Meloxicam headache

Common Questions and Answers about Meloxicam headache

Avatar n tn Now after reading about Meloxicam side effects today, I am suspecting that perhaps the issue is the Meloxicam. My symptoms seem slightly different each day. Initially it was a few days of mostly lower leg weakness and overall lack of energy. That changed to a few days of lower leg tingling and numbness, and then the numbness and tingling moved to mostly my right side leg and arm and slightly in my left leg.
Avatar n tn The pain usually became worse as the day went on, never anything very severe, but annoying enough to seek a doctor. My doctor diagnosed me with tension type headaches and prescribed me with meloxicam, somas, and fiorinal with codeine for occasional use. Well I continued to have these headaches for about a month, and the medications didn't appear to be helping a whole lot. I have to admit that I was very concerned (and probably tense) because of them.
Avatar f tn Opiates should not be used in migraine, and can cause rebound headache. If what your headaches are are really migraines, it's ibuprofen or prescription tryptan drugs. Sometimes certain foods are triggers for migraines. You might want to keep a food diary and a migraine diary, and see if there's any correlation. Trigeminal neuralgia can also cause horrible headaches, and is treatable with certain anticonvulsant drugs. For the constipation and diarrhea, increase your fiber intake.

Avatar m tn can this really be migraine? A constant headache (basically every second) and inflamed blood vessels without sensitivity to light or nausea? I've changed my diet, excluding anything that is considered a migraine trigger and I jog 20-30 minutes every day, use Yoga and meditation, b-2, feverfew, magnesium glycinate, fish oil and still can't stop these headaches....what can I do?
Avatar m tn 5mg of Meloxicam for four days and 400mg of Norfloxacin for one day. I have had an all day extremely severe headache. I have taken Meloxicam previously without getting headaches. Would this be likely caused by one of these drugs or interaction and how should I proceed please?
Avatar f tn My neurologist did not tell me what medications of the 9 he just prescribed for me that I could take together and that I couldn't take together. I took Meloxicam this morning for my "mild" headache, but over the course of the day my headache has gotten severly worse. I took what my notes said to do for my "migraines" and took Cambia...I just researched that these two things are not supposed to be taken I in big trouble?
Avatar f tn Sinusitis, refractive errors of the eye, migraine, cluster headaches, brain tumors, high blood pressure, temporal arteritis, pinched cervical spinal nerve, tension headaches, poor or disturbed sleep etc are several causes of headaches. Dental pain and ear ache can cause similar symptoms. Please consult a headache and migraine specialist to rule out these causes one by one. Take care!
Avatar f tn To date I hvae been on three medications for my headaches (meloxicam, zomig and propranolol) but nothing seems to help. My headache has lasted for a month straight but it seems to be getting worse. My family doctor seems to think that I have sinus, tension and migraine headaches. The pain and sensitivity to light has become so bad that I have to sit in a dark and not move all night after a day at school. The pain is mainly behind my eye and on my nose bridge, then it spreeds to my forehead.
Avatar m tn The pressure headache may be due to primary headache such as tension headache. This is associated with stress and may respond to rest, ice pack and pain medications. A headache journal may also help identify the possible triggers for the headache. In this way, you can identify and avoid such triggers. Take care always.
Avatar f tn I was recently diagnosed with migraine after driving on a cloudy day without sunglasses for an hour and a half that resulted in a terrific headache, sensitivity to light and spotlights blocking my vision. The following day I could not stand up and felt like I had been given novacaine (sp) from a dentist--the left side of my tongue and upper palate were numb. I was given Benadryl, Reglan and Toradol which made me feel terrible by an ER doctor.

1550149 tn?1340004330 In a search for an answer to your side effects question I also did some looking into the prescribed Meloxicam. Some of the side effects of Mobic (meloxicam) are problems with vision or balance and headaches. Sorry I could not be of greater assistance. Please discuss your SX with your prescribing physician. It may behove you to try an alternative pain medication to see if your SX will decrease or resolve.

Avatar f tn 5 Months ago around March 20 I had an ice pick headache - I've had a few before and moved on and no other issues. I then had a pretty bad weather related headache because it was storming for 3 days, but then the headache never left. I then had a sharp ear ache which I went to the Dr and he said I had inflamed sinuses and a retracted ear drum. He gave me some Dicloflenac and said I might have a tension headache.
1605482 tn?1297868378 I have had the headaches (well...ONE headache that just changes throughout the day...) for 19 years. I had the decompression surgery about 7 years ago. No relief at all from the headaches. About 3 years ago, I went to a Neurologist and she diagnosed me with a separate problem... Occipital Neuralgia. (a compressed nerve). Surgery was an option, but my Neurosurgeon ruled it out. Said that it wouldn't be a good idea. The headaches are worse these days.

735676 tn?1257575826 I posted this originally in the headache forum, but after an invitiation to join this group from marileew, I thought I would post it again here for any additional insight. For the past ten years I have been suffering with dibilatating migraines, insomuch that I am completely incapacitated for the duration of the migraine (lasting anywhere from a day to three or more days in a row) and oftentimes feeling completely fatigued and depressed afterward.
1710955 tn?1309450073 I've been on Rebif 22mcg (not 44) for almost 3 years -- no relapses. The "flu-like" symptoms are really mild, & I rarely get them. Mostly a morning-after headache occasionally. Once or twice a major episode with chills, joint pain, etc for a few hours. I also take Advil an hour or so before, and I warm the injection site; make sure the syringe is at body temp. I DO get big red spots that last for weeks, but no pain, itching, etc.
471354 tn?1221065794 Pregabilin, Meloxicam, Memantine, Lexapro, Paroven Forte, Baclofen for spasm (diazepam10mg on occasion only, as risk addictive), Mersyndol Forte (or Fiorinal) ... NOTHING gives adequate relief to allow REM sleep.
635402 tn?1270166077 They are trying Meloxicam usually just called Mobic. I looked it up, it doesn't say anything about being for pain, but it is an anti inflammatory med, so I wondered if anyone else had experience with this medication. It is good for slowing down my osteoporosis so that's good.
Avatar m tn There's a constant tightness that doesn't hurt unless I move of am bumped. Every time I move the headache flares and the room spins. The tingling is worse, I can't stand on one foot, I randomly stumble/fall. Sometimes at school I feel like I'm getting shots, a sharp/achey pain in my arms and legs and I feel like there's water on my legs. My neck is stiff and aches and hurts when I move it. Acetaminophen is useless. I'm on tizanidine and meloxicam (mel. for unrelated issues), so no ibuprofen.
