225036 tn?1294509400 So now I am going to go to Lafayette Indiana where my urologist is and see a gyn there. Hopefully we can get the ball rolling before Keith has to go back to work. It will be done by doing a laperotomy (sp) and I will be in the hospital for at least 5 days. I'll let you know more info when I find out more. Also, my grandma had to go have a colonoscopy done today and they removed 15 pollops and one was too big to remove. That one was very suspicious for colon cancer.
Avatar n tn m off to get a second opinion, but would like to get it from a doctor who could consider alternatives other than simple aspiration or neglect. If anyone knows of a physician in the Lafayette, Louisiana area (including Alexandria and Baton Rouge), I'd really like to have that information. My primary care physician and my insurance provider have both come up empty.
Avatar n tn Exciting! East bay baby, we are in lafayette. Have you joined any first time mom groups??
Avatar f tn I just wanted to say hello. My name is Kelly and I live in Lafayette, Louisiana. I am 37 years old and just found out I am pregnant. I don't have an official due date yet, my first OB appointment is March 24th. I am thinking sometime in November. I am glad to see so many mommies to be over 35 out there! I am scared because of my age, but it's in God's hands and i pray for a healthy pregnancy and baby! Oh, and I have one little girl who just turned 3 last month!
Avatar f tn Hey everyone I live in Lafayette Louisiana and am desperately looking 4 a doctor who will prescribe subutex most doctors will only prescribe suboxone please help please
Avatar n tn I started thinking back, since menopause, I started on several meds, on of which was lipitor. Not one doctor said it could be the lipitor i was taking causing the hives. On my own a week ago, I stopped the lipitor and the lipitor only. For the first time in 5 yrs i have no more hives. Why is there not more articles published or side effects like mine posted for lipitor??? What is your feeling on the hives from Lipitor??
Avatar m tn //www****.com/ds/lipitor/hair%20growth%20abnormal/ My question is, has anyone else taking Lipitor experience this? How do you stop this 'hair growth' ? Is there an alternative to Lipitor? Thank you!
10996785 tn?1432812977 The doctor then asked about my lipitor. She told me that lipitor has a bad side effect that can permanently damage muscles in your body, that can lead to kidney failure. I'm not saying Lipitor is bad. It does have this side effect that can effect a small amount of people. However, I without a doubt, feel as if this is my problem. Lipitor and Trazodone have combined to almost stop me in my tracks. I realize that some people may not like the talking about lipitor in this way.
Avatar f tn My husband was recently taken off of Lipitor and has been experiencing daily headaches. He's not a headache person. Is this a common thing when coming off Lipitor? Also, I have read that you should stop it gradually. Is this true?
Avatar n tn However, through exercise he developed calaterals around his 100% block LAD artery. He has been on Lipitor since initial MI and had the dose increaed since last angiocather test 3 years ago. He is 67 and has increasing fatigue, weight loss and muscle tone decline. He is able to work (farmer) but is increasinly fatigued. I want him to stop the Lipitor. Am I correct? This discussion is related to <a href='http://www.medhelp.
678451 tn?1226425977 I have just started on Lipitor for what has been determined to be a genetic predisposition to High Cholesterol level. The physician wishes that I be maintained on 10 mgs. daily. However the Rx. was written for 40 mgs, to take one half tablet every second day(since the cost of procuring the 40 mg tablet is significantly lower). Will taking 20 mgs every second day give me the same benefit of 10 mgs daily. Or, is it best to take the medication daily as oppose to every second day.
10996785 tn?1432812977 Hey guys. I post in different communities here. I know that it's known that lipitor has the side-effect of muscle tiredness and aches. Has anyone else have to deal with this? Man it's off the hook. I almost am paralyzed fro, lipitor. This horrible and I would like to talk to someone who's been through it. This is a very under-rated affliction IMO. I've been tested and it doesn't look like I have the Rabadolosis<sp? That spelling isn't even close.
Avatar f tn He has just started a new job, so cannot go cold turkey. The only doctors in Lafayette, LA who prescribe Suboxone are specialists, and he does not have health insurance, nor the money it would cost for that sort of treatment. Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Avatar m tn John, I can't emphasize enough that surgery be your absolute last resort. I had a 4 Level Laminectomy 7/07/04 and from the 7th day after surgery lying in the back seat of a neigbors car going to see the surgeon. The pain from that day was 3 times prior to surgery when I was taking Percoset 10/325 (4) times a day. Today the pain has completely encompassed my whole lower body waist down Lumbar, Hips, Buttox, Legs and yes Abdomen.

Avatar m tn John, It seems that your body is telling you that it can not handle the abuse anymore. You did not specify what kind of pain you are having, but if it is difficult for you to breath, it may be your chest. Cocaine causes constriction of all blood vessels including those in your heart and lungs. That leads to diminished blood supply to your heart muscle as the drug also causes it to beat faster and harder causing possible ischemia.
Avatar f tn I have been having progressively extreme leg/arm numbness, lack of circulation, almost impossible to lie down, legs burn and go to sleep. Difficulty with joints (and pain), muscles "lock up" with the slightest movement. Dizziness and weakness upon walking. Had diabetes test, MRI of lower back, blood tests, heart tests, neurology test of legs. Results a little high on diabetes and neuropathy, but not extraordinary enough to diagnose as a problem.
Avatar n tn People taking lipitor are recommended to avoid alcohol in their diet because it raises the triglyceride levels, another lipid which is a risk factor for heart disease. Going to soft drinks would be far more beneficial for your body obviously but if this is impossible I would switch your lipitor to the mornings. Lipitor, unlike some statin drugs, can be taken any time of the day.
