Avatar f tn I had my last menstrual cycle January 2006. I have not had sexual intercourse in 6 years. I had sexual intercourse 3 days ago and have had vaginal bleeding since. I feel like I have cramps the way I did when I was menstruating many years ago. Not sure what is going on.
Avatar n tn but i have a question does this polyp grow by time do you know, can i wait or should i go straight away to remove it, and on what time i mean before menstrual cycle ore after mestral cycle u had your removed, if u remember of course. thank you for your help.
953045 tn?1246998580 Your doctor thought you had fibroids, but it was just the size of your uterus (normal, especially after having children) that set her off to get the ultrasound. The "thicker" endometrium was an incidental finding. Other conditions that can cause a thicker endometrium depend on your age and what your bleeding pattern is like. If you're not menopausal and have regular periods, it is probably normal.
Avatar m tn And another question does one menstrual cycle changes after an ectopic pregnancy because right now my menstrual cycle as gone haywire it is much heavier than it was and it has gone over the days that it normally does. Thanks for advice and waiting for your answer in regards to these question.
Avatar m tn Was told three years ago I was in menopause, have not had a menstrual cycle in three years. Started bleeding a couple of days ago, doctor requested an ultra sound. Ultrasound shows varicose veins through out my pelvic area along with a small polyp and one small fibroid tumor. My endometrial wall is 10mm and one of my ovaries could not be seen. I'm scheduled for an endometrial biopsy tomorrow, but I'm concerned to what all this means.
701563 tn?1228359916 I am 43 yrs old and am morbidly obese. In Mar 06 I started having spotting in between my menstrual cycles. After an ultrasound, I was diagnosed with an endometrial polyp and had a D&C and hysteroscopy in Aug 06 to remove it. The pathology report came back benign. In Oct 08 I started having similar symptoms (cramping, irregular periods, occasional spotting between periods), so my gyn did an ultrasound and another polyp was found.
1259649 tn?1336414032 laparoscopic myomectomy to remove fibroids and a polyp. Well, just a few weeks after the surgery I had an extremely light cycle; just about 3 days. This month I am now 2 weeks late; but what is strange is that had all the symptoms of AF without it coming on?? I was just wonderning if this is a normal effect from the surgery or is something else going on. Also, took test yesterday (just to make sure) & got BFN.
Avatar f tn She said if after 3 months cyst is still the same size and the lining of polyp is still thick then we can do Laprscopy and remove it. I am sooo confused...I am getting married in December...and all this things make me very nervous... Please help and advise.
Avatar f tn The technical definition of menopause is one year after the last menstrual period. However, for different individuals, patterns come in many varieties. While your situation is likely one of the variations of normal, it the spotting keeps up, see your doctor just to be sure there isn't a polyp or other reason for it happening. This will just keep you on the safe side. And it will stop you from worrying. Machelle M.
Avatar f tn I've never heard of using birth control pills to "shed" a polyp. The only treatment I've ever had for the (multiple) times I've had this issue is surgery to remove the polyp. I'm very surprised that you haven't had any heavy bleeding as a result of this polyp because that's usually the first sign I know I have one then later confirmed with an ultrasound. Are you sure your doctor is a real gynecologist?
Avatar f tn My symptoms started in March at onset of menstrual period with fever 101 -102, fatigue and extreme diarrhea that lasted 3 days. I thought it was the stomach flu, diarrhea cleared but I continued to have loose stools and gas from that day on. About three weeks later I had severe tailbone pain for three days which disappeared after I purged in prep for my colonoscopy. Colonoscopy clear.
Avatar f tn A woman with a light period is not gaining much thickness in her endometrial lining during the early part of the menstrual cycle. This is usually an indication that estrogen levels are lower than normal. If estrogen levels are low, progesterone levels are likely to also be low and a woman may or may not ovulate with her cycles.
Avatar f tn they found 3 in mine at my mock transfer when we were getting ready to start my first IVF cycle. this was after 7 years of struggles including 3 m/c between 4-5 weeks of pregnancy. i had a d&c to remove the polyps which turned out to be benign fibroids.
Avatar n tn Bleeding usually occurs 3-5 days after mid-cycle/ovulation which I have been monitoring thru ovulation sticks and occurence of mittelschmirz. Saw my OB-Gyne coz we were also trying to conceive. USG showed a polyp so I underwent H/S polypectomy 2 months ago. However, I still continued to have the spotting during my 2nd half of cycle byt the frequency and amount is lesser than pre-polypectomy. Does this mean my spotting is not due to the polyp? And does this also mean I have DUB/hormonal issues?
Avatar n tn I had a polyp removed before my IVF cycle. It was approx. 1/2" (kinda big). Had it done under general anesthesia, out patient. It wasn't too bad, worse than a D&C and not as bad as a lap. B/c mine was so large I spotted pretty heavily for about 4 or 5 days. And there was some pain, but I just took a pain pill 1x a day for 2 days. All in all, not bad. Good luck!
Avatar n tn Hi, If there are no post operative complications, you can definitely attend to the work one or two days after the surgery. But should give complete voice test for one or two weeks depending upon the size of the polyp. This will be advised to you by your surgeon.
