I have been trying to send a private message to a poster, as the messages are not going through, the setting will no doubt have the privacy settings set so as to not receive private messages. I am receive private messages from them, but am not able to reply. So instead I have been trying to send a "Note" but not as a "Friend". The message I get at the top of the page is "User is not accepting notes at this time".

I don't often add people onto my friends list; to be honest, I'm not sure of the benefits of having a friends list. Anyway, the only time I've had trouble posting a note or message to someone is if they've blocked receiving them. Not sure if they're receiving them from "friends only" or what. You may have notice the comment up to the right when you write to someone that says "not receiving messages at this time.

Spent ages writing you a novel...but it won't let me post to your inbox or leave a note on your page grrrr!...maybe you have to 'friend' me?

Two, Click on the note tab to check for new notes. It would be nice to have something That tells you, You have a new note. Like the inbox, maybe call it notes...lol..lol... Thanks GTMI....

Sometimes we are likely to forget and over step the limit of number of words in a note, requiring a delete or pasting in another note. to control the length of message, counting of words should be simultaneously shown near the message. This will facilitate in controlling the length of a note. Thanks.

To send someone either a note or message, put your mouse arrow over their user name and a box will pop up where you can click to send them a note or message (notes can be viewed by everyone, messages are private). You can also click on their name to go to their homepage and at the top right corner, there are options you can click on to send a note or message.

Is there a way you can get a message that says that the user is not accepting pm messages or notes before you hit the send. I just find it bothersome to type the message out and then find after the fact that it won't be going through. With pm messages I don't get any notices at all.

For me, I bring the mouse over the name of the person and then pick one of the options, post a note, send a message, etc. That usually works great, but then again, I had probs in the past sending to GrannyHotWheels. So, let us know if you've gotten it square, and if not, I'll find out the problem.
