macrobid while nursing

I recently noticed while taking macrobid(I have IC) I also had bright red spotting!

Uti or bladder infection. My doctor proscribed me macrobid. Terrified to take it, anyone else had to use this while pregnant, I'm only 8 weeks!

Has anyone been perscribed, or taken macrobid at the ens of there pregnancy? I was proscribed it. I habe two different drs and im.being induced monday. And it DIRECTLY states dont use it 37 weeks or later or close to delivery. .. im scared and this pregnancy is so freaking hard on me. Im getting to the point of giving up. And i dont want to cause my boy and family need me to fight.

ok girls.. i got the macrobid filled.. Im just going to take it. Im still nervous about it but, the infection is probably worse for the baby.

I am 12/2 and I am battling my second URI since conception. I am absolutely miserable and don't want to take any medications (I am in nursing school and know the risks for everything). Any suggestions as to how to not feel so miserable but avoid meds, i welcome any organic/chemical free suggestions!!

I've never had a uti. I'm 27 and this is my first one they put me on macrobid. It seems I'm using the bathroom every 30 minutes. Before I went to doc to see what was wrong I wasn't peeing like this...has anyone has this before? Did macrobid make you pee a lot and tired??

I've had 3 uti's this pregnancy, therefore I have been put on macrobid for the remaining of my pregnancy. I have to take 1 every night until I deliver. Started @32 weeks am now 35+5. No problems from it yet. I haven't had any syptoms of uti so I would never known if it weren't for the urine soles at Dr. Office.

ve been bleeding.. This makes me nervous because while taking macrobid I had sex without a condom, he pulled out, but I know that's not always a safe alternative either. I know that during early pregnancy bleeding isn't uncommon. I'm scared out of my mind.. I'm completely against abortion and this anxiety is killing me. Could it be something else that's causing me to bleed a week early while on the pill??

I took two rounds of macrobid a 10day and a 7 day. Neither worked for me and I had to get a shot of rocephin. i have no clue if it can effect hcg levels or not.

I'm 10 weeks and I have a UTI. ER doctor prescribed me Macrobid 100mg BID for ten days. Have any one taken this while pregnant? I googled it, and there were a lot of horror stories......just curious to see if others have taken, and there pregnancy remained normal...

Hi.. has anyone else taken macrobid for uti?? Is it normal to feel horribly sick with it? How did you all deal with the nausea? My doc gave me reglan but it doesn't seem to be helping and I'm hardly half way with macrobid.. I've been non functional while taking it and it's getting worse every day. Any advise on dealing with it will be appreciated..

I am 1.5 weeks into yaz birth control pills. Due to being on antibiotics (macrobid) I have had diarrhea about three times in the last 1.5 weeks. Am I any less protected?

2 weeks later I expereinced frequent urination , and sometimes the urge to urinate even though I didnt need to go. While I had these symptoms I had a upper repsitory infection and was treated with a standrard Z pack and since that didnt work they also put me on doxycycline for a week. The frequent urination continued for a couple months so I seeked out a uroligist, standard std test were negative, the dipstick test showed no WBC's .

My doc precribed me the antibiotic macrobid. She said it is safe during pregnancy but I have read so many post from woman online who say macrobid caused them problems nor even miscarriage. I have had 3 miscarriages and this pregnancy seems to be going really well. So im very nervous to take this med. Do any of you ladies know of any natural ways to get rid of a uti? Also if you have taken this med during pregnancy, what was the out come?

I was given macrobid at 20 weeks for a uti my dr said it was safe to take while pregnant. Im now almost 32 weeks and baby is fine. Although i think she said yeast infections were common with it I never got one. These sites online may not be the most reputable so I wouldn't listen much. Plus if you dont take meds you could end up with bladder or kidney infection.

I’m currently taking Antibiotic Macrobid for my UTI and I was given 1 dose of naproxen At the hospital for my severe uti pain. Could any of this be the stopping my conception and implantation? My period is due in 6 days, what are the chances I can still be pregnant?

I know exactly what you're going through...I have a history of kidney stones and UTI (with pregnancy and without) and I went in for blood in my urine and back pain...and they said that my urine was clear (no infection) and everything else looked fine..but that because of the blood they prescribed macrobid as a preventative. I did NOT take it, and I think I should have.

I was just curious if anyone is or has tried to concieve while nursing. My DS is almost 6 months old and I have had AF twice since birth, but it is irregular (which is normal for me b/c AF was irregular prior to concieving baby number 1). I do know that the weakness and numbness in one side can be caused by the MS, but it did not occur until i took the macrobid. I was stopped from taking the macrobid and started on it 2 more times and each time the weakness returned. Is there anyway to fix this? It is getting rather annoying and saddens me cause it feels like i cant do anymore what i like to. If anyone has had the same thing happen, please let me know im not alone... As long as you and baby are happy, and you have no medical issues preventing it,there is no reason to stop nursing even after baby comes. A few nursing support groups to help with tandem nursing I found are the La Leche League (LLL) and breastfeeding mom talk.
