My doctor prescribed 3% lidocaine/0.5% hydrocortisone cream (which took two days to get). I was also using the hemorrhoid cream. In addition, I was using about 4-5 baby wipes to clean the area each time so that there was not one speck of anythiong left to irritate the hemorrhoids. Interestingly enough, about 6 days after that pain started, it began to decrease and after a couple more days, it was almost gone. I still had the external hemorrhoids but the hemorrhoid cream took care of them.
I have seen 13 doctors for extreme vulvodynia (specifically clitoridynia) which is getting worse by the day and have had no relief from every medication imaginable (Elavil, Neurontin,Lyrica, opiods, compounded meds, lidocaine). Given your history that you were given injection Vitrase, it is possible that you were given an overdose. But overdose of Juvederm causes lumps which can be easily removed by hyaluronidase. Vitrase is hyaluronidase and it was given to avoid any lump formation. Overdosage of Juvederm will not cause redness, swelling and headaches. It is more likely to be due to an allergic reaction.

It sounds like you, clohr, might also have something called vulvadynia, and there are many treatment for that to try first. It often goes along with IC, I have this also. These things can also help with the pain of IC after sex as well!

There is absolutely, 100% NO WAY the Lidocaine effect lasted 3 weeks. Zero. Zilch. Nada, as they say. Lidocaine is very short acting...and would be completely out of your system within hours, not weeks. Whether or not it triggered the initial round of PVC's, I can't say, but it DEFINATELY did not make them last 3 weeks. I doubt you will believe me.
PVC's are a very common and annoying problem...seems just about anything and everything can set them off, including anxiety.
