Lyrica cost treatment

Common Questions and Answers about Lyrica cost treatment

lyrica

1218873 tn?1300091216 If you have no drug coverage Lyrica will cost you about $350.00/mn. That for 3 tabs of 100mg/day ouch! Our FDA (food and drug association) is why. I have gotten my meds through Canada and they are so much cheaper. With the laws in place now here in the good ol' US of A it is being considered a narcotic. So you can't get Lyrica through the mail just like pain meds. The meds I got through Canada funny (well not real funny) most came from England or India.
Avatar f tn I am wondering if anyone has any knowledge of SDT treatment for back pain? What is the cost? How effective is this treatment compared to a chiropractor?
Avatar f tn If given a choice without cost factors pros and cons of Gabapentin versus Lyrica for long standing neuopathy pain in my back, legs and feet from surgery over 10 years ago...Any advise appreciated..
Avatar f tn m meeting w/my GI doctor at the end of May to discuss the new drugs for beginning treatment and was wondering if the doctor will discuss treatment costs with me or do I need to find this kind of information out myself? If I don't have prescription coverage or co-pays will all expenses be out of pocket or will it be applied to my deductible? I don't have the greatest insurance and don't know what the new meds will cost yet. Any and all information is appreciated!
Avatar m tn the speculation is these new meds will be at least double the cost of current treatment. and like everywhere It will remain to be seen what the insurance companies do .
1722607 tn?1335747858 I contacted my insurance company today to ask about the price of the meds for triple treatment. A 3 month supply of interferon, ribavirin, & Victrelis would cost $180.00 (so about $60 a month) I thought it was going to be a lot higher. But I forgot to ask about "rescue drugs". Not sure how that works and how much that would be. Any one have an idea?
210982 tn?1280983895 Hello! My Dr prescribed me Lyrica and I have been readin about this drug, but I can't seem to find anything telling me what is in it. Does anyone know the ingredients? I was told it was a non-narcotic drug but then the leaflet says that it can be addictive and do not stop immediately..blah,blah, blah...does anyone know what is in this stuff?

Avatar f tn I was diagnosed way to many years ago and i'm tired I had my last baby in 86 and have been suffering since 1990. I have been on every drug they can think up and its always the same eventually you get to a point when they stop working and you hit the wall. I was taking Phentermine but they took it off the market it helped with the fatigue. Now I take Dexidrine, allertec and Strattera to get me through the day Rivitril to keep me asleep, I take Narcotics for pain Ocycontin and Lyrica.
131817 tn?1209529311 I started Lyrica in Nov. O7'. I felt horrible for a long time. I went slowly. One pill a week, until I reached 150mg. I hurt all that time. After I had that 150mg ( not much) I started feeling better. It took so long.....more than a month. Finally, I did feel better. I did have breakthrough pain, nothing like I had before, but stabbing here and there. I still do! My Rhemy asked me to up my dose. I refused, as I had sides that put me asleep so often...
Avatar f tn is thousands of dollars per month as you have heard. I had Blue Cross of California during treatment and my co-pay cost were similar to the prices you quoted.
2107676 tn?1388973859 Hi Pat. just to let you know, I was prescribed Lyrica too, I know it is expensive but I have coverage, so it only cost me 20.00 but I found it never worked for me, and I have nerve pain ( nerve damage ), so the doctor gave me Gabapentin ( neurontin ) instead, to try,and I find it works much better than Lyrica and the cost is minimal, it cost me 4.00 for LOTS of them , sorry can't remember how many but it was a huge bottle.
2068442 tn?1331322908 ve found to work is a prescription called Lyrica buy you have to go see an MD of course. Mabe you could find a low cost clinic to get treatment. I hope you get to feeling better!
5079728 tn?1365549989 Can anyone give some insight on what treatment could cost? I realize Insurance is all different. I have a HMO through my work. Just trying to prepare myself. Bills are already coming in from all the testing going on.
Avatar f tn Treatment can cost upwards of U.S. $60,000/year if drugs, doctors, and procedures such as biopsy, U/S scans, etc. are factored in.
Avatar m tn m wondering what the total cost would be, as well as each drug. I will be starting treatment in about 6 weeks, or less, hopefully.
1722607 tn?1335747858 Do most insurance companies cover the cost of treatment? I have Care First Blue Cross. Anyone out there have the same insurance?
680499 tn?1233851308 Toolmaker, I understand about the cost. I picked up a one month supply and it cost me 206 dollars. Ouch! I am hoping that it works with the pain, but praying that I do not gain any weight. I have always been thin and honestly I'm a little scared to put on any extra pounds. Thanks for your input, and I hope you are are doing well!
Avatar f tn Does anyone else out there have severe body aches---I mean the kind where you feel like you have the flu everyday? Why would you take or not take Lyrica? I really prefer to take a natural and holistic approach. I have not been diagnosed with FMS. Been dealing with this for one year in Oct. and still without a diagnosis. Many tests done and all are OK. Still being followed by neuro. Pain is almost unbearable.
Avatar m tn Lyrica is an amazing drug. I tried every/any number of neuro drugs, none worked, or worked long enough. Lyrica does. I have a neuropathy damage in my R foot from a construction accident. Also in my R hand from a "complex fracture" (a cracker) of my radius. Later the plate actually became an issue, and I had it removed. That caused a whole new pile of hand pain... Lyrica keeps them 99.1% under control... yea even w/ insurance it's dam expensive, but wow does it work.
Avatar f tn I went to my PMP the 1st ofJanuary, 2012, to get my MSContin and Oxycodone scripts. He gave me a random UA test for MSContin, Oxycodone (for breakthrough pain), and Lyrica. This is the first drug test from him in 2-3 years. I had been taking less of my MSContin and Lyrica because of being in the"donut-hole" of Med.D script plan and , also trying to resolve co-pay of MSContin-generic back down to tier exception lower cost co-pay.
