Avatar m tn I have really gross hives all over my body, but I'm trying to figure out why. I go to this weird Korean skin care place for my bacne. A few months ago, they injected triamcinolone+lidocaine into a few specific acne spots. I started itching like crazy, breathing was difficult, and they let me go home after injecting me with an antihistamine (I imagine). Rash went away after my 3 hour nap.
Avatar f tn in july i had to have a deep clean, i told the dentist i was 7 weeks pregnant and she gave me lidocaine with adrenaline....it didn't work..i felt every thing and ran out the dentist in tears...just over a week later i miscarried my baby...at first i didn't think of the anaesthetic i was given..it wasn't until about a month later after i had grieved that i researched it and i found out that lidocaine can cause organ failure in the foetus in early pregnancy!!
Avatar m tn I read that lidocaine can cause a seizure. I have had injections many times with no problem. What could have gone wrong? This discussion is related to Lidocaine induced seizure during dental procedure.
383138 tn?1314167773 I read later, it is common for women to have rt chest pain with a heart attack. Then, the well documented irregular heart beat with lidocaine. Now, I am certain that is what happened. It has scared me so badly (even though the pain relief was great). By the way, there was no mention of possible fatal side effects before hand. The pain relief will not help at all, if I am dead. So, if your cardiologist says NO.. That would definitely be my answer. NO.
458072 tn?1291415186 I think you are speaking of anxiety...(?) Some people with low thyroid have it, and other's get panic attacks. They are symptoms of hypothyroidism, and should go away when the thyroid problem is corrected.
Avatar f tn I am wondering if anyone knows about testing adrenaline levels in POTS/dysautonomia. My insomnia is so bad and I have tried many meds. I am so fatigued then hyper at other times and I saw something about testing adrenaline levels. I was at Cleveland Clinic a year and a half ago and I don't know if they did this or not. Has anyone been tested for adrenaline issues and what was recommended?
Avatar n tn are you saying that an effect of hyperdecrition of adrenaline is the inablilty to deal with stress? if so than what would an effect of hyposecretion of adrenaline be?
Avatar f tn ve had quite a few stellate ganglion blocks and have had some success. They thought the lidocaine infusion might help the other pain I deal with and kill two (or more) birds at the same time so to speak. KittKat23-78, Sorry the infusion didn't help you!! I hadn't heard about having several a few days apart; I'll have to ask about it. Mine is (at least one) being paid for by worker's comp. I'm hopeful but also trying to keep things realistic and in perspective.

Avatar f tn How long does adrenaline last in the system? I had stridor 7 hours ago and rushed to hospital as I cannot have salbutamol. I had adrenaline IM and also nebulised. 7 Hours later my heart rate is still sitting at 120 at rest and I have tingling in my fingers and hands, waves on pain in my left chest (that I had at hospital nothing showed on ecg), and short of breath. Should I be worried????

Avatar n tn Re: Lidocaine Enemas. I am warning everyone to be careful. My brother just died 3/31/12 from a lidocaine enema. He was only 28. (Lidocaine Intoxication) Lidocaine in liquid form. I don't want anyone elses loved ones to die like this. I hope everyone will be careful when dealing w/lidocaine. it is a dangerous substance when not used properly.
1182699 tn?1297574784 adrenaline) that is closely associated with these events. When I get the panic under control, I no longer experience the flash.
Avatar f tn There are no contraindications for using lidocaine for the purpose described. The only danger is that lidocaine completely anesthetizes tissue, which is why you can cut or suture an area treated by lidocaine. Thus it is possible to cause a tear or injury that would not be noticed until the lidocaine wore off. In the case of normal intercourse, this should not be a problem.
Avatar m tn signal which you get when in a scarey situation. This body gets flooded with adrenaline for you to fight, but there is no fight, so no need for the adrenaline rush. Since it has nothing to work on, it results in a panic attack. So you are getting a perfectly normal reaction at the wrong time. You can try talking yourself down by saying you know what is happening and it's normal, you are fine etc. Exercising is best, it gives this adrenaline something to work on.
673999 tn?1226935279 The new standard inoffice bladder instillation for IC is Lidocaine instillation with bicarbonate solution. The lidocaine is a local anesthetic and the bicarbonate allows the lidocaine to penetrate the bladder wall to get to the bladder nerves. Lidocaine without the bicarbonate solution has only minimal bladder wall penetration and very short duration of action (minutes to an hour).
Avatar f tn More info if you have any would be great! Dont they cut cocaine with like benzocaine, or lidocaine, or something like that? If anyone knows? Yea, stop the coke though, every bit of Coke that makes it to your heart tissue, it kills it instantly!
Avatar n tn I too was diagnosed with Sluders by having a lidocaine-soaked pledget applied between the contact point. I have a deviated septum with a spur, and the spur is in constant contact with the turbinate (and nerve bundle) on the opposite side. So I am in pain almost all of the time. I am making my appt. for surgery this week and am hoping that this cures my horrendous facial pain. This is no way to live.
14051 tn?1238251732 So, with that said, This morning, I had the same effects with the steroid/Lidocaine injection in my right hip/Trochanter as I did prior to the hardware removal. I immediately felt a sharp pain in the right side of my back when the doctor realeased the first part of the medicine, then I could feel fast relief in my right foot, leg, hip, groin, back. My doctor has no answers as to why it relieved the other pains. This again lasted only for 45 minutes.
Avatar m tn I got prescribed Norco, lidocaine patches, and diclofenac 75 mg. Yesterday I took Norco and I put a lidocaine patch and I woke up with weird heart sensation, like slow heart rate or something. Could it be caused by lidocaine patch? I also take the following medication: Atorvastatin Calcium 80 Mg- 1 tab in the evening Carvedilol 6.
Avatar m tn Also, the lidocaine was with nystatin as a swish and swallow to treat oral thrush after several courses of antibiotics. Not sure if that matters or not.
306455 tn?1288862071 lotsatrout...good idea...you ought to get a patent....lidocaine suit...i like that!!! ...My educated guess says it is not addictive!!!...and we know where my educated guesses have gotten me before!!!
Avatar n tn My first ultra sound FNA was a done by a Radiologist. I felt the 1st stick of lidocaine. I didn't feel the other needle sticks, but felt lots of pressure. The Radiologist seemed to have lots of problems getting the needle into the nodule even though it was ultra sound guided. He poked around in me for about 25 minutes before getting a sample. I was scared to death and could feel the needle inside my throat every time I swallowed. Two days later, I was told the sample was not adequate.
