Avatar m tn They used Buffered Lidocaine injection which I did not feel any of.. I must admit, I did put over the counter Lidocaine cream all over my breast about an hour before the procedure. I used this Lidocaine cream on my arm before a tetanus shot that I had to get and was so afraid of and I was screaming for the nurse to WAIT but.. IT WAS ALREADY DONE! Helps a lot so you don't feel pain. Nurse also gave me tips for next time I get an injection.
1415174 tn?1453243103 Lidoderm Patches (Rx Only or doctor sample) work better for me and 5% Lidocaine Cream (you can find online) is awesome! Hope this helps.
Avatar n tn As long as it's not an Nsaid, and more like IcyHot or something, then yes it's completely safe. I also use something called a "lidoderm" patch which has lidocaine in it but doesn't really go into your bloodstream. it's used for arthritis and localized pain and helps my back sometimes when my pain level isn't too high.
Avatar n tn well I was diagnosed with ezcema last year and I currently take some pills and antibiotic cream and I have really only had it on my legs but things are much better than they used to be
Avatar m tn Xylocain /lidocaine are anesthetic cream. Longer use can create numbness. If you have applied more cream, it affects vagina as wee, numbing vagina and reducing the pleasure of sex activity. Numbness is not permanant. It is reversible. Stop using xyocaine. You will recover in due course of time. To help you to hasten the recovery, you may do Male deer exercise. Google the word. Learn it and do the exercise regularly. You may recover within a month's time.Spell check not done.
Avatar m tn My doctor prescribed 3% lidocaine/0.5% hydrocortisone cream (which took two days to get). I was also using the hemorrhoid cream. In addition, I was using about 4-5 baby wipes to clean the area each time so that there was not one speck of anythiong left to irritate the hemorrhoids. Interestingly enough, about 6 days after that pain started, it began to decrease and after a couple more days, it was almost gone. I still had the external hemorrhoids but the hemorrhoid cream took care of them.
Avatar f tn Its up to you if you want to do it but ensure the tattooist is extremely clean and make sure you clean it regularly while healing..i also used bepanthen antiseptic baby cream during heal time. If you are in doubt ask your doctor.

Avatar f tn My local doctor was wary of all the side effects and wanted to try a neurontin cream compounded with doxipen and lidocaine. This combo seems to help some days but other days it makes the itch so much worse. Has anyone else tried these compounded creams? What strength and what were the medications involved?
Avatar f tn So I did my research and ended up purchasing a vaginal dilator set and asked my doctors to prescribe lidocaine which is a numbing cream that helps with feeling no pain down there at all! By using lube, lidocaine and my dilators for months I was finally able to have Intercourse for the the very first time.

Avatar f tn Part 2; There I am given a cream for scabies and medication for sleep. I was also given Trazodone. I was told this might help with the itching. Test results are (Bilirubin 2.2, AST 79, ALT 121) My Alkaline Phosphatase are at 151at this point. I went home and started this regiment of prescriptions. The cream for Scabies did not help but the sleep medication was a great welcome. I Slept for 12 hrs straight. I paid for it when I woke up. I called my Doctor and he set me up with a Liver Specialist.
Avatar f tn I don't think the cream is lidocaine, although they usually do mix some lidocaine in with the serum after they draw it out of the patient's vial. You should talk to his dr about the cream. I know that patients at my allergist's office that use it (some are adults) wear plastic wrap on their arm for the 30 before the shot. I am sure that your dr will know about it.
Avatar m tn try topical anelgesic cream it does wonders for mine, if that does not work ask your sdocto for somethin containg lidocaine
Avatar m tn I am not familiar with a patch or cream that contains a muscle relaxer. So I have done a search for a Muscle Relaxant Patch or Cream and turned up nothing. Usually I can find it on line if it exists. This is not to say there isn't one. So many medications are coming out in the transdermal application that it would not surprise me if there is now a muscle relaxant the is delivered through the skin.
Avatar f tn Hi got a tattoo august this year and a tender lump appeared. Shortly after and wondering does anyone have any idea what it could be?? I've used spot clearing cream but only stops it from getting bigger. This becomes crusty if I don't put cream on and takes away from the artwork. Please please help as my head is wrecked!!
Avatar f tn There are no contraindications for using lidocaine for the purpose described. The only danger is that lidocaine completely anesthetizes tissue, which is why you can cut or suture an area treated by lidocaine. Thus it is possible to cause a tear or injury that would not be noticed until the lidocaine wore off. In the case of normal intercourse, this should not be a problem.
Avatar n tn This is a question for your doctor or a pharmacist.
Avatar f tn On a longer term basis the risks outweigh the benefits. Ask your physician about prescribing a transdermal lidocaine patch, to be worn for no longer than 12 hours a day. You will also find medical grade DSMO cream will be helpful. Do not apply DSMO undiluted (in a cream this is already done) and make sure the skin is squeaky clean where the cream is applied.
Avatar f tn My tattoo is more than a month now. I had previous tattoos in my arms about 4 years ago. My new tattoo is in my elbow. After it heald I noticed some rash around the tattoo and some bumps. I went to 2 dermatologist in the Philippines but it is still not better. They gave me soaps, lotions and cream but still no effect. The most effective was the dermovate but once I stop using the rash is back. Any suggestions? I am tired of it and it has been more than a month.
Avatar m tn I am having a vasectomy and can I place a lidocaine patch on the area pre procedure to numb the pain?
Avatar m tn Yes, there are hair cream removers you can use. Something that would keep the hair away for even longer is having it waxed.
