Common Questions and Answers about Metaxalone ingredients

skelaxin

Avatar m tn X-ray revealed nothing, and I have been through chiropractic and physical therapy with marginal relief at best ( ~ 24 hours.) medications used include metaxalone, valium and ibuprofen. stiffness has remained constant, w/ a reduced ROM when flexing my neck laterally. I also occasionally experience shooting pain up the left side of my neck when i rotate my head in that direction. Neck remains inflamed and "cracks" often.
874521 tn?1424116797 more 'interesting' reading....for us pet owners..... Disgusting, the FDA(as reported on the site) has determined that 'grocery store' pet food that labels ingredients of 'animal fat and bone meal' content to be likely from that of an EUTHANIZED ANIMAL. Am I reading this correctly???? Are euthanized animals being used as a 'meat' source by pet food company's? http://www.truthaboutpetfood.com/articles/whats-your-opinion-are-these-a-pet-food.
2063887 tn?1337829746 I was told the deep hip pain is caused by a deep spasm so close to the bone that you cannot see, but it is a spasm. Forget the technical name. Metaxalone was prescribed for me and it helps about 80% of the pain. I hope I answered your question, feel free to ping me if you have any more. I'm also in the MS community forum, and you can search Tysabri in the search field in that forum. We've had a ton of discussions on the drug. :) Hope you feel better soon!
Avatar m tn Neither Skelaxin (metaxalone) nor Celebrex (celecoxib) cause dependence. Your body will not crave either medication. You will not develop tolerance to either medication, nor will you suffer withdrawal symptoms in their absence. The usual dose of Skelaxin is 800mg every 6 to 8 hours (three or four times a day). Do not exceed the maximum daily dose, and don't mix Skelaxin with alcohol, barbiturates, or other CNS depressants.
Avatar f tn Can I ask why your Dr made the change? Was it his idea, or did you feel like you needed it? We don't know what fillers they use in these meds. I would ask my pharmacist. Do the pills look the same, or did your pharmacy switch companies? I get one of my medications at 2 different pharmacies. They're the exact same medication and the exact same dose but they look completely different at one pharmacy. And one pill is bigger than the other so I know it has more fillers in it.
Avatar n tn I cm chemically sensitive and find many creams irritating. I searched on-line to find out the ingredients in pramasone and eletone and could find nothing. I received samples of these from a dermatologist and without the ingredients. I am unable to find them on the web. Is there a site open to the public that lists ingredients? I was also advised to take Zyrtec and wondered if Zyrtec had any more benefit for skin reactions thank Claritin. Claritin didn't help at all.
Avatar n tn Not knowing if this from dust (we just moved) or the med I continued the med for about 2-3 more days getting worse. Then I decided to read the inert ingredients and learned that one of them was lactose monohydrate. Two main foods I cannot have are gluten and caisen (dairy). I was mad pharm companies should know better than to use any ingredient that is one of the top 10 food allergies! From now on before I start any med I am going to make sure I know ALL the inert ingredients.
Avatar f tn I just got switched to metaxalone 800mg and i cant say if they are better or worse than flexeril as they dont seem to affect me either. I am afraid to take more than two since they are 800mg but it might affect me, if it doesnt work i think i will switch back to flexeril as i feel safer taking a higher dose, honestly just because of the size of the metaxalone pills, which i know means nothing but I heard flexeril is the strongest so if something will help maybe that will.
Avatar n tn It has plenty of bad write up on the internet about it is dangerous to use as some ingredients can cause cancer. The ingredients that are most worrying in the product is propylparaben, methylparaben, diazolidinyl urea, EDTA which are deemed dangerous and can cause cancer. I have done some research on other products I use and found that these ingredients are in some cetaphil and dermologica products as well. In your professional opinion do you believe this product is safe to use.

Avatar f tn I know drinking some pop or coffee is okay but I wouldn't recommend any kind of energy drink. Those are horrrrible for you and especially for baby.
1452289 tn?1285614948 The old standy from Flexeral causes so much sleepiness. One of the better ones that wont make you as sleepy is Metaxalone.
Avatar n tn No, but you can look up the safety of the ingredients... Especially the numbing agents. If you're with just one partner and both monogamous, have fun. But, do keep in mind you can still get STDs and oral ones I've read are more difficult to treat so that's an unnecessary stressor on the pregnancy.
1028452 tn?1537448484 2Next, add the potato, rice, and the tomato (they get too soft too soon if you add them at the beginning), and let it cook on low heat until all the ingredients are soft.3Take the pot out, separate the juice from the ingredients and pour the ingredients in a bowl, separate the bones and using a potato masher (gousht-coob) or something similar, finely mash the whole mixture.4Taste a small portion and add more salt/pepper if needed.5When the mixture has a smooth texture, it can be served.
Avatar m tn I'm not sure I understand your question. Are you asking if the individual ingredients in the Levo you're taking affect the way it's metabolized? Or are you asking if Levo affects your metabolism in general? If your blood tests are optimal and you still have symptoms of hypothyroidism, either your labs aren't really "optimal" (in range isn't the same as optimal) or something else is causing the symptoms.
