Thank you for your advise. How long does it take for Neurontin side effects (edema) to disappear? We stopped the Neurontin 36 hours ago and the swelling was somewhat reduced after sleeping for 5 hours.....especially in his lower legs. The edema returns when he walks around, so he's resting with legs elevated a lot today.
He has good pedal pulses and any tenderness in his calves or feet is related to when the swelling increases.
Hi, please dont worry. Are there other right heart symptoms like pedal edema? They could be working you up to find out the cause for low O2 levels. Hope anemia has been ruled out. Certain systemic disorders like anemia, diabetes, vitamin deficiencies and thyroid disorders can cause these symptoms. Hope neck ultrasonography has been done. If there are problems in the bones it would have been picked up by CT scan. So, don't worry and discuss these options with your doctor.
About bit over a month ago, I was started on Minocycline for adult acne. I took it twice per day for about 2 1/2 weeks when I suddenly started having what I believe was a reaction. Common symptoms include abdominal cramping or pain, bloating and gassiness, and altered bowel habits(alternate constipation and loose stools).

Since you are having pedal and ankle edema and now parasthesias( tingling , numbness etc), so definitely it needs to be investigated. Ankle edema can be due to problems with blood flow like DVT can impair normal circulation and lead to swelling around the ankles, pregnancy, obesity, and varicose veins.
