Avatar f tn When an antibiotic is deemed necessary, Zithromax (azithromycin) is commonly used. Azithromycin is a macrolide antibiotic that is effective against M pneumonia. But, if the sinusitis is caused by a fungus or virus azithromycin will not help. In some cases, sinusitis can last for several weeks before it resolves. If the symptoms persist for longer than a few weeks your physician may refer you to an ear, nose, and throat specialist.
366262 tn?1360031596 That's awesome! You're so lucky to have IVF coverage! The IVF process basically goes over two months. The first month to suppress your ovaries (you'll probably be on lupron and possibly also birth control); and the second month to stimulate your ovaries, grow the follicles, retrieval and transfer. Most women are on the follicles stimulating meds for about 10 days or so.

1284791 tn?1271994267 After we set all of this up we applied for group coverage. We did this in order to get maternity coverage, which is otherwise unavailble in Texas. To our delight we saw that we could select anf IVF rider. We weren't sure we would need it, but figured it was a definite possiblity, so we opted for it. It increased our premium by about 40%, but it has obviously long since paid for itself! I am so greatful we did all of this, even though it was a huge hassle.
Avatar f tn In order to keep your coverage continuous, you cannot let it lapse for more than 62 days. That's where COBRA comes in. If you leave one company before starting with another, or if your new company's benefits don't kick in for three months, you should buy COBRA coverage to keep your coverage continuous. Otherwise, you'll be back at square one with the 12-month waiting period.

Avatar f tn Yes as thru my own experience I have history of bad arrhythmia all these years and cos of possible Long QT syndrome, I am not allowed to take too much of this antibiotic from the macrolide group for fear of prolonging the QT more on ECG. Avatar f tn Some include tetracycline, macrolide and fluoroquinolone. You need to check with your doctor about this to prevent antibiotic resistant bacteria from building up, ahixh is unlikely though. 2) First treat the bacteria. And i think what you are experiencing is mostly anxiety, which is very common in some patients.
Avatar m tn The standard treatments for NGU are either a tetracycline antibiotic, usually doxycycline; or a macrolide antibiotic, usually azithromycin. Feel free to post a comment after you have been seen at the GUM clinic. Until then I won't have anything more to say.
Avatar n tn The z pak is Azithromycin that is a macrolide-type antibiotic and is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections by stopping the growth of bacteria. Azithromycin will not work for viral infections such as the common cold or flu. If you have been prescribed with this antibiotic by your doctor, it is likely that you were prescribed this medication because the doctor was of the opinion that you have a chest infection or a upper respiratory tract infection, or both.
