t see why maxalt would be a contender for treatment of chiari induced headache. Just based on the mechanism of action of the drug I feel it could be quite dangerous. Diamox (acetazolamide) has some off label uses but I am still combing through the limited publications on the subject and wouldn't suggest it unless u had very specific imaging and symptoms.

Try the imatrex subcutaneous injections they are fast acting, non of the fillers and crap I suspect the pills have and it sounds like your insurance is worried about the cost of maxalt, well they will crap when they have to put out for the injections and in my 25 years of my living hell, they are the best, hands down, fit for god himself.

Also, my symtoms don't exactly match the standard either, but after going to a Headache clinic I was confirmed as having migraines-the pain is on either the left or right front of my forehead never goes beyond the ears and can be a real pain unless I catch them at the beginning, if wake up with "full blown" it becomes a race btw the Maxalt and the migraine, I have had anywhere from 15-18 per month, also have to use strong coffee and ice pack or it's just a waste of the Maxalt a
i took 2 maxalt on saturday for a migraine, it didnt help at all, actually made it worse making me vomit for 3 days and today is friday, 6 days later and i still feel like, tired, weak, foggy, not hungry, cant really go to the bathroom even though i feel like i have to. is this gonna go away?
