Avatar n tn I have red/brown freckles on my lower legs and ankles. Have been on diclofenac potassium for a year for a torn meniscus. Could that have caused those spots?
1524673 tn?1327841500 Although other then the abdominal pain, the confusion and dissiness, weakness and paralisis in my left side can be probably from both my head and my adrenals. I have also ruptured c3 in my neck, the only pain I have from this is in my shoulder and arm a little in my neck but not much. C2 and C4 are bulging. I see a doctor for that on Tuesday. Until 2 weeks ago when I started passing out I avoided doctors because I was scared and had a bad experance with a Endo last year.
1204528 tn?1588786333 I checked interactions with carbamazepine + diclofenac epolamine topical/diclofenac ophtalmic/diclofenac potassium/diclofenac sodium/diclofenac topical.
Avatar f tn t have kneecaps. He prescribed diclofenac potassium for the pain. What other options do I have? The MRI shows the beginning of arthritic changes, but I still have a good cushion between the bones.
653169 tn?1303446369 I tried Mobic and Nabumatone and had problems with upset stomach and headache. In addition to Fibromyalgia I also have arthritis in my spine and shoulder, so I take it for that and I can't live without it. Ibuprofen and Naproxen doesn't even touch the inflammation and pain.
Avatar f tn Yes, I do use this medication, however my RA doc has me make it up into a cream and use it topically instead of swallowing them and risking stomach and intestinal damage. Diclofenac is a rather old, but good good antinflamatory NSAID medication that really can ruin your stomach which is why they don't prescribe it much anymore. I know it may sound strange but it works really well.
Avatar f tn Question. I have started taking Diclofenac 75mg x's 2 a day to try and see if a non narcotic medication may give me some relief long term with my rib pain. I have taken it for 2 weeks and at first I didn't think it was helping at all. Now I think 1 of 2 things either A) it's starting to build up in my system and is helping better or B) My ribs just happen to feel a bit better lately.
Avatar n tn i have taken diclofenac for over 20 years with no side effects i have had to come off the tablets 75mg x twice day 4 days ago as I am showing some drying of kidneys from another mediation to ensure it is that one i have come off anything whih might affect me.
Avatar f tn She had no idea what it was and did some blood work for my liver and also white count. My liver test came back with a protein slightly elevated. She is having more test done and I'm still wating to hear. Anyone have a clue??
Avatar m tn X-ray revealed nothing, and I have been through chiropractic and physical therapy with marginal relief at best ( ~ 24 hours.) medications used include metaxalone, valium and ibuprofen. stiffness has remained constant, w/ a reduced ROM when flexing my neck laterally. I also occasionally experience shooting pain up the left side of my neck when i rotate my head in that direction. Neck remains inflamed and "cracks" often.
Avatar m tn I think I need the strong stuff like diclofenac and B12 and b6. There is a pills called OKA B that I use to take when having muscle pain and it took pains away. But I've heard that diclofenac is not good to take during tx. Has anyone taken diclofenac during tx or is it too bad for the liver.
Avatar m tn I took serratiopeptidase + diclofenac potassium capsule by doctors advice. I took rest for 2 weeks but when I started playing it started again. Please advice.
Avatar n tn The effects of cholestyramine and colestipol on the absorption of diclofenac in man.Colestipol produces a similar but smaller effect. Though some information charts say that it should be used with caution in patients with Diabetes,it refers to underlying conditions as renal failure, hepatic impairment,IBS,stroke, clotting problems, asthma, allergies, CD/colitis,HTN,smoking,High LDL/HDL etc are present in your history. So donot worry about anything.
Avatar m tn They MUST follow the new MS IMAGING PROTOCOL for diagnosis. This includes MRIs and MRAs of the brain, neck and spinal cord with and without contrast. All tests are done at the same time at the imaging center. They should also check your blood ESR, CRP, ACE and ANA. AND NEXT TIME YOU HAVE ANY EYE SYMPTOMS GO DIRECTLY TO AN OPTHAMOLOGIST ( not an optician, they can only check you for glasses, etc). THEY NEED TO LOOK AT YOUR RETINA AND CHECK YOU FOR OPTIC NEURITIS, a presenting symptom for MS.
