I found out tuesday that i have a pretty horribly UTI after swearing i had a yeast infection. I was put on Macrobid 1 pill twice a day for 7 days. This is day is day 3 of the pills and i was wondering how long until it starts working? i am not in nearly as much pain as I was, but the pain with urination is still there slightly and get worse at night.
Hi.. has anyone else taken macrobid for uti?? Is it normal to feel horribly sick with it? How did you all deal with the nausea? My doc gave me reglan but it doesn't seem to be helping and I'm hardly half way with macrobid.. I've been non functional while taking it and it's getting worse every day.
Any advise on dealing with it will be appreciated..
Well back in November I got a bladder infection the week before my outbreak and was treated and I was fine. Well last week I got another bladder infection, and had a prescription for macrobid so I completed the course, and subsequently came down with a yeast infection. Treated that, and now I have my monthly outbreak, except I woke up with the bladder issues yesterday, I'm afraid of taking antibiotics, and I don't have insurance. My question is can HSV2 cause bladder, UTI issues?

sounds like you have an infection either uti or yeast totally normal in pregnancy you could even have both at the same time witch would cause it to feel unbearable to walk or get up I've experienced this my second time around go to your doctors as soon as possible and ask the to check you for a uti so that they can give you macrobid so it'll go away then go to a local drug store and buy mionistat 7 day and a yeast infection test good luck start drinking cranberry juice hope you feel bet
I went to UC for kidney infection/kidney pain in my lower back rt hand side. The symptoms were severe the night before. Left a urine sample and was told i have a bad bladder inf. Dr prescribed macrobid. Then next morning my lower back was hurting again, same spot. Will macrobid help clear up a kidney infection?
This burning sensation has been on and off since beginning of April. I had the same sensation when I had the initial yeast infection and then it lingered for about a month and then it like went away slightly and every now and then it would burn but not that bad or at least thats what it would seem like. But now the burning seems to have come back just as bad.
they gave me antibiotics, and I had a weird but horrible infection of some sort afterwards. I never got to ask my doc if I could take d.mannose, as he was on vacation.
So, right now I am being treated with Macrobid for a bladder infection, Valtrex for possible HSV, and a cream yeast infection treatment. I was given a hospital-grade topical ointment containing lidocain for the burn. The doctor said that regardless of what the problem is, it should be gone in a few days. I am very unhappy with this conclusion, as I want to know for sure if I have HSV or not, obviously.
That means I could have had the UTI for at least a few days before it got treated.) I also a yeast infection and took generic diflucan for this. I took Macrobid for the UTI and after I finished the prescription (four days after I finished it, about 3 weeks after my trip) I developed a rash/hives on my back, chest, face (there were a few big hives on/around my eyes making it hard to see), hands, and crotch.
The doctor office via phone conversation called me in a medication for a yeast infection. It has a refil, she says the antibiotic I am on can cause a pesky yeast infection. I do not have all the burning anymore but still a bit uncomfortable. Maybe from thinking about it all the time!! The A&D worked pretty good also. I am wndering if I still may have herpes!!! I talked to the guy and he is still fine and his girl is fine also. I am so stressted.
I called my ob/gyn and explained how I had been treated for everything and even had negative results, so I thought maybe it was just a severe yeast infection. She prescribed a dose of Diflucan which I took roughly 3 days ago. The swelling went away within hours, the discharge started to ease up and the itching diminished a little bit, but here we are a few days later and it's started to swell again, but not as much as before, just the skin around the opening of my vagina.
Actually, macrobid does cause spotting & vahinal bleeding.

I went to the emergency room and the doctor checked my vagina and took a swab and said it looks like a yeast infection but It also looks like genital warts. I was shocked! I have had all my hpv shots and i dont know how i would get them my boyfriend of two years doesnt have them. Before i get my period i will sometimes get tiny papercut like cuts on the inside of my vagina lips. My vagina will also get really dry and my wax lady has told me twice that my vaginal skin is really thin.
However, it alleviated the pain, which I thought was a little price to pay for fighting off the kidney infection. On the 7th day I decided I was going to follow up with my family physician to ensure that these works are working because 7 damn days and I was still in pain so perhaps my body was resisting them or something. Honestly, I was freaking out!
My doc also told me that I most likely have an infection and she also put me on antibiotics. But when my urine test came back negative, my doc never called me back to tell not to take it. That's good that I didn't! It clearly says take only if you need it..
