until September. Help!

Avatar f tn I took metrogel vaginally for bv at 31 weeks. Everything went fine and it cleared it up.
Avatar n tn No temporary cure the best is the latest Clindesse 2% vaginal cream, single dose x 1 and that's it. Other options metrogel x 5 days, or po flagyl.
Avatar f tn Metrogel Finacea Desonate Nizoral Shampoo on my face head and shoulders on my face and Desonide lotion. the only thing that works is desonide lotion. I am so sad to find out that using this long term has bad side effects. My Question is: Is there anything I can do in combination with the desonide? I read on about.
Avatar f tn m 8 weeks I recently went to the doctors and found out I have a bacteria and the dr prescribed me metrogel vaginal. Have any of you guys taken or are are taking this medication? Have you ever experienced any side effects? Any information helps.
Avatar f tn m asking because I have recurrent bacterial vaginosis infections - i have tried metrogel, flagyll tindamax, clindesse, i have it again.. I bought plain yogurt and mixed it with acidophillous powder and inserting it using a metrogel applicator at night, I always wear a liner because of bv anyway, but there is a LOT of discharge. Am I doing this right? has anyone else had good results with this method? how long should it take for symptoms to go away.
Avatar m tn One dermatologist said it was melasma; another disagreed and said it was sun damage, to which she gave me Finacea to apply B.I.D. Assuming that it is sun damage, if I tan already sun damaged skin will the damaged areas continue to get relatively darker next to the normal skin? In other words is it possible to camouflage the hyperpigmented areas through tanning? I suggested to the dermatologist that I could precisely apply sunscreen to the blotched areas and leave the normal skin exposed.
Avatar n tn In the beginning of May I experinced some usual vaginal discharge and itchiness and I went to the doctor and I was told I had Bacterial Vaginosis and was given Metrogel 0.
