Common Questions and Answers about Low blood sugar high pulse rate

blood-sugar

Avatar n tn These are both very common symptoms to have if your blood sugar is high or low. How do you know your blood sugar is up? Do you use a glucose meter?
Avatar m tn While my blood pressure has decreased, my pulse rate is still high. While at work today, I felt my pulse rate increase, and it stayed around 130 for most of the afternoon, while my blood pressure stayed around 130/80. I had no chest pain or anything like that, but did feel sweaty during this time. Now that I am at home, my blood pressure was down to 118/68 and pulse was down to 85. Do you have any ideas what can be causing this and what I can do to prevent it?
Avatar n tn Tachycardia or high pulse rate can be due to low BP, anemia, hyperthyroidism, fever, low blood sugar, anxiety and panic disorder, heart causes like sinus tachycardia and palpitations, alcohol, coffee, effect of certain drugs etc. Though it is very difficult to diagnose a lump without examination, I will try my best to list the possibilities and explain how each lump is diagnosed. In some people the occipital bone at the back of the skull has a protuberance. This is a normal finding.
Avatar f tn And why do i have such a high pulse rate i have had this all my life and now i also have the high blood pressure. They said i was so close to having a heart attack. I did a stress test on the tred mill which showed nothing ut a few spikes but not enough to do the cath. So was wondering if a heart attack is coming or is there something else going on????
Avatar m tn You could have weak adrenal glands, they can cause the low blood pressue but usually not the high heart rate. It could also be thyroid, but, that can cause slow heart and high blood pressure, so, I doubt if it these two problems. Normally, I would say this was a sign of shock, but, you have been having this for so long, I doubt if that is the case with you.
Avatar n tn She has had a 600 cholestrol her whole life[67] with no plaque buildup, low blood presssure , but high pulse rate, and has swelling of the feet. Mayo wanted to pay her for study.
2055110 tn?1330486897 Hello. First, how do you know your BP was above 200/120 while working in a hot environment? Did you measure it? Usually, the blood pressure is lower when the temperature is high, than the opposite, because blood vessels dilate with high temperature. That said, your blood pressure should increase with physical activity, though 200/120 sounds too high (if that was your real blood pressure)..
Avatar n tn Since surgery I am struggling with low blood pressure 110/70 and high pulse rate between 90-100 beats per minute daily. Even when rising in the morning my pulse is at 90 or above. Is there cause for concern or is my body adjusting after surgery?
Avatar n tn I also have high BP and fast pulse rate, but meds are effective for me. 116/64 may seem low to you after seeing much higher BP over the years. My BP generally runs about 105/60 with alpha and beta blockers and the docs feel that is great. I recently became dehydrated after a surgery and my bp dropped to about 85/50, and that got the doctors attention, but once it climbed back above 100/55 the concern dropped. A low heart rate is more troublesome than the blood pressures you report.
Avatar f tn They usually happen once every few months, shortly after I eat, i have checked blood sugar, its not that, blood pressure is perfect but I have a low pulse rate. I need to know if anyone else has experienced this and what they found out. I just dont know if its cardiac or anxiety. help!
Avatar f tn I had a baby 3 months ago and that is when i started experienceing low pulse and high blood pressure. My doctor ran a stress test, heart monitor fo r24 hrs and echo cardiogram. said my heart is fine not to worry, but i have never had a pulse lower than 70 in my life before giving birth.
Avatar m tn t find normal is that my blood pressure is now all the time high (140/90 and more) with a low pulse rate of 50-55. I have no energy, can't exercise, have pins and needles sensations in my left arm, left leg and chest pain as well as jaw pain and strange headache behind my eyes. I meet a Cardiologist and he RX some tests to me. I first had severals EKG in the past year and all of them was normal.
1131131 tn?1275108488 I wonder if it had some part in it since it can cause dizziness, low blood sugar, high blood sugar, etc. I will have to see how my body is after is calms down now. I will see my psychiatrist next week and talk with her about everything. She is the one that prescribes my anxiety meds.
Avatar n tn My bp has now stabilised and is between 98/49 -145/68. My pulse rate however, seems to only flucutate between the high 50s to as low as 43. Is this normal. I am 67 years old and overweight which I don't seem to be able to lose.
Avatar n tn Is it normal for pulse to become low after CABG surgery. My pulse is staying in the 50's most of the time but lately has fallen several time into the 40's. The lowest is 46. I am not athletic but I have lost 47 pounds since surgery.
Avatar f tn Sounds like it could be blood sugar level (not blood pressure). Talk to your doctor. This happens to me when I've not eaten recently or enough. Eating will rectify it. Try keeping crackers in your purse or near you. Anyway do talk to your doctor about this.
Avatar n tn He has recently been going in to grocery store to check his blood pressure and pulse. His blood pressure has been consistently in the 145/80 range with pulse in the 60's. He takes no medication. Three weeks after he was born he was in the ICU with bradycardia and taking breaths with as much as 20 seconds between which led to low oxygen counts. He wore a monitor for the first six months of his life and it alerted when he was ill. (There wre some false alarms but not all were.
1398693 tn?1343684738 A high diastolic and low systolic would give a low pulse pressure and it would seem the faster heart rate is an attempt at getting blood flow running normal. A high diastolic can be caused by stiffening of the arteries, through age, or through coronary artery disease. A layer of plaque would reduce the lumen size and increase pressure even when the artery/heart is relaxed.
