I've been diagnosed with Plantar Fasciitis and Heel Spur. My wife noticed the bone structure where my foot and ankle meet is larger than my left foot. Podiatrist feels ankle pain is attributed to compensation from the pain of the Plantar Fasciitis. I wear prescribed orthotics. The pain in the ankle area is horrendous when I'm working. With burning and sharp pain waves.
My friend have heel spurs (kinda Plantar Fasciitis) on both feet for a month now.The left foot is healing on its own but the right is still uncomfortable. especially bothersome while and after running. He went to seen 3 surgeons and everyone suggested different remedies to get rid off.
As he used to run for jogging so he asked surgeon to shoes for plantar fasciitis and heel spurs as he doesn't want to stop running.
i have had many treatments for plantar fasciitis including inserts for my shoes, many pairs of new shoes, physical therapy for both my feet and my knee, injections and have been on all types of NSAIDS since this started. i have had 3 MRI's of my neck, low back and my knee to rule out other causes. About a year ago the pain from my feet started to move up my legs into a throbbing, aching, cold type of pain that is relieved by heat and time and pain medication (darvocet).
I've had plantar fasciitis for close to a year and recently, my lower back and knees have begun hurting. I went from 230 to 258 in less than a year, partially due to my fasciitis and subsequent lack of running and exercise. Could my knee pain be coming from PF or weight gain? Or a combination thereof? My lower back pain, could that also be caused by the two? I'm 5'8 and otherwise healthy 25 yr old.

People with MS can be susceptible to plantar fasciitis if they have tight calf muscles from spasticity but people that don't have MS certainly experience it as well.
I had surgery for my plantar fasciitis. So I've been there, done that with the burning. Still have burning stuff, so doc has me taking Lyrica for it. Seems to really help. Have you tried that before?
If the pain is close to the heel, and it is worse in the morning, then it is likely plantar fasciitis. The pain from plantar fasciitis usually diminishes as you walk on it. (at least at firsts) You could also be describing symptoms of neuropathy (are you diabetic?) The pins & needle description tends to indicate a possibility of diabetic neuropathy. If you have flat feet, then you may have posterior tibial tendon disfunction.

First diagnose was Plantar Fasciitis and I was treated with injections and a walker boot and also PT. Six months later I was diagnosed with fractures in both heels and have been in two casts, crutches and another walking boot. I am still in pain! I just had an MRI that shows Marrow Edema in four bones of my foot. What does this mean? I do not see the Dr. again for two weeks! I can't be on my feet for any length of time with suffering excruciating pain!
i've got Plantar Fasciitis also and had surger on left foot and symtoms in right foot, oh boy what a mistake having the surgery the after effects has been going on since early Dec 09 with a couple more injection to break up scare tissue. for my right foot i did stretching excerizes several times aday to my calf and actually i don't have much issues with it anymore.

Hi thanks. Toradol! Yes I've heard of that but haven't tried it. I'll research it and ask my doc. I take a 1x day nsaid called Mobic. (Meloxicam) that's working ok. But still need something for breakthrough pain. Thanks I'll check that out for sure.
I am 29 yr old female.I am having plantar fasciitis since 8 months.I have pain in the heel of the foot.Also I experience pain in the inside of the heel whenever I put pressure on my feet while walking.I had been to podiatrist yesterday.After taking a look at the X-rays, he suggested it could be nerve entrapment and he will try giving the alcohol injections to kill the nerve.
Can you please tell me what are the symptoms of nerve entrapment.I really do not want to take the injections.
