I've been on loestrin 30 for over a year, and I started taking the pill to control mood swings and to get lighter periods. For several months my periods have been really light and only lasted 2-3 days, and this month I finished taking my pills on Friday 19th, and 4 days later I still haven't got my period. I have been having unprotected sex with my boyfriend for a few months, but I always took the pills at the right time, and very rarely missed one anymore.
t had my period since the week before i started the pill. i have a lot of mood swings, food cravings, and sometimes a little bit of cramps. the first month i had spotting for a few days. the second month is was a brownish color not even for a whole day. is there any way i could be pregnant or is this normal?
The first month was pretty bad with immediate mood swings, fatigue and swollen breasts. The bleeding kept going through the whole month and stopped when my period was due! I have completed the second pack two days ago: I've had no bleeding expect a light period when it was due and the other symptoms have all improved. I have also.noticed that my sexual drive is well alive - not so much when I was taking Yasmine. Will keep you updated.
I have taken ortho-tricyclen lo for about a year now and am miserable. Depression, mood swings, food craving, weight gain, bloating, and lack of lubrication. My doctor is switching my pills to one with a higher hormone level. She says I am feeling bad because my pills are not strong enough. I start the new ones Sunday and am hoping for the best. Two things that will definitely help are more protein in your diet and exercise.
I took Loestrin for a very short time, before I began to have very bad mood :swings. I didn't feel like myself at all, it got so bad my parents wanted me to see a psychiatrist.
Hi there. I have recently started taking Lo loestrin Fe for my birth control for almost 2 months now and have been having almost continuous bleeding. That was the only problem until about two weeks ago. Now I'm having serious bloating, headaches, fatigue, cramping, mood swings, and crazy heartburn even when I don't eat anything. This was the exact string of symptoms when I found out I was pregnant with my son. I took a test but it came out negative.
I am increasingly suffering from horrible, raging mood swings that leave me exhausted. Fits of uncontrollable anger over the smallest things, uncontrollable crying at random times, serious anxiety, paranoia and dread. Naturally, this is having an effect also on my relationship as I have become really insecure and it is starting to take a toll. My sex drive is also at 0 - no desire to have sex with my boyfriend in the slightest.
did you start having symptoms of anxiety and depression while you were still on the Loestrin, or only after you went off?
Most definitely hormone replacement therapy of any kind (or hormonal imbalances, like those related to the thyroid) can cause anxiety. If indeed you felt anxiety after starting on the BC pill, it should have resolved after you came off of it.
I am a 23 years old woman and I have been struggling with mood changes what seems forever. I've never felt "normal", whatever this means. I have never reacted to some sorts of situations the same way other people do. Since I can remember everything starts pretty much like this: I am full of energy, felling extremely well about myself and I usually get a load of things to be done that is above heavy.
You are most def not alone! I sat at my desk at work and cried ALL day yesterday. I'm only 5 weeks and I hope that it gets better b/c I'm going through a lot of tissue. I just joined this site yesterday and I have found the the women on here are so supportive and full of good advice which has helped me a lot in the past 24hrs. Whenever I feel like I'm about to cry or get upset, I just log on and reach out to someone who knows what I'm going through (another pregnant woman).
Haha omg. We talk about everything from the beginning about being pregnant. And all week he just, drives me up the wall! And I'm really sarcastic and mean, it just flows out.. then two seconds later I'm like "oh my god baby I'm really sorry I didn't mean it I love you" hahaha! He understands but I feel bad... hoorrmoonnesss.
I am six weeks and i am crying and sad over small stuff. Been trying to potty train my two yr old with not much luck. I think that might be part of it. Is this normal to have so early and what can i do to help work through it?? Also will this mean that i will have postpartum after the baby comes? I was fine last time during and after.
But my fiance has been very understanding and just brings up stuff about our baby and my mood goes from a ad and mad to excited and happy. So now I just think about my little baby boy and how I can't wait to hold him and hear his first words and everything whenever I'm getting moody. You could try that. I hope that helps a little.
Lately I have been getting mood swings which result mostly in fights or money... my boyfriend says I've lost my personality and I'm not the same person I was before... any stories from mom on how there man feels about this same or different?? And any suggestions on how to make him understand my bodies changing and not me??
