doctor suggest me use head Cap and UV protected sunGlasses and write 3 eye drops and 1 eye gel..( (a) Lotepred eye drop instill 1 drop 4 times a day (b) SOFTVISC EYE DROP (sodium carboxymethylcellulose 1%w/v) instil 1 drop 4 times a day (c) VIGAMOX EYE DROPS INSTILL 1 DROP 4 TIMES A DAY and (d) EYEMIST GEL (hydroxypropyl Methycellulose (hypromellose) ophthalmic gel 0.3%) instill 1 drop 2 times daily on 26 April 2011....

He gave us a prescription of Alrex, which is loteprednol. I am very worried that the doctors are missing something. Is this a normal reaction to an eye infection for a toddler?? What do we do or go from here??? I am worried that this will happen again? I don't want him to have permanant damage??? Help someone!

Similar problem. Seen by neuro-ophthalmologist. Anesthetic drops and dilation drops applied. Effects worsened as the hours increased after dilation. Disabling blurred vision and photosensitivity for six days, along with dull ache in R eye, feeling of fullness/pressure in R eye, which continues, somewhat abated on day 8. Had revisit today. L eye refraction significantly down. I was advised to use artificial tears. No anomalies other than both cataracts, (which are mild), seen on re-exam.

My family practice doctor said to use sulfcetamol eye drops for a few days. I used them for a week as it said on the package but only twice a day. This usually clears up my eye problems as I have blepheritis. It didn't do anything. i m having numullar keratitis problem after adenoviral conjuctivitis ( 2010 yr) , its 3rd time keratitis re occured , doc give me loteprednol for 1 month and it spress down but reoccured again after 1 and half yr , is there any possibility to get rid permanently from this problem or any precautions ?

I have been trying different eye drops for my dry eyes and the irritation. I am on prescription antibiotics as well but for inbetween. I have tried systane,thera tears,natural tears and my doc gave me optive which has perservatives and the others don't but tried them now. Does anyone find one brand better then others and is there issues with using the preservative ones? He said it was fine to use 4 times a day.

I have been using over the counter eye drops (namely, Opcon A) daily for a few years in order to combat my red eyes. With constant use, I have noticed that they do not work nearly as well anymore, and that my eyes are redder than ever. I read into the subject and have learned that with prolonged use, your eye becomes more dependent on the drops and does in fact become redder. Just regular saline eye drops like a visine are fine. I'd just stay away from anything medicated until you talk to your Dr.

i may have taken ofloxacin and prednisolone eye drops in my eye 5 times in a day instead of the 4 times like i was supposed to do.will it cause any harm?

Hi, i recently used fml for a week and stopped due to extreme eye dryness. I alredy have punctual plugs and my doc wanted to reduce some inflamation. I went to my doctor and he said that the dryness will gradually get better over the next 2 weeks. Its been a month and my dryness is still much worse then it was after i had plugs inserted and before using fml. Is it at all possible for the dryness to be perminent?

Please note that I had briefly experimented with the carnosine drops alone, but find that they work much better if you also use MSM drops. MSM serves to make the eye structures more elastic and permeable.

i suffer from vernal keratoconjunctivitis in my right eye. This year, i have been given steroid eye drops a couple of times. Previously, no doctors give me that. In the past 12 months, i been given this eye drops, optodexine, twice. Both for one month. Next, i have also been given, Minims dexamethasone 0.1% single dose drops, the first time was for 1 week.
