loestrin generic brand

I have been taking Loestrin (generic) for about a year. My doctor gave me the brand as a sample to save some money. I am in week three of the first pack. My period started yesterday. What can cause this early bleeding?

I actually was on this birth control for the very first time as well before I switched to the generic brand of Lo Lestein Fe. I had the bleeding here and there, but I was still experiencing the cramps which was the main reason I went on birth control in the first place. Maybe when you go to the doctor you should mention switching to the generic kind of this birth control. I hope this helps & good luck to you!

My doctor just prescribed me Microgestin 1.5/30, which is generic for Loestrin 1.5/30. I'm a little concerned because I think the lower-dose is 1/20. Hopefully it works out and doesn't cause me too many issues. :/ We'll see..

I recently started taking Loestrin 24. I started experiencing light bleeding during sex which lasts for a day or 2 then stops, but then occurs again the next time. It only happens during/after sex. I've never had this happen before. There was nothing abnormal when I had my check up and was given the prescription. Has anyone ever heard of this happening with this brand?

I liked it better then Loestrin, since while on Loestrin I had breakthrough bleeding every single day. (So annoying.) But even with Femcon, I had breakthrough during the third week, but I was reading that a lot of women get breakthrough bleeding during the first couple of months.

So like I said, this is aparently normal when on Loestrin. Im going to go on the generic of Loestrin, Junel Fe, which worked for me in the past and I think its 21 days of the pill and than 7 days of the "period" part. As much as I dread my period, it's a reassuring thing.

I am now on Microgestin 1/20 Fe generic version of Loestrin. Anyway what does anyone know about this? Any major side effects I should be worried about...I was reading that it causes bigger breast, weight gain, and low sex drive...is that true for anyone else who has taken it?

----I stabilized completely last summer and I was on the brand name version of the medication. When I switched over to the generic, I started having problems and had to increased the dose from 900mgs to 1600mgs over the space of a few months. Any changes in the dosages over this time dropped me into a deep depression and I HAD to drop the dosage many times because it was agitating me. I just assumed it was because I was adjusting to the medication.

I've been lo loestrin fe for the past 19 months and everything is going well until.......last pack(i forgot 1 day but did take 2 the next day) and spotting for 12 days but it did stop on the placebo week. Thought everything is back to normal so I continued the current pack, however i'm having spotting again (so basically only back to normal for 2 weeks). i'm not sure what happens. this time, i've been taking pill the same time, no mistake....

Actually, both of those are generics for the brand names Loestrin and Microgestin. Generics all have their own names but from a chemical standpoint, the active ingredients are identical to the name brand. Where Junel and Blisovi differ is just in the inactive ingredients.

I was taking to Loestrin Fe for a while. I took it in the morning with water. I seemed to have a little bit of heartburn, but after I ate something it got better. I also was diagnosed with Endo. I had some problems with spotting for a while with Loestrin Fe so my Dr. switched me to a different pill. It's a generic version with more hormones.

i am currently taking 1mg xanax 3 times a day i go to walgreens and they have the generic brand purepac and i have heard that greenstone brand is so much better i was just wondering if anyone had any feed back .......

Your pharmacist will tell you which generic brand your taking. As far as I know only malikroft is allowed to make the generic form of oxycontin. When you get a generic your RX bottle will list the name brand and the generic name under it.

I have insurance and the copay on my generic script is usually about $2-4 for the whole month and the brand name was over $200 WITH insurance. Does anyone know of an insurance plan that covers these brand drugs to an affordable rate or any way to get a lower price on the brand name?

ve been taking the generic for about a week until my new prescription for the brand name arrives. I have had diarrhea for two days. The only thing I've done differently is take the generic drug. Do you think this would be causing the diarrhea? If so should I just not take the medication until the correct prescription arrives?

Protecting the brand has advantages over generic regarding consistency of levels. the generic is levothyroxine". Huh? What on earth does that answer mean? "Protecting"? "consistency of levels?" t know whether to take the generic or name brand. Ive been taken the generic(clomiphene citrate) for the past two cycles with no luck.. Dr said he would rather me be on the brand name. Is anyone out there taking Teva's version of Nexium? I'm to the point now where I can't get the brand. I was astonished to see that this generic version's co-pay through my insurance is so high! $80 for 90 days. I could understand this price for the brand, but for generic? I just wanted to post my experience over the last couple of weeks with generic and brand (synthroid) medicines. Alot of you posted to me early on about trying a different brand and you were right! I started out on 50mcg generic levo. My doctor wrote levothyroxine and didn't specify a brand on the rx.

The gel I believe is the name brand and I know some do prefer this one and the other generic some prefer for its even release of medication. The gel or brand name is more powerful I believe but the generic has staying power. Someone will be along shortly and correct me if I am wrong as there are several people here that do use the patch and know the exact differences between the two.
