If your Doctor is aware of the potential side effects of Tramadol and Maxalt and you are being closely monitored, then I apologize for alarming you. If not, you definitely need to talk to him/her about it.
Should you decide to discontinue one of these drugs before speaking with your Doctor, the Maxalt would be the one. Don't stop taking the Tramadol. It has to be tapered down.
I take zoloft and ultram on a daily bsbis. Is there any concern with bad interactions? so far I feel none.
I currently take Amiodarone 200mg a day, Metoprolol 100mg a day, Prilosec OTC 40mg a day. I have occasional Atrial Fibrillation. I was put on the Metoprolol in 2004 (my dosage is much lower now) and the Amiodarone in July 2008. I suffer greatly from panic attacks and extreme anxiety. My doctor prescribed Zoloft for me at 25mg a day for two weeks, then 50mg a day thereafter. He knows all the meds I currently take, of course.
I have migraines about every other day, and take 5mg maxalt for them. I was just given Remeron for depression, as the doc said i cannot take any SSRI's because of serotonin syndrome. I cannot find and interactions for Remeron, but just wondering if anyone else has tried these together. Any info appreciated.

Watch out for interactions with grapefruit juice and meds. I went on Zoloft in anticipation of beginning treatment. Then read about the grapefruit juice-turns out they use the same enzyme to clear your system so you can get too much of the drug in your system and get liver toxicity. Grapefruit acts that way with many drugs, so check first, then drink up.
I've been on Zoloft for 2wks now for panic disorder and mdd. week1 was 25mg and week2 50mg. while I've felt a bit of a difference in both my depression and anxiety, I still worry about a few things. one being drug interactions. I've asked my doctor and pharmacist a couple questions but i'm still hesitant about a couple things.
1. is it ok to drink chamomile tea while on Zoloft?
2. are pain relief meds like ibuprofen and acetaminophen ok to take while on Zoloft?
does either imitrex or maxalt contain caffeine? I was taking Maxalt for migraines and it worked great! Now my insurance has decided I need to try Imitrex before they will approve coverage for the Maxalt. The Imitrex took about 2 hours to have any effect, but eventually my headache subsided. Since then I have had recurring headaches for 4 days.
m going to assume the later). Maxalt is available in a regular tablet form and an oral dissentigrating (ODT) form. The regular tablet form is now available in generic and is fairly cheap. If you received the brand name only ODT version then I would make sure the MD writes for only generic drugs and ask the pharmacist (who should have mentioned it came in generic in a different formulation) if there is something similar that the MD can change it to before you pay a lot for a RX.

Stay away from St. John's work and SAM-E I think it's called, they both have serious interactions that are extremely harmful. Sam-E even has a warning that it's not to be taken by Bipolars. . Be aware that just because something is natural doesn't mean it isn't dangerous or may interact with your meds. I honestly wouldn't waste your time on Acai berry, it's just hype, it's basically just an expensive juice.

Also, my symtoms don't exactly match the standard either, but after going to a Headache clinic I was confirmed as having migraines-the pain is on either the left or right front of my forehead never goes beyond the ears and can be a real pain unless I catch them at the beginning, if wake up with "full blown" it becomes a race btw the Maxalt and the migraine, I have had anywhere from 15-18 per month, also have to use strong coffee and ice pack or it's just a waste of the Maxalt a
and im scared of this i see right here on this site it says theres possibly severe interactions to combing these?? i mentioned this to him and he seemed to brush that off or not agree??? help. should i be weening off slowly the zoloft while starting slow on effexor same time or just switching right over?? thanks for any info you all can give me!!
s making me absolutely miserable and I feel like I am going insane. I have seen a doctor who has prescribed me Latuda and Lamictal. I started out taking Zoloft but it made me much more manic which is how the bi polar diagnosis was made. In addition to the racing thoughts, extreme anxiety I am also severely depressed to the point I am not functioning well. Before the Latuda I was on Zyprexa which made me suicidal.
My question is could the Latuda be contributing to the racing thoughts?
I was taking 100 darvocet once a day, took 900 mg of gabapentin a day, 100 mg of tramadol 3 times a day, prozac 40 mg a day, mevacor 20 mg a day, elavil 100 mg at night, 1200 mg ibropofen a day, migraine medicine (maxalt 10) 3-4 times a week. basically I went into the e.r. where they basically were going to send me to the psych ward (which they didn't even have one), I left.
