Lyrica cost per day

Common Questions and Answers about Lyrica cost per day

lyrica

1218873 tn?1300091216 If you have no drug coverage Lyrica will cost you about $350.00/mn. That for 3 tabs of 100mg/day ouch! Our FDA (food and drug association) is why. I have gotten my meds through Canada and they are so much cheaper. With the laws in place now here in the good ol' US of A it is being considered a narcotic. So you can't get Lyrica through the mail just like pain meds. The meds I got through Canada funny (well not real funny) most came from England or India.
Avatar f tn I was taking my Oxy on schedule, but cut down my MSC from 3x to 2x per day and my Lyrica to 2 per day to 1 1/2 per day. I will contact my Drs office and leave them a message for Monday. Thank you for the advice.
669241 tn?1236264344 how many times per day are you taking your dose of meds?
2107676 tn?1388973859 Hi Pat. just to let you know, I was prescribed Lyrica too, I know it is expensive but I have coverage, so it only cost me 20.00 but I found it never worked for me, and I have nerve pain ( nerve damage ), so the doctor gave me Gabapentin ( neurontin ) instead, to try,and I find it works much better than Lyrica and the cost is minimal, it cost me 4.00 for LOTS of them , sorry can't remember how many but it was a huge bottle.
Avatar f tn If given a choice without cost factors pros and cons of Gabapentin versus Lyrica for long standing neuopathy pain in my back, legs and feet from surgery over 10 years ago...Any advise appreciated..
Avatar f tn Hi, I started many years ago (about 10) with 300mg of Neurontin 3x a day for PN. I now take 1800mg per day, 300mg with breakfast, 600 in early afternoon of the generic gabapentin, after driving is done for the day (am retired), 300mg. at dinner, 600mg at bedtime. This does not relieve all pain, but makes it possible to function somewhat and sleep at night. Weight loss is really hard, my thinking is slow, too much "foot-time" near bedtime still causes too much pain for sleeping.
Avatar f tn Sorry I don't have Kaiser health insurance, maybe someone else here does, but those prices sound about right. Those are your "co-pay costs", the "actual cost" is thousands of dollars per month as you have heard. I had Blue Cross of California during treatment and my co-pay cost were similar to the prices you quoted.
148588 tn?1465778809 With only 10 to 30 grams of Sovaldi needed for successful treatment, the difference from the $30 production cost for Gilead’s full course of treatment—30 grams x $1.00 per gram—to $84,000 for the 12-week treatment program represents a retail markup of 279,000%.) Weinstein’s letter to state Medicaid directors also reminds them that, “Gilead did not pay to research and develop Sovaldi. In 2011, it purchased Pharmasset, the company that had already developed the drug, for $11 billion in cash.
131817 tn?1209529311 I started Lyrica in Nov. O7'. I felt horrible for a long time. I went slowly. One pill a week, until I reached 150mg. I hurt all that time. After I had that 150mg ( not much) I started feeling better. It took so long.....more than a month. Finally, I did feel better. I did have breakthrough pain, nothing like I had before, but stabbing here and there. I still do! My Rhemy asked me to up my dose. I refused, as I had sides that put me asleep so often...
680499 tn?1233851308 My doctor has started me on a trial of 75mg of Lyrica, three times a day for my suspected "neuromuscular pain". What I want to know, is from those of you who have taken it, has it helped with your pain? Did it make you gain weight? Right now the only thing I have noticed is being terribly drowsy. Please let me know how this medicine has affected you...Thanks!
Avatar f tn Hi, clinical experience would suggest that the combination of low dose amitriptyline (10 - 50 mg at night) plus gabapentin (300 - 1800 mg per day) or pregabalin(lyrica) (50 - 600 mg per day) produces the best pain relief with the lowest incidence of side effects. 210982 tn?1280983895 Hello! My Dr prescribed me Lyrica and I have been readin about this drug, but I can't seem to find anything telling me what is in it. Does anyone know the ingredients? I was told it was a non-narcotic drug but then the leaflet says that it can be addictive and do not stop immediately..blah,blah, blah...does anyone know what is in this stuff?
Avatar f tn I also took Lyrica for approx. 6 mos. My dosage was 75mg. per day. While it did help, I didn't care for the cognitive side-effects so I discontinued it. The dosage will be different depending upon what is being treated and how the drug interacts in your body. For some a small dose is effective; others will work up to the higher amts. over time. I hope it is effective for you and you get some relief soon.
630344 tn?1280104983 This is my first day on Lyrica, and the doctor increased my citalopram! I was wondering if anyone else is on this med and if so did you notice dizziness? I have noticed a decrease in my pain, but a weird like disoriented feeling! I am so tired of pain I can deal with this for awhile, I just was wondering if anyone else has had these symptoms and if so did they go away? So far I am willing to stick anything out as long as I can get some pain relief.
Avatar m tn my addiction was 5 to 6 oxy 80s a day, and morphine 200s. going for day 3 now, and i thank LYRICA for this so far. we are doing great, and a little herb gives me the munchies for food which gives me more strength to go on with my day. someone offered me some percocets, and I felt angry, It's like i'm gone anti pills now. I've lost my home, and my girl, I had to move back with my mother for six months, lucky i still got my job. fk pills.
Avatar f tn I currently take Lyrica. I take 150mg 4 x per day. Since upping my dosage to this amount I have seen a great deal of nerve pain relief. I also have not had a seizure since July of 07. I did have them on a regular basis until we upped my dosage from 75mg 4 x per day to the present amount. I have no side effects from it except for the craving of sweets.
382218 tn?1341181487 What I was wondering was whether there is any difference in effectiveness in taking 1200 mg, 3x per day - VS - 900 mg, 4x per day? 4x per day is tricker given that is every 6 hours and may interfered with sleep, having to wake extra early to take a dose. But I wondered given the short half-life of this med, if taking the same overall daily dose but more frequently would make any difference? Has anyone experimented with this? Any advice on how to proceed?
Avatar f tn The doctor kept increasing my dose to a high level of 150mgs 2 - 3 times a day. The cost was outrageous as over here in Australia, it cost me from $80 - $100 per box, and it was only lasting me less than 2 weeks. It was not helping my pain AT ALL....and the side effects were bad, making me dizzy, nauseated, restless, dry mouth, nightmares, etc. The doctor said most of the symptoms go away after awhile, but they didnt go away for me.
559187 tn?1330782856 You always have great feedback, and thanks again. I think I mentioned in the past that I'm on 200mg per day of Lyrica and am feeling like a swollen blog right now. I am upset with the weight gain but it was expected. I tend to gain weight on drugs that have this as a side effect. Do you recall if you ever gained weight on neurontin? And, did you feel the loopiness (can't think of a better word at the moment - probably cognition trouble :O+))?
Avatar f tn 6 grams per day. I had some left over gabapentin which is a sister drug to lyrica. It has help tremendously. I am now down to 1 150 mg capsule every other day and cud probably quit altogether at this point.
