Significantly increased drug exposures occurred when VIREAD was administered to subjects with moderate to severe renal impairment [See Clinical Pharmacology (12.3)].
I am not aware that impaired renal function precludes treatment for HCV. I have read that kidney disease is a negative predictor of SVR but, so too are a lot of conditions yet people have overcome them. I have seen articles which discuss the plasma levels of ribavirin with renal impaired patients. The suggestion is that rather than weight base dose these patients the dose should be arrived at by considering GFR (glomerular filtration rate).

Drink ample amounts of fluids. If the symptoms persist then proteinuria can be the cause. It can happen due to renal causes or other causes like infections, sarcoidosis, multiple myeloma, and SLE. i have lupus, multiple ureters on one side and history of reoccurring pyelonephritis. i have been have uti symtoms for a few weeks took entire prescription of macrobid and started feeling slightly better but only for a couple days. i have a lot of flank and abdominal pain. i have been taking cranberry capsules and drinking water. i took 2 home uti test and both showed positive for leukocytes.
By "AGE" I'm assuming you mean a persons age in years. I don't believe age has anything to do with Janumet's "effectiveness" but age has a larger role with renal function. To make it clear for other readers, Janumet is combination of two drugs; Sitagiptin and Metformin.

I also have kidney damage from a bout of high blood pressure 4 years ago, and I am a frequent kidney stone former, so I am being watched carefully by a nephrologist too. I have renal panels frequently too. I was wondering if any of this could increase my stone risk. I was reading about the cytomel and stones. The nephrologist wants me to remain on the synthroid and cytomel.

The mean elimination half-life is 22 to 60 hours (mean = 40 hours). So, I would expect that after 7 days (4.2 half-lifes) that the concentration would be about 5.5% (0.5^4.2) of the maximum levels.
Glomerular filtration rate or its approximation of the creatinine clearance are measured whenever renal disease is suspected or careful dosing of nephrotoxic drugs is required. The normal ranges of GFR, adjusted for body surface area for males is 70 ± 14 mL/min/m2 (56-84) . Risk factors for kidney disease include diabetes, high blood pressure, family history and older age.

DOES MACROBID CAUSE BLEEDING OR MAKE YOUR MENSTRUAL CYCLE COME EARLY. I JUST FINISHED MACROBID 7 DAY TREATMENT. MY MENSTRUAL CAME 3 DAYS EARLY AND THERE IS BRIGHT RED BLOOD AND USUALLY MY MENSTRUAL BLOOD IS NOT THAT BRIGHT. I INITIIALLY WASNT DUE FOR MY MENSTRUAL UNTIL YESTERDAY I'VE BEEN BLEEDING SINCE THE 3RD AND IM STILL BLEEDING BUT NOT ALOT LIKE I WAS YESTERDAY AND THE DAYS BEFORE BUT THE BLEEDING HAS LIGHTENED.
I do know that the weakness and numbness in one side can be caused by the MS, but it did not occur until i took the macrobid. I was stopped from taking the macrobid and started on it 2 more times and each time the weakness returned. Is there anyway to fix this? It is getting rather annoying and saddens me cause it feels like i cant do anymore what i like to. If anyone has had the same thing happen, please let me know im not alone... How can the weakness and numbness be stopped.
says it might be aseptic ceptitis and has prescribed Macrobid 100mg until I can get for an ultrasound which is booked for over a month from now. I think, because I had it before, that it is a simple bladder irritation and I was able to look after it by stopping tea and coffee and lasting it out. Are there any dangers to doing this again?

Did anyone take macrobid for uti during third trimester?
Uti or bladder infection. My doctor proscribed me macrobid. Terrified to take it, anyone else had to use this while pregnant, I'm only 8 weeks!
Has anyone been perscribed, or taken macrobid at the ens of there pregnancy? I was proscribed it. I habe two different drs and im.being induced monday. And it DIRECTLY states dont use it 37 weeks or later or close to delivery. .. im scared and this pregnancy is so freaking hard on me. Im getting to the point of giving up. I'm 10 weeks and I have a UTI. ER doctor prescribed me Macrobid 100mg BID for ten days. Have any one taken this while pregnant? I googled it, and there were a lot of horror stories......just curious to see if others have taken, and there pregnancy remained normal...

There are preferred opiates drugs that are use in patients with liver disease that have shorter half-lives and have less harmful side effects on the renal system. Your liver doctor should be aware of these drugs and be able to determine if you may be able to use them.
With regards to OTC medications, normal recommended doses of acetaminophen can be safely given to patients who suffer from cirrhosis in the short term.
