Common Questions and Answers about Lidocaine wipes

lidoderm

Avatar f tn Should I consult my doc or what. I used dibucaine ointment and am contemplating lidocaine jelly. Any other tx options would be appreciated.
Avatar n tn You used lidocaine wipes directly on your penis. That's an analgesic albeit topical and numbs the nerves. It does work for some and is a non invasive way to extend things. How long the numbness lasts isn't really given to freely as there aren't a lot of studies. But if it is lasting significantly longer after using them? That's odd. It does deaden the nerve endings under your skin but it is to subside relatively quickly. https://www.mayoclinic.
Avatar f tn The symptoms wax and wane but I think the hemorrhoid cream and the hemorrhoid suppositories have helped the most. Also the Huggies baby wipes. They are essential. I might add, all baby wipes are NOT created equal. I tried to save a little money by buying the store brand and they made the irritation and pain worse. Also, don't get constipated and if you have the runs or losse stools, treat that too. I use Loperimide for the runs.
Avatar f tn At 2 months post exposure I thought I was experiencing folliculitis and was overzealous with some razor burn wipes (containing alcohol, salicilic acid and glycolic acid) which I think gave me a chemical burn in my vagina and rectum-that was the only time that a provider looked and saw red raw patches near introitus and rectum and said could be wipes, yeast or herpes. All cultures negative. I was also experiencing some peripheral neuropathy.
Avatar n tn I feel it would be safe to say you have hemmroids,, you get them from heavy lifting, sitting for long periods of time, straining during bowel movements endless reasons. and the itching may just be from not cleaning well enough after b.m.'s and the hemmroids make this more difficult,, I personally use baby wipes and if that doesn't help, ask your dr. for a perscription for Lidocaine HCI 3% and Hydrocortisone Acetate 2.5% Gel.
2177836 tn?1355173877 I packed diapers, wipes, 3-4 outfits, just to fit the weather, and type of delivery, because c-section you have to stay in there longer, mittens, socks, blanket, paci's, bottles and formula if you won't be BF'ing, burp cloths, stuff like that! I dread this part of my pregnancy because I always think I'm going to forget something!
Avatar m tn My doctor prescribed 3% lidocaine/0.5% hydrocortisone cream (which took two days to get). I was also using the hemorrhoid cream. In addition, I was using about 4-5 baby wipes to clean the area each time so that there was not one speck of anythiong left to irritate the hemorrhoids. Interestingly enough, about 6 days after that pain started, it began to decrease and after a couple more days, it was almost gone. I still had the external hemorrhoids but the hemorrhoid cream took care of them.
1986030 tn?1327535359 org/user_journals/show/333064/Incivek--Ideas-for-dealing-with-anal-rectal-pain-or-bleeding The basic idea is to keep the area clean, dry, and protected. You can try cleaning with baby wipes without alcohol and protecting with Balneol (an over the counter cleanser/moisturizer). Some people have also said that it has been helpful to keep the stool firm, but not too firm, as diarrhea seems to make it more painful and when it's too firm it hurts as well.
1080181 tn?1425394866 Go to the pharmacist and ask what they recommend...there are some really good remedies and most of them are pregnancy safe. General info on sun exposure during pregnancy: Avoid sunburn during pregnancy like you avoid alcohol!!! I'm not kidding! I'm not ragging on you, what's done is done, but I want everyone who comes across this to know that sunburn can and frequently does cause contractions. It can even send you into early labor. Sunburn is trauma, just like any other injury.
Avatar f tn Pampers wipes make baby's butt feel greasy and slimy, not clean. When I used disposable wipes the Huggies Naturals were my favorites. But homemade flannel wipes were super effective and saved tons of money in the long term... so that's what we'll use for baby #2.
Avatar f tn If i buy a 3 boxes of wipes 550 ct each box . Will they dry out by the time mt babys home im due oct 4 im 31 weeks ?
Avatar m tn my co-worker gave me a new 10ml bottle of lidocaine, he uses it to give himself stitches. advice as to where to put the needle (i got from cvs insulin 31g-8mm),what to expect ie: will it burn- how long b4 its numb, and if i split the nail will it grow back? any advice will help..
