There are no contraindications for using lidocaine for the purpose described. The only danger is that lidocaine completely anesthetizes tissue, which is why you can cut or suture an area treated by lidocaine. Thus it is possible to cause a tear or injury that would not be noticed until the lidocaine wore off. In the case of normal intercourse, this should not be a problem.
I went to have an old piercing reopened so the piercer asked me to wait 15 minutes for the taper to be sterilized (I'm assuming with an autoclave) as he was not using a needle so the tool needed to be properly cleaned if it had possibly been used previously. I know I saw no blood on the taper but I wasn't inspecting it up close. IF the taper had been contaminated is it possible to get it this way?

I am terrified of needles too and I FELT NOTHING.. They used Buffered Lidocaine injection which I did not feel any of.. I must admit, I did put over the counter Lidocaine cream all over my breast about an hour before the procedure. I used this Lidocaine cream on my arm before a tetanus shot that I had to get and was so afraid of and I was screaming for the nurse to WAIT but.. IT WAS ALREADY DONE! Helps a lot so you don't feel pain.
Nurse also gave me tips for next time I get an injection.

There appears to be a diffuse disturbance in pain perception in fibromyalgia patients. Tattooing can elicit unknown responses in these patients because about half of them are known to have allergies. It may trigger muscular pains and other symptoms in these overtly sensitive individuals. So I would advise you to exercise caution and avoid tattooing although there is no substantial proof of it being a trigger or aggravating factor. I hope this helps.
Hi. I am a 50-year-old woman. I have fair skin and have had my share of bad sunburns, especially as a child so I always have this fear of developing skin cancer down the road. I have several tattoos but none on freckled areas. However, I am now wanting to start a tattoo sleeve. My question is, should some form of skin cancer develop, would the tattoos mask the signs or would it still be noticeable? I don't have any concerning areas on my skin as of now.

m concerned whether she followed sterilization for the rest of the materials that may or may not be disposable. She used the top part of the tattoo pen's cartridge to spread the numbing cream through my eyebrows before using the needle. The cartridge should be easily removed from the bottom part of the pen and then disposed of (as per government's guidelines), but when I later asked her what she does and if she disinfects it, she vaguely said yes.
