Neither Skelaxin (metaxalone) nor Celebrex (celecoxib) cause dependence. Your body will not crave either medication. You will not develop tolerance to either medication, nor will you suffer withdrawal symptoms in their absence. The usual dose of Skelaxin is 800mg every 6 to 8 hours (three or four times a day). Do not exceed the maximum daily dose, and don't mix Skelaxin with alcohol, barbiturates, or other CNS depressants.

X-ray revealed nothing, and I have been through chiropractic and physical therapy with marginal relief at best ( ~ 24 hours.) medications used include metaxalone, valium and ibuprofen. stiffness has remained constant, w/ a reduced ROM when flexing my neck laterally. I also occasionally experience shooting pain up the left side of my neck when i rotate my head in that direction. Neck remains inflamed and "cracks" often.

I was told the deep hip pain is caused by a deep spasm so close to the bone that you cannot see, but it is a spasm. Forget the technical name. I just got switched to metaxalone 800mg and i cant say if they are better or worse than flexeril as they dont seem to affect me either. I am afraid to take more than two since they are 800mg but it might affect me, if it doesnt work i think i will switch back to flexeril as i feel safer taking a higher dose, honestly just because of the size of the metaxalone pills, which i know means nothing but I heard flexeril is the strongest so if something will help maybe that will.

Ive not tried the red one, but the white non-alcohol wine tasted oddly of white grape juice and pop rocks lol.

Alcohol can make someone get behind the wheel of a car and go out and kill innocent people. I don't need alcohol and drugs to make my life unmanageable. Alcohol is only a symptom of my disease of addiction. I need to treat the entire disease.

I agree with Her description of an "allergy to alcohol" but I would take that a step further and say the reason We are "allergic" to alcohol is because alcohol is a poison to our bodies. EVERYONE who drinks enough to get drunk will have Their body react - Our bodies are sending us a 'message' - "this is not good for my ENTIRE system".....

That is 1) We admitted we were powerless over alcohol, and that our lives have become unmanageable. So many people get through the detox, at home (which can be dangerous and is often done though a medically supervised detox).It's like it's all or nothing. Those that don't have the opportunity to go to a residential / outpatient Rehab Facility do not instead go to an Addictions Therapist and use them for the therapy that is many times necessary to quit an addictive substance.

You can ask your doctor when you go see em. I wouldn't think it caused damage as long as you didn't get wild knock out drunk. I would suggest stay away from the alcohol now that you know. Because it can harm baby drinking during pregnancy. Especially now this is the time that everything is developing and drugs and alcohol can cause damage from all kinds of things. But if you just drank that one time and your 3-4 weeks the embryo would be 1-2 weeks.

You can read up on it you can have a glass of red wine and nothing will happen only once a week tho my whole pregnancy I only had one cup when I was like 4 months and I told my doc about it she said only red wine nothing else a lot of people don't know that so they will probably say your a bad mom lol just Google it

I talked to my dr (I know every dr has a different opinion) and he said that there is not enough research on fetal alcohol syndrome to be able to know exactly how much alcohol it takes to cause birth defects...I've heard of women drinking a glass of wine a day while they were pregnant and the baby was fine, I've heard of women drinking not even a full glass of wine during pregnancy and the baby was born with FAS...

What if you go into labour and have alcohol in your system? Imagine if they smelled it on you or it showed up in tests. I wouldn't risk it. Another weeks wait won't kill you.

Is there anyway to satisfy your craving without the alcohol in it? If so, just do that. I wouldn't recommend alcohol though.

I find myself crrrraaaaving alcohol but im so scared to drink it. I tasted a limearita drink and I sipped on some wine and both times I felt sooo bad!

I have taken Phentermine several times in the past and I was told by my DR. to AVOID drinking alcohol while taking phentermine. Phentermine is a stimulant that is similar to an amphetamine. It is an appetite suppressant that affects the central nervous system. It worked great for me loosing weight. But, I do have 2 friends that mixed alcohol and phentermine and it was NOT a pretty site. Many people go their whole pregnancy not knowing they are pregnant and ingest worse stuff, there isn't usually a lot of alcohol percentage to a bottle of wine, yes I agree it still shouldn't have been a whole bottle, just let your midwife or doctor know next time you see them so they can take the correct precautions at the birth incise anything does happen from it. Try not to stress over it what's done is done.

If you're looking for the caloric content of various alcoholic beverages, you might try one of the diet related forums here at Med Help. From my own experience, alcohol isn't a good idea if you're trying to lose weight or you're diabetic. It gets metabolized to sugar in a heartbeat.

Is it concluded that there is to be no more alcohol of any kind forever? What about after you have cleared the virus?

I am so glad that you have finally come to a realization that alcohol abuse is truly poisonous to your body. It leaches vitamins and nutrients out of you and damages your central nervous system. That is why I always suggest that alcohol detox take place in a hospital under medical supervision. You need to be on medication such as benzodiazapines to prevent seizures and have IV vitamin supplementation, especially thiamine, among others. Please do not take this advise lightly.

ur an alcoholic" lol. i was just saying, dont have anything more to drink in the mean time =P for both my pregnancies, i had no idea i was pregnant and i smoked and drank A LOT... i drank a lot more for the second bc i had just gotten outta the army lol. but, emma is right..babies are a lot stronger than people think!
