Re: Lidocaine Enemas. I am warning everyone to be careful. My brother just died 3/31/12 from a lidocaine enema. He was only 28. (Lidocaine Intoxication) Lidocaine in liquid form. I don't want anyone elses loved ones to die like this. I hope everyone will be careful when dealing w/lidocaine. it is a dangerous substance when not used properly.
For the past year, my wife has been having almost constant liquid pass and the area around her anus is just totally sore. Our new GI is treating it like IBS/Colitis with wechol and other meds.
My wife lost her entire colon to cancer some years ago. They made a J pouch of small intestine and did anastamosis to her anus via stripped rectum (IPAA) and she has always had frequent loose bowel movements, but not liquid.
I have a compound for carafate, lidocaine, and Benadryl. When it was mixed, it was liquid and now it's clumped and formed a gel-like. Is this supposed to be like that?
Dip the alcohol purified catheter in a bottle of LIQUID lubricant (KY or less expensive generic brand). Afterward, thoroughly rinse catheter and return to alcohol bath. For ME - can't speak for or recommend to anyone - but for ME, this makes my three times a day procedure so easy and safe, I wouldn't go back to nature's way. When traveling, store caths in zip lock bag with enough alcohol to keep 'em wet. I fly a lot.
I have either a severe sinus infection or mono(will know tomorrow), but the doctor prescribed me BP Poly 650 every 4 to 6 hours, corzall liquid every 4 to 6 hours, lidocaine every 3 hours, and promethazine 25mg at bed time, I broke out in a rash from my prior antibiotic and have to take 2 benadryl until it's gone, and I've been taking ibuprofen to relieve the swelling and help my fever.
I would see a dentist to make sure what it is. In the mean time you can mix 1/2 and 1/2 liquid benadryl and maalox or other liquid indigestion medication and swish it around your mouth. Tht won't hurt you but y ou need to find out if the ulcer is due to yeast because you will need an anti-fungal to get rid of that.
Also use ice packs. Also I take (only works when the severe headache just starts,) a nasal liquid of Lidocaine 2% and Vis. Sol Hi. When all of this fails and I'm just vomiting and very dehydrated, then I have to go to the ER and get Benedryl, Reglan and Morphine which helps bring the migraine down a couple points and I'm usually laid up for at least a week afterwards from the migraines continuing, but as bad as before the ER.
11 days ago I was treated for urethritis (clear liquid when tip of penis is squeezed, pin prick feeling in the tip of the penis, and tenderness in the penis as well as scrotum) under the assumption for either Gonorrhea and/or Chlamydia with azithromycin 1g and cefixime 400mg, which only could have been contracted by unprotected Felacio received by a female.
All tests results (urine and swab) came back negative. Yet to this day symptoms persist.
If the wisdom tooth is already through they can most likely take it out! They only need the anesthesia for the teeth that haven't yet broken through! If they can't take it out I'm sure they could prescribe liquid lidocaine, idk if it's safe or not, but you don't swallow it so I don't see why not. But Tylenol and maybe sucking on ice might help sort of numb it.
Is aloe vera gel with lidocaine oki to put on? If not does anyone have any remedies? I didnt think walking around the boardwalk in a tank top without sunscreen would burn me because i normally turn brown not red.
hi there i also have a tight throat sometimes it gets really bad too its been going on for about 5 days now.The doctor perscribed me lidocaine(numbing throat sullution)and something to calm down my stomach also prevacide.I get so scared at night time ive also lost 10lbs or more cause im on a soft food/liquid diet cause im affraid im gonna choke.
my co-worker gave me a new 10ml bottle of lidocaine, he uses it to give himself stitches. advice as to where to put the needle (i got from cvs insulin 31g-8mm),what to expect ie: will it burn- how long b4 its numb, and if i split the nail will it grow back? any advice will help..
Hi, I have the same symptoms you do. Chest pain is always serious, and needs to be evaluate to rule out cardiac issues. However, that being said, you have had 3 EKGs, an echo, and I assume blood test which would be positive for certain enzymes IF you had suffered a heart attack and/or ischemia.
Ok, so ruling out heart issues, let me tell you that GERD can absolutely cause chest pain...and it is downright awful.

There are no contraindications for using lidocaine for the purpose described. The only danger is that lidocaine completely anesthetizes tissue, which is why you can cut or suture an area treated by lidocaine. Thus it is possible to cause a tear or injury that would not be noticed until the lidocaine wore off. In the case of normal intercourse, this should not be a problem.
In a simple dental procedure, I had what I can only describe as a seizure after getting what was supposed to be lidocaine and epinephrine injection. The area never got numb, and the pain from the point of the needle each time they attempted to inject me was painful. I was taken to the ER and released after 8 hours with no explanation.
I read that lidocaine can cause a seizure. I have had injections many times with no problem. What could have gone wrong?
It probably isn't the lidocaine, it's the epinephrine that is in the lidocaine. You can ask your dentist to use an anesthetic without epinephrine, I have had tons of dental work and always ask for that. Dentist doesn't mind at all and I've never had any problems. It doesn't last as long but if you start to feel anything while they are working the dentist will just give you more. I have done fine with it.
I have now asked my doctor to prescribe Lidocaine, and I will make my own. Supposedly, you use Maalox, Childrens liquid Benadryl and the Lidocane, but I don't know how much of each. I'll look it up when (if) I need to. Now that I'm going back to work in Sept., I hope and pray so hard that these sores don't come back because it hurts and I look like a monster.
Also, if a person is a Herpes Simplex carrier, it can manifest itself while on tx.
Look at the ingredients on the bottle. Benzocaine is mostly made up of lidocaine -a numbing agent in no way related to cocaine. You are more likely to test positive for THC (pot) from using motrin.
