I recently worked with an epoxy that I had thought was an MSDS Health rating 2, which means: "Intense or continued exposure could cause temporary incapacitation or possible residual injury unless prompt medical attention is given." The warnings on the package suggest to avoid eye/skin contact, avoid breathing vapors and to work in "adequate ventilation" (note that no one ever explains what this means).

Hi I am not a doctor but I would think that there would be an MSDS sheet that would explain the dangers. You already know that everything you we eat breathe and put on the body has to be processed by the liver. I will try to find something. and come back.

X-ray revealed nothing, and I have been through chiropractic and physical therapy with marginal relief at best ( ~ 24 hours.) medications used include metaxalone, valium and ibuprofen. stiffness has remained constant, w/ a reduced ROM when flexing my neck laterally. I also occasionally experience shooting pain up the left side of my neck when i rotate my head in that direction. Neck remains inflamed and "cracks" often.

They keep on telling me that all i was exposed to was general purpose oil, used in the vacuum pump of the GCMS. There was no extraction from the GCMS instrument. I looked up the MSDS for that chemical but my symtoms are not consitent with there findings. I sent off a hair sample to the US for mineral analysis. It stated that i had high levels of tin. I know inorganic tin is more or less harmless, or is it?, but can organotin cause these type of symtoms?.

Sounds like an MSDS book. We had to get all the MSDS sheets for the medications and chemicals we use at work. I do believe they're found online.

I looked up the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) for Jeltrate Dustless Alginate Impression Material and under emergencies, it states that ingestion (swallowing it) that "Material is probably not harmful is swallowed" and "Low order of toxicity is expected when material is ingested." If you want to, you may want to schedule your mom for a consultation with a GI (gastrointestinal) specialist to see what they may have to say about it. Hope that helps.

Some inks can be exceptionally nasty and if you are able to smell them, then you are being exposed to them at some level. Do you know the names of the inks? I can look up MSDS sheets for you. Does your company provide you with personal protective gear (gloves, respirator etc.)? You could also discretely give OSHA a call and have them come out and perform air-quality tests to determine exposure levels.

I sent you the MSDS sheet, easy to find on line. Healthcare workers know what that is. You get training in this stuff every year. It says the fumes can cause dizziness and suffocation and it should not be used in a closed area.

I was told the deep hip pain is caused by a deep spasm so close to the bone that you cannot see, but it is a spasm. Forget the technical name. Metaxalone was prescribed for me and it helps about 80% of the pain. I hope I answered your question, feel free to ping me if you have any more. Neither Skelaxin (metaxalone) nor Celebrex (celecoxib) cause dependence. Your body will not crave either medication. You will not develop tolerance to either medication, nor will you suffer withdrawal symptoms in their absence. The usual dose of Skelaxin is 800mg every 6 to 8 hours (three or four times a day). Do not exceed the maximum daily dose, and don't mix Skelaxin with alcohol, barbiturates, or other CNS depressants.

It may be that there are other chemicals that you were exposed to. Check with your MSDS book which should be present in your office. Also, talk to your company health and safety committee about PPEs since this is a standard in all industries. Take care and do keep us posted.

I just got switched to metaxalone 800mg and i cant say if they are better or worse than flexeril as they dont seem to affect me either. I am afraid to take more than two since they are 800mg but it might affect me, if it doesnt work i think i will switch back to flexeril as i feel safer taking a higher dose, honestly just because of the size of the metaxalone pills, which i know means nothing but I heard flexeril is the strongest so if something will help maybe that will.

Hello, I do appreciate your help. Your answer in paragraphs 4-5 were very helpful. This whole worry is very upsetting. I woke up today and i felt like it was the fist thing to pop into my mind. I'd much rather be obsessed over losing my job (something that worried me in the past) rather than having an incurable disease I could infect partners with. it's annoying people can have casual sex and I freak out i got HIV from taking apart an HIV test or from some scenario in the clinic.

The old standy from Flexeral causes so much sleepiness. One of the better ones that wont make you as sleepy is Metaxalone.

For the record, I do not recall advising anyone to use hydrogen peroxide for oral treatment. Listerine, yes. H2O2, NO! If I did ever suggest this, I retract it. A general FYI, for any chemical substance, you can search online for its "MSDS," or "material safety data sheet." These documents contain information about the hazards of a given substance, and are useful in accessing the safety of some suggested remedies.

I have a decent but needy job so I need to do this around work. I have a bunch of Xanax and metaxalone (not sure if the muscle relaxers will help) but would love any additional suggestions that would help make this easier whilst holding down a full time job. Any ideas are welcome, seriously, just need some help here. Already feel like an idiot for getting this bad so don't want to go to my friends and my family are in another country.
