metaxalone strength

X-ray revealed nothing, and I have been through chiropractic and physical therapy with marginal relief at best ( ~ 24 hours.) medications used include metaxalone, valium and ibuprofen. stiffness has remained constant, w/ a reduced ROM when flexing my neck laterally. I also occasionally experience shooting pain up the left side of my neck when i rotate my head in that direction. Neck remains inflamed and "cracks" often.

The doctor ignored me when I said I lost strength again. They put normal strength. How could losing 18 pounds of strength in the left hand be normal? The right lost a lot for kienbock's reasons.

Hope you get some input form someone with experience. It is my understanding that ablation (sounds like that is what you had) usually takes a few weeks to heal completely, and I suppose that's necessary to regaining full strength. It may be helpful if you explain what you mean by strength: are you mobile or stuck in bed/chair, or are you talking about getting back to running or some other high output activity?

I was told the deep hip pain is caused by a deep spasm so close to the bone that you cannot see, but it is a spasm. Forget the technical name. Metaxalone was prescribed for me and it helps about 80% of the pain. I hope I answered your question, feel free to ping me if you have any more. Neither Skelaxin (metaxalone) nor Celebrex (celecoxib) cause dependence. Your body will not crave either medication. You will not develop tolerance to either medication, nor will you suffer withdrawal symptoms in their absence. The usual dose of Skelaxin is 800mg every 6 to 8 hours (three or four times a day). Do not exceed the maximum daily dose, and don't mix Skelaxin with alcohol, barbiturates, or other CNS depressants.

I went for another MRI on Friday and asked the tech what strength the machine was. I've had 2 previous MRIs on the same machine and was curious. She informed me it is a 1.5 Tesla; and further stated that 3T's are only ever used for research purposes. I wasn't surprised that the local machine is a 1.5T. I live in a small city several hours away from a major centre. We only got the MRI at our local hospital a couple of years ago.

I was wondering if there are any back strengthening exercises that I can do to build up some strength to where doing daily chores can become less painful. Thanks!

Hi, as I had posted previously, I went thru PT for 4 months from Sept-Dec. And started PT again in April and added on OT in May. For my last PT appt another therapist was working with me because mine was out. My therapist is also the manager there. She said she wanted her to do my evaluation again to see if I've reached my goals. At the start, my upper extremities strengths were about 3/5 and lower extremities range from 2/5-3/5. My upper extremity strengths are now 3+/5.

I just got switched to metaxalone 800mg and i cant say if they are better or worse than flexeril as they dont seem to affect me either. I am afraid to take more than two since they are 800mg but it might affect me, if it doesnt work i think i will switch back to flexeril as i feel safer taking a higher dose, honestly just because of the size of the metaxalone pills, which i know means nothing but I heard flexeril is the strongest so if something will help maybe that will.

The old standy from Flexeral causes so much sleepiness. One of the better ones that wont make you as sleepy is Metaxalone.

Is it ok to take extra strength Tylenol? I'm 11 weeks pregnant and have horrible back aches and cramps. I can not seem to find any regular strength anywhere! I'm just worried that the extra strength ones might contain something the regular strength doesn't? Idk. Please help.

I am 12 weeks pregnant and came down with strep throat, a horrible cough, and a migraine last Thursday. I've been taking antibiotics for the strep and 2 tylenol extra strength every 6 hours since. I have a call into my doctor bc I'm not feeling better (strep is, cough/migraine is not) but am afraid I'm not going to hear back from them today and am starting to get worried about the amount of ES Tylenol I'm consuming..