1571533 tn?1322943509 Hey. I went to my PCP yesterday and he gave me a LIDODERM, a lidocaine patch, to try and help with the pain in my neck -he thinks if that calms down so will the migraines.. theyve been everyday constantly for well over a month and a half, and no meds help.. nor do therapeutic methods i have here at home.. Has anyone here used it before? And did it help? I tried to use it last night but it wouldnt stick to my neck.
Avatar f tn The other issue is the hemorrhoids, the external rectal and anal irritation, and the external burning. For this I used Huggies baby wipes with aloe after every single stool and I got every little hint of stool off of the butt. Any stool left on burned and itched. A person can also take a shower every time but that gets to be a few showers every day, lol. I also used lidocaine creame with hydrocortizone cream (prescription) and it numbs the outside. At times I used Prep.
Avatar n tn Obviously there are many possibilities, including local irritation from the chemicals in the wipes or any soaps that you may not completely rinse from the opening to your vagina. Why do you have urethral dilatations? Do you truly have a urethral stricture (very rare in women)? If you have a true stricture, then reconstruction of this area seems appropriate to get the problem treated for good. Would your urethral burning get better with a mild urinary analgesic such as pyridium? Or Tylenol?
Avatar n tn Re: Lidocaine Enemas. I am warning everyone to be careful. My brother just died 3/31/12 from a lidocaine enema. He was only 28. (Lidocaine Intoxication) Lidocaine in liquid form. I don't want anyone elses loved ones to die like this. I hope everyone will be careful when dealing w/lidocaine. it is a dangerous substance when not used properly.
383138 tn?1314167773 wants to do a lidocaine IV infusion, he says IV infusion of lidocaine is different than the dental injection. My cardiologist says I can't have lidocaine at all, due to my past severe heart reaction to it, but my pain dr. thinks it will be OK and has scheduled me for infusion for pain relief for this Friday. I dont know what to do, so any info on the lidocaine and any contraidictions with heart arrhythmias would be helpful. Thankyou.
Avatar f tn There are no contraindications for using lidocaine for the purpose described. The only danger is that lidocaine completely anesthetizes tissue, which is why you can cut or suture an area treated by lidocaine. Thus it is possible to cause a tear or injury that would not be noticed until the lidocaine wore off. In the case of normal intercourse, this should not be a problem.
Avatar m tn In a simple dental procedure, I had what I can only describe as a seizure after getting what was supposed to be lidocaine and epinephrine injection. The area never got numb, and the pain from the point of the needle each time they attempted to inject me was painful. I was taken to the ER and released after 8 hours with no explanation. I read that lidocaine can cause a seizure. I have had injections many times with no problem. What could have gone wrong?
306455 tn?1288862071 lotsatrout...good idea...you ought to get a patent....lidocaine suit...i like that!!! ...My educated guess says it is not addictive!!!...and we know where my educated guesses have gotten me before!!!
Avatar f tn It probably isn't the lidocaine, it's the epinephrine that is in the lidocaine. You can ask your dentist to use an anesthetic without epinephrine, I have had tons of dental work and always ask for that. Dentist doesn't mind at all and I've never had any problems. It doesn't last as long but if you start to feel anything while they are working the dentist will just give you more. I have done fine with it.
Avatar f tn Forget the Lidocaine it does not work well for the pain also the gel sticks to your underwear which sticks to you and then the pain starts all over again. Wearing larger size underwear does help, not washing with soap or letting any shampoos and so on touch the area helps, talc helps short term to stop the sticking or rubbing. Not wiping yourself with paper but just dab helps or using wipes with nothing in them helps too. Not wearing underwear in bed also helps.
Avatar f tn Look at the ingredients on the bottle. Benzocaine is mostly made up of lidocaine -a numbing agent in no way related to cocaine. You are more likely to test positive for THC (pot) from using motrin.
673999 tn?1226935279 The new standard inoffice bladder instillation for IC is Lidocaine instillation with bicarbonate solution. The lidocaine is a local anesthetic and the bicarbonate allows the lidocaine to penetrate the bladder wall to get to the bladder nerves. Lidocaine without the bicarbonate solution has only minimal bladder wall penetration and very short duration of action (minutes to an hour).
Avatar m tn I have read previous posts, but am wondering what medications would cause a false negative 4th gen test. Medication that I am concerned about is lidocaine viscous. My Doctor has told me several times that it would not and that I am conclusive non-reactive. But just checking.
