Common Questions and Answers about Lidocaine lotion

lidoderm

Avatar f tn I received my shipment today of ocean potion and rec. by another person on this site. I found it to provide instant relief of itching. It's temporary but still I would recommend it since it is so cheap. Much cheaper then Sarna. Huge bottles 20.5 oz each, like $3.50 a bottle. I got 2 shipped by wal mart since it's not available in Phoenix at wal mart or walgreens. Cost me $12 with tax and shipping. It's worth having in the arsenal, good for riba or incevik.
Avatar m tn I go to this weird Korean skin care place for my bacne. A few months ago, they injected triamcinolone+lidocaine into a few specific acne spots. I started itching like crazy, breathing was difficult, and they let me go home after injecting me with an antihistamine (I imagine). Rash went away after my 3 hour nap.
Avatar f tn The only way I got, and maintained relief was to LATHER my entire body with lotion TWICE a day. Many here swear by Gold Bond, green bottle, red cap. I couldn't deal with the menthol and I settled (tried 8 or 10 products) on Cetafil. I used so much that it became pretty expensive but could not have txed with out it.
Avatar f tn The only thing new in the last day or two is the tips of my fingers are dry and pealing. Even with lotion. I do have a History of NON Hodgkin Lymphoma. I asked my Dr about that and he didn’t seem worried about that. Said my White blood counts are normal. My Questions is simply this, What is going on with me? Can you please help me?
4592444 tn?1362029703 I swea I am going to tear my skin off!!! I can't stand it. I have gone through 3 bottles of lotion in the past week. I can't afford to keep itching lol! What do you do to get some relief???
Avatar f tn I have tried many kinds of creams and lotions. The only relief is from lidocaine lotion, and that is short-lived pain relief. I am obese and recently was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I have been to several dermatologists and either they have no clue or 1 said it was panniculitis and suggested less time sitting and lose weight. Both are easier said than done. Sometimes the pain is so bad I have to lay on my stomach in bed. I have also tried multiple kinds of cushions and other chairs.
Avatar f tn This is not uncommon. Not really sure what you mean about "fluid." Sounds like you have a terrible sunburn and a water blister on your forehead related to the burn. I will agree with the previous poster that aloe vera lotion or gel is best for sunburns. Give your skin some time to recover.
Avatar n tn It is now available even at WalMart the problem is,it is a lotion/gel type thing, so if you can, you need to apply it and give it a minute or two to get into your skin. Have not seen it in a spray but will look and let you know. Good luck BigTBird!.
Avatar m tn Hi, this is really hard to search for, so I'm posting a new topic. I have all the symptoms of BRP - intensely itchy arms around the elbow/upper forearms with no marking (until I scratch them until it bleeds), so it's not a rash or anything like that. Only helps if I use an ice pack, but then as soon as it warms up, it starts again. I've lived in Hawaii since March 2014. This just started about six months ago.
Avatar m tn my co-worker gave me a new 10ml bottle of lidocaine, he uses it to give himself stitches. advice as to where to put the needle (i got from cvs insulin 31g-8mm),what to expect ie: will it burn- how long b4 its numb, and if i split the nail will it grow back? any advice will help..

Avatar f tn Does it matter what lotion that i put on my belly? Sented, baby lotion, aloe...
Avatar f tn Can anyone recommend a good stretch mark prevention lotion. I'm 18 weeks and my belly is pushing out and I want to not get stretch marks. All the help is appreciated.
Avatar m tn It wouldnt survive at all in lotion. Only in some bodily fluids can it live.
Avatar f tn Ive been using "cocoa butter lotion before and after pregnancy stretch marks" and it seemrd to work at first but now that im 8 months im getting stretch marks what else can I use im only 17 and want a prettty figure afterwards notna bunch of stretch marks lol
Avatar f tn I'm a 30 year old woman with nearly constant mild to moderate itching with several spurts a day of severe itching that keeps me from sleeping or focusing. It began three years ago during my 20th week of pregnancy and never left. I have tested negative for all allergens. I've had a kenalog shot, attarax, benzodiazepenes. I've used lidocaine, menthol, etc type lotions (and three or four prescription ones). Nothing helps. I don't have dry skin.
Avatar n tn This is fairly easily treated - use a topical antibiotic ointment along with your antifungal. Bacitracin works wonders. I'd recommend getting it with lidocaine as well in order to help any associated pain. Follow up with a moisturizing lotion. It's important to apply this after showering. If you can, I would recommend applying it 3x daily. It typically clears up in a couple weeks.
Avatar n tn Re: Lidocaine Enemas. I am warning everyone to be careful. My brother just died 3/31/12 from a lidocaine enema. He was only 28. (Lidocaine Intoxication) Lidocaine in liquid form. I don't want anyone elses loved ones to die like this. I hope everyone will be careful when dealing w/lidocaine. it is a dangerous substance when not used properly.
383138 tn?1314167773 wants to do a lidocaine IV infusion, he says IV infusion of lidocaine is different than the dental injection. My cardiologist says I can't have lidocaine at all, due to my past severe heart reaction to it, but my pain dr. thinks it will be OK and has scheduled me for infusion for pain relief for this Friday. I dont know what to do, so any info on the lidocaine and any contraidictions with heart arrhythmias would be helpful. Thankyou.
Avatar f tn There are no contraindications for using lidocaine for the purpose described. The only danger is that lidocaine completely anesthetizes tissue, which is why you can cut or suture an area treated by lidocaine. Thus it is possible to cause a tear or injury that would not be noticed until the lidocaine wore off. In the case of normal intercourse, this should not be a problem.
Avatar m tn In a simple dental procedure, I had what I can only describe as a seizure after getting what was supposed to be lidocaine and epinephrine injection. The area never got numb, and the pain from the point of the needle each time they attempted to inject me was painful. I was taken to the ER and released after 8 hours with no explanation. I read that lidocaine can cause a seizure. I have had injections many times with no problem. What could have gone wrong?
Avatar f tn / I was given flagyl for bv on monday. I've taken twice a day from monday to sunday. Pills r all gone and now I've been itchy down there today. Its so frustrating to me! If its not one thing then its another.
Avatar f tn Treatment of post herpetic neuralgia are antidepressants, anticonvulsants (such as gabapentin or pregabalin) and topical agents such as lidocaine patches or capsaicin lotion. Opioid analgesics may also be appropriate in many situations. For more information visit http://en.wikipedia.
Avatar f tn It will be best that you consult a neurologist and treatment options could be anticonvulsants such as gabapentin, antideprassants and topical lidocaine lotion. Now a day, few recent treatments could be rhizotomy (cutting the affected nerve to relieve pain) and TENS (a electrical pulse therapy). Hope this helps.
