Loestrin 20 tablets contain two active ingredients, ethinylestradiol and norethisterone. But it is not without side effects which include nausea, vomiting, breast tenderness, enlargement, changes in menstrual bleeding, breakthrough bleeding, rise in blood pressure, gall stones and increased chances of blood clots.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
The gyne was stumped as to which BC pill would be best, as Yasmin is for the PMDD, but causes the side effects for her. Other pills have a different chemical make-up, but more estrogen can cause more mood swings. Does anyone else take Lexapro and Lamictal in addition to a BC pill to suppress periods? Thank you!
So my doc put me on Lo Loestrin Fe ....anyone else ever take this? Or have bad side effects?
I a little nervous cuz I've never takin birth control b4. I don't want to not be able to loose the rest of this weight. Plus I feel our family is complete now with 3 girls and our boy but dont feel comfortable doing anything permanent.
I have taken ortho-tricyclen lo for about a year now and am miserable. Depression, mood swings, food craving, weight gain, bloating, and lack of lubrication. My doctor is switching my pills to one with a higher hormone level. She says I am feeling bad because my pills are not strong enough. I start the new ones Sunday and am hoping for the best. Two things that will definitely help are more protein in your diet and exercise.

I've been on loestrin 30 for over a year, and I started taking the pill to control mood swings and to get lighter periods. For several months my periods have been really light and only lasted 2-3 days, and this month I finished taking my pills on Friday 19th, and 4 days later I still haven't got my period. I have been having unprotected sex with my boyfriend for a few months, but I always took the pills at the right time, and very rarely missed one anymore.
Yep, welcome to Tamoxifen. Those are all glorious side effects.
Suggestion...try changing when you take Tamoxifen (try a couple weeks in the morning, couple weeks in the evening...couple weeks midday), take it with food...and also make sure you drink plenty of water in the day.
I take mine usually midday now and the hot flashes have calmed down along with the mood swings.
i don't know about the dreams, but mood swings and lack of concentration are most definitely side effects.
t had my period since the week before i started the pill. i have a lot of mood swings, food cravings, and sometimes a little bit of cramps. the first month i had spotting for a few days. the second month is was a brownish color not even for a whole day. is there any way i could be pregnant or is this normal?
Having terrible mood swings the last couple of days, assuming the Clomid? 2nd round CD 11. Anyone have issues with this?
I took Clomid in the past but cannot remember. Hopefully this means things are working. I have the fear that this time no follies, had 2 last time with no success. Get checked in 2 days for this.
I began Effexor and found it helped the depression but not the flashes. Now a year later, I have started having severe ups and downs and mood swings and the sweating still there among other things.
I have been taking the B1 and E suggested. can not find the periden c. no help

but until now i feel pain in my ovaries, flushing, chest pain, hot and cold at the same time, back pain, i feel fire inside me, some times numbness in my head and hands, as if my body is too heavy,,,i started having panic attacks, and mood swings...am not sure if it is related to merina, or related to hoermonal changes...am suffering so much ever since. i did all possible check ups, they were all great..
ive been on yaz for almost 3 years and in the last year i have been sick every month for five months right before my period with gastroenteritis which is vomiting for 2 hours with diarrhea and being very dizzy . i also have very bad mood swings anger irritation very easily, cry for no reason and more, not really sure what to do because my doctor hasnt really suggested i go of of it?
To be honest if you can find a BCP to help stop your periods I would go that route because you are in world full of trouble with symptoms from Lupron that you regret taking it and some people have had permanent side effects . Not trying to scare you but trying to let you know you need to educate yourself on these meds esp Lupron. Lupron will put you into menopause and an example of how that felt I can tell you.
I felt depressed, with Hot flashes, joint and muscle pain, nausea, and insomnia.
