Lotemax long term use

Common Questions and Answers about Lotemax long term use

lotemax

Avatar n tn Might also want to rule out thyroid disease. Lotemax is probably not something you want to be on long term since it is a moderately strong steroid. I suggest looking in to taking a daily multivitamin, adding a good amount of fish oil and flaxseed oil supplent, avoid lots of wind, dust, sunlight, ceiling fans, and dry hot air. Look into allergy drops like Pataday, frequent use of preservative free artificial tears, and possibly punctal plugs and restasis drops long term.
Avatar n tn ve resigned myself to using tobradex w/my opth monitoring IOP levels, and I also use the other treatments. My opth seems okay with tobradex long term, but I wish had the peace of mind of knowing that I had a permanent treatment.
Avatar f tn I sought a second opinion, and was told they could not find any foreign object, but my eye was in distress and dry, so i was told to contunue lotemax, and use gel drops. Weeks go by and still no relief, i still have pain(pinching/peircing sensation above eye, and general all over eye discomfort). I stop taking lotemax on suggestion of EMT neighbor. Eye calms down and now just have piercing/pinching pain only. I go see another Dr. He listens to story, looks at eye, puts me on Prednisone.
Avatar n tn You are healing slower than many people The surgeon may want you to continue PF at a reduced rate such as one every 3rd day or switch to a lower dose steroid that is safer for long term use such as Lotemax. Just to whiten you eye without treating the dryness or inflammation try Lumify. Its new over the counter and whitens without creating rebound redness like Visine does.
Avatar m tn I am truly upset with the outcome and am hoping for ome advice in your experience whether pressures of 58 and my continued use of a steriod Lotemax is causing continued damage to my eyes which before the irrodotomies were perfectly healthy. I might add the procedure itself has only caused me white horizontal lines in my vision and slightly less focus but I understood from forums online this may be the case although the doctors performing told me of none of these side affects.
Avatar m tn Is zylet cortiosteriod/antibiotic a good alternative to Lotemax + asasite. Asasite burns a lot and is very uncomfortable twice a day to use.
Avatar n tn i also experience itching and irritation in both eyes from time to time. SHOULD I START LOTEMAX? will it be effective?
Avatar f tn They certainly hear all the negative media coverage damning the prescription and use of long term opiates. If we influence or change one person's negative attitude towards chronic pain and its management than we are fighting the war against us! Yes the War against Us, Against Chronic Pain Patients. You should not be shamed or harassed into this position, "stop the mess and live in constant pain." Taking your husband to your next appt along with educating him may be beneficial.
Avatar m tn The only reason that I ask is that I've heard on of the long-term side effects on dxm use is being a bit lathargic. I'm that way now and the VA did an MRI of my brain and found that my adrenal glad had begun to shrink so, it wasn't producing enough of the thyroid hormone.....I can already tell I'm got some defects from the long term use in my cognitive abilities. I'm down to 18 pills day. 1 pill every two days. The morning w/draws have pretty much stopped.
Avatar n tn Is there any info about long term plavix use. I have been taking Plavix along with Lisinopril and Toprol for the past two years after quad bypass but I don't feel very good about it anymore. Any info as in is this medicine weakening my internal organs.
Avatar f tn I have recently been feeling full of regret, very emotional and tearful, I have been informed this amy be due to the long term use of Naltrexone, and lack of natural endorphins , so i have been advised by my CDT Nurse to start thinking about coming off of them, is this right? Other wise, my life is so good compared to what it was, I am happy, but just feel like the past keeps wanting me to remember how bad things were... could my 'miracle' now be becoming my tormenter?
Avatar m tn Dear whoever may know, I was diagnosed with anxiety and panic disorder 2 1/2 years ago, and I have been taking Lexapro at 10 mg per day ever since. The medicine has really seemed to have helped my life in all aspects. Whether it has really helped or if this is some kind of placebo effect, I am unsure. I still have moments of reasonable stress at work, but who doesn't...most importantly, I don't have panic attacks anymore.