Avatar f tn s inflamed tendons and prescribed Diclofenac soldium XR, an anti-inflammatory, twice a day. Wondering if this drug is safe for him to take given hepatitis and Cirrhosis. He has a call back into the PCP to double check before taking it, and I have a call in to his hepatologist to double check before taking it. While waiting for calls back from PCP or hepatologist, wondering if anyone on this forum may know the answer?
Avatar n tn //www.drugs.com/voltaren-gel.html. Diclofenac is voltaren and the gel contains the Nsaid. This information states clearly that aspirin should not be used at the same time. Normally, blood thinners are also not used with Nsaids. So, speak with your doctor, of course, but would advise not to use these together based on the provided information.
Avatar n tn The first time I did it and actually got a reaction out of my body was when I was probably about 13-14, I took diclofenac potassium (25mg per pill) and citlopram (not mine, 10 or 20mg per pill). I can't remember how much I took, I think it was averaging at about 10 pills of each.
Avatar f tn Hi, I posted this question in the Cirrhosis forum, but I thought maybe I'd post it here too, since many members of the Hep C forum also have Cirrhosis. I have a question about an anti-inflammatory medication called Diclofenac for a person with Cirrhosis.
Avatar f tn There may be reasons why, for you, she is suspecting the Diclofenac and not the other. Give her a call and ask. Let us know what happens. I'm glad you're feeling better though - it must have all been pretty scary. I have allergies to some meds, but it's all skin reactions, not breathing stuff. I imagine that's terrifying.
Avatar n tn t get up and around too soon!!! I had it done years ago and went right back to work, WRONG! ...........That took me a few days to get over, but if I had followed Drs. orders I would have been fine the next day. Good excuse to have the wife "step and fetch it" for ya!!! Oh yeah, frozen peas!!!.........GOOD IDEA!!!
681148 tn?1437661591 but Shanna707 and I were just talking about Diclofenac. I have had trouble too with a lot of NSAIDs and stomach upset and Diclofenac seems to be one I can tolerate and it really helps my shoulder pain. If that isn't an option, you could get a steroid shot? I have a couple of other tips: use a roller ball mouse for your computer so you are not moving your arm. You just move your thumb. It takes about a day or two to get used to, but it helps a lot.
Avatar f tn Diclofenac is not an opiate and I have not seen anything indicating that it is addictive. This particular preparation is enteric coated, so it helps against stomach upset. It is part of the NSAID drug class and is an anti inflammatory. It is stronger than Aleive or Advil, so requires a prescription.
Avatar m tn The FDA just announced that dicoflenac gel (brand name Voltaren Gel) often prescribed for arthritis pain is linked to severe liver damage and it can happen within the first month of use According to the FDA, this topical gel has been reported to cause liver necrosis (death of liver cells), jaundice, and liver failure some cases of which have required liver transplant and some that have been fatal! Despite these horrible side effects, dicoflenac gel remains on the market.
473384 tn?1210206242 I have severe OA in my left hip and am scheduled for THR on monday. I am taking oxycontin and percocet (60-90mgs oxy/day and 15-20 mgs perc/day, depending) and have been on these for 1 year (I started with 1 percocet/day, HA! like that was going to last!). 6 months ago I started taking diclofenac (an NSAID) and apparantly it works REALLY WELL for pain b/c I am supposed to stop taking it 7-10 days before surgery b/c of bleeding issues.
Avatar n tn I've always had low pottassium and always had to eat a banana everyday. I also have Graves Disease, had hyperthyroidism and had RAI (radioactive iodine) then a Thyroidectomy. I never associated the two. I thought my low pottassium was from heart issues being born with a heart murmur. Maybe it does both fall together. Just get on the bananas and take a pottasium supplement everyday until the levels increase.
Avatar n tn They have a much higher amount of potassium (99mg is the minimum daily requirement). I had terrible leg cramps and started eating a couple bananas a day and snacking on raisins, and I rarely get them anymore.
