Lidocaine hydrocortisone

Common Questions and Answers about Lidocaine hydrocortisone

lidoderm

Avatar n tn One online surgeon suggested it could be folliculitis. I applied neosporin, with no relief. Last night I applied the lidocaine 3% 0.5% hydrocortisone as indicated and also on that area. It is at 4 o'clock on the anal rim. How much longer should I wait until I make an appointment with a dermatologist?
Avatar f tn It feels like the rest of my itchy skin... I thought about hydrocortisone cream but was afraid it would cause an infection...
Avatar n tn I feel it would be safe to say you have hemmroids,, you get them from heavy lifting, sitting for long periods of time, straining during bowel movements endless reasons. and the itching may just be from not cleaning well enough after b.m.'s and the hemmroids make this more difficult,, I personally use baby wipes and if that doesn't help, ask your dr. for a perscription for Lidocaine HCI 3% and Hydrocortisone Acetate 2.5% Gel.
Avatar m tn My doctor prescribed 3% lidocaine/0.5% hydrocortisone cream (which took two days to get). I was also using the hemorrhoid cream. In addition, I was using about 4-5 baby wipes to clean the area each time so that there was not one speck of anythiong left to irritate the hemorrhoids. Interestingly enough, about 6 days after that pain started, it began to decrease and after a couple more days, it was almost gone. I still had the external hemorrhoids but the hemorrhoid cream took care of them.
Avatar f tn I am using Benadryl, Keri lotion, and Hydrocortizone cream for the rash and itching, but I will admit, so far mine has been mild. As for the Fire in the Hole, that side effect has been a doozy. I am using unscented baby wipes with aloe after going to the BR (Huggies), hemorrhoid cream, sometimes A&D ointment (for any outer excoriation), prescription Lidocaine 3%/Hydrocortizone 0.5% cream, and hemorrhoid suppositories.
Avatar f tn Hi just wondering if it's possible to lose weight while taking hydrocortisone....I'm exercising 4 to 5 times a week and eating right but still can't lose weight,,, all I'm losing is energy..I have a pituitary tumor btw...
3997931 tn?1348977376 While on the triple medication for type one hep c is it ok to use Hydrocortisone cream 1%?
Avatar m tn After applying hydrocortisone for 4 days the small red spots are gone and the one larger remaining spot is almost vanished completely. At this rate, it will probably be completely cleared up within the next two days. I honestly thought It was possible I had warts. I assume hydrocortisone wouldn't be able to clear something like that up. Any ideas what I had? My doctor had suggested it could be warts but told me I would need to have a biopsy to know for sure.
Avatar n tn one week penicillin concurrent with one week acyclovir, one week mouthwash (swallow) with hydrocortisone powder, nystatin, tetracycline, and diphenhydramine. two weeks tylenol, sporadically, never more than 3 g in one day. At the time of the test, I was still taking viscous lidocaine for throat ulcers. Used two 100 ml bottles in four weeks, just started third bottle. I seem to either be having a gastroparesis flare or something else.
Avatar m tn my co-worker gave me a new 10ml bottle of lidocaine, he uses it to give himself stitches. advice as to where to put the needle (i got from cvs insulin 31g-8mm),what to expect ie: will it burn- how long b4 its numb, and if i split the nail will it grow back? any advice will help..

Avatar n tn Re: Lidocaine Enemas. I am warning everyone to be careful. My brother just died 3/31/12 from a lidocaine enema. He was only 28. (Lidocaine Intoxication) Lidocaine in liquid form. I don't want anyone elses loved ones to die like this. I hope everyone will be careful when dealing w/lidocaine. it is a dangerous substance when not used properly.
Avatar m tn When it comes to your health, sometimes you have to take things into your own hands unfortunately. You're you're own best advocate. Time to get proactive. Try to figure things out and ask the doctors for things (hounding them if necessary, even if it's just so they give in to shut you up). We know the 3 common possibilities.. -Something structural compressing a nerve or vessel. -Some local inflammation putting pressure on a nerve or vessel.
383138 tn?1314167773 wants to do a lidocaine IV infusion, he says IV infusion of lidocaine is different than the dental injection. My cardiologist says I can't have lidocaine at all, due to my past severe heart reaction to it, but my pain dr. thinks it will be OK and has scheduled me for infusion for pain relief for this Friday. I dont know what to do, so any info on the lidocaine and any contraidictions with heart arrhythmias would be helpful. Thankyou.
Avatar f tn There are no contraindications for using lidocaine for the purpose described. The only danger is that lidocaine completely anesthetizes tissue, which is why you can cut or suture an area treated by lidocaine. Thus it is possible to cause a tear or injury that would not be noticed until the lidocaine wore off. In the case of normal intercourse, this should not be a problem.
Avatar m tn In a simple dental procedure, I had what I can only describe as a seizure after getting what was supposed to be lidocaine and epinephrine injection. The area never got numb, and the pain from the point of the needle each time they attempted to inject me was painful. I was taken to the ER and released after 8 hours with no explanation. I read that lidocaine can cause a seizure. I have had injections many times with no problem. What could have gone wrong?
306455 tn?1288862071 lotsatrout...good idea...you ought to get a patent....lidocaine suit...i like that!!! ...My educated guess says it is not addictive!!!...and we know where my educated guesses have gotten me before!!!
Avatar f tn It probably isn't the lidocaine, it's the epinephrine that is in the lidocaine. You can ask your dentist to use an anesthetic without epinephrine, I have had tons of dental work and always ask for that. Dentist doesn't mind at all and I've never had any problems. It doesn't last as long but if you start to feel anything while they are working the dentist will just give you more. I have done fine with it.
Avatar f tn Look at the ingredients on the bottle. Benzocaine is mostly made up of lidocaine -a numbing agent in no way related to cocaine. You are more likely to test positive for THC (pot) from using motrin.
1986030 tn?1327535359 For me it would come and go. Like other sx - I would never know what other day brings.
673999 tn?1226935279 The new standard inoffice bladder instillation for IC is Lidocaine instillation with bicarbonate solution. The lidocaine is a local anesthetic and the bicarbonate allows the lidocaine to penetrate the bladder wall to get to the bladder nerves. Lidocaine without the bicarbonate solution has only minimal bladder wall penetration and very short duration of action (minutes to an hour).
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with secondary autoimmune adrenal insufficiency in December. I feel lousy most of the time, have chronic abdominal pain and abnormal stools, and feel best flat on my back...which doesn't work well for someone who works 12 hour shifts in a busy ER while selling one house, building another, and has 2 teens and a disabled husband, lol. Here's my question. If a person has say diabetes, their meds are based on their blood sugars.
643867 tn?1225298753 and have been on a maintenance dose of hydrocortisone of 20 mg/ am.......10 mg/ afternoon......and florinef.........this for 30 years.....I only say this because after hearing how you seem to want to regulate yourself..........my advice to you is........see the best endo man you can find........get the right blood tests for adrenal and thyroid function.......then......pay attention to what he says as to how to treat it........and continue with what he says to do...........
