It's unlikely since it's been four periods. By now, a test should pick it up. You should definitely discuss with your doctor as you shouldn't be missing periods unless you're taking the pill continuously without a placebo week.
I've personally never heard of breakthrough bleeding meaning that you aren't protected... You are probably thinking that because sometimes breakthrough bleeding is caused by missing pills or not taking them on time. I used to have really bad breakthrough bleeding issues before my laparoscopy to remove endometriosis, and it would happen with every pill, but I remember I had a lot of it when I was on loestrin for some reason.
I've been on Loestrin 24 fe for about a year now. I take it regularly and consistently, but vomited a few hours after taking one pill of this month's pack. I'm on the second day of the placebo pills now, and I did not have a period last month at all. My boyfriend and I have been having sex, without using condoms, for 5 months and everything has been fine, but I'd like some reassurance. Could missing that one pill in the first week of pills cause me to be pregnant?
I have been on Lo Loestrin Fe birth control from about 4 months now. The first month I got my period on schedule and experienced no side effects. The second month I had breakthrough bleeding for about 2 weeks in the middle of the month, but no period on the placebo pills. The second month I had light brown spotting the 2nd week but again no period. Should I be concerned?
I started Lo Loestrin Fe oral birth control pill on January 14, 2014 after being off of it since Thanksgiving of 2013. Previously I had constant break-though bleeding (more like a period- for even 2 and a half weeks) and cramps. I switched to Microgestin and that made me so sick I stopped, and then restarted Lo Loestrin Fe.
I have taken it everyday and have never missed a pill.
I switched from Loestrin to Ortho because I started not having periods AT ALL on the Loestrin and I had CRAZY PREGNANCY SYMPTOMS. I got a blood test but it was negative. Now I am on Ortho and am a little nervous because I've heard and read that some people have gotten pregnant on this pill. Any advice????
I was on Lo Loestrin Fe for 10 months, and had to stop for 6 weeks because I had surgery and was required to take blood thinners. I got back on my birth control, and ended up not having a period at all. Usually I have light bleeding for 2 days on my pills, and I'm concerned I could be pregnant. My partner and I used condoms while I was off the pill, but I know accidents happen.
Okay, so to start with I started take Loestrin June 1 and stopped taking it July 12 because it was messing me up emotionally and it had me spotting for 10 days straight mid cycle. Went to my ob and she put me on another one which has seemed to be working fine. Thing is i went to that appointment July 22 and i was told to start the new bc when i started my period. Waited 2 weeks for it to show and never did so Aug 15 i started the new bc. Didn't think much of missing that period at the time.
ve had 2 periods (only lasting a day or so) and a few days of very light spotting. I do know this pill is the lowest dose of hormones you can have with a birth control pill. Is this normal? I am also getting married soon and I want to make sure ill be able to get pregnant and being on the pill for this long won't hirt my chances once I get off. Thanks!
I'm 23 and on birth control (Loestrin 24). Normally my periods are somewhat regular, but really light and short. Last month I didn't have one, but I did have some slight spotting before my period was supposed to come. This month my period also skipped.
I have no other symptoms of PCOS except some acne on my chin (but occasional breakouts are not uncommon for me, I have oily skin, plus an expired skin product and eating wheat with my allergy may have caused this).
Hello. I am 18 years old and have very regular periods. In November, my period never showed and I was suddenly getting night sweats. But then it came in December (it was a month late), and the night sweats stopped. This totally freaked me out so I went to the doctors and had tests done (pap smear, blood, urine, and I also had an ultrasound). All the tests came back normal and nothing seemed to be wrong. My period came again in January and all the months up until May, which I skipped again.
Hey hi. My bf and I had sex (Withdrawal method) in august. But i got periods in the next two consequent months i.e in august and september. But from november and december i still dint get periods. Consulted Gyno and got a scanning for my abdomen but she dint turn up by saying anything about pregnancy and i even took a home pregnancy test and it was negative. The change in this two months is that i took a tablets of my asthma overdose.I am bit worried about all this.
I'm also in the same situation, and I also took a pill on the 14th. I'm 22 days late. And I was already 8 days late when I took the pill.
AND I've taken a pill before and it never made my cycle wacky.
But I took a hpt a week or two ago and it was negative.
the last time i had an period was September23, But i Haven't Had one in October, and Now it's November 4.

So I've been taking Lo loestrin fe for 3 weeks. A week before taking it, I had my period. After taking it, I got it again. I understand that it's normal to get it after first starting. My problem is that it's now been 2 weeks that I've been on my period. Is this still normal?
