I have been on levora birth control for four months now and my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex two days in a row and he finished inside of me, we usually don't do that. However, now I'm getting nervous because I hear that levora is a low dose pill and they are easy to get pregnant on.. I usually take it at 8 am sometimes I'm an hour late but usually I always take it at 8. I'm on the third week of my pack so I should be starting my period next week.
I've been on combination birth control for about 5 months now (first Levora, then switched to Portia 2 months in), and I've had breakthrough periods before. In the past, they were like my regular periods: lighter, but similar general consistency and flow so I would have to wear a pad. Recently, I've noticed that when I wipe, there's been light traces of blood which I thought was just my breakthrough period.
They were also always very heavy and painful, hence why my mother opted to put me on Levora. I loved the Levora because it regulated my periods to 28 days apart like clockwork and also alleviated the heavy flow and cramps. Even when I went off of it for a few months my period remained regular.
Well I was forced to get off of it at age 27 after a blood test came back and showed I have Prothrombin Thrombophilia, a genetic disorder that increases my risk of blood clots.
Within a few days of taking Levora again I noticed that I was much more mentally vulnerable and by the third week on Levora I was completely destroyed emotionally and mentally. This last weekend I had very strong desires to kill myself by stabbing myself repeatedly. I have a great husband who has helped me stay safe and talked me through the difficult times. I am not ready for a hysterectomy/ooverectomy yet. Is there a birth control pill out there with fewer side effects for depression.
m pain and just honestly forgetting them. I had sex this past weekend and I started spotting after ward (my period is due in 3 days) buy I have not bled anymore since. I have had a constant discharge which looks like I am ovulating I know a little about this from my doctor explaining what my discharge would look like when I ovulate however I thought you didn't ovulate birth control? Did those 3 pilld make me ovulate and is it even possible to ovulate this late in my cycle?
t know. when i went in they switched me off of the yasmin and onto levora so it would be cheaper. but i never had problems with yasmin anyways. but after taking the levora i started getting anxiety not anxiety attacks but just high anxiety all the time everyday till now. i don't know if it was the levora or if it was the sinus thing because i remember feeling sort of like this the day we went to pick the levora for the first time. does anyone have any answers for me.
) anyways before my period was due i noticed bad nip pain like almost a burning. it lazted a few days and was on and off. i also kept gettin dizzy spells and nausea. my period was due the 13 i started a day late. normaly im quite regular (i always start on my 3rd sugar pill.) anyways my period was 3 days super light barely a pink/brown spot not even enough to fill a tampon i put one in and it was uncomfy too dry normally i have to wear a pad and a.tampon.
s my period but its been 4 days now and the bleeding is still pretty heavy which is atypical for me and this length of time for a period is atypical also.
I'm concerned, especially since I've never had those specks before my period. I currently don't have health insurance for a month so I need to wait until early October for when my new coverage kicks in.
Any advice? Should I continue with my pills for this next month? Any ideas what this could be?
About two weeks ago I started taking Tri-Nessa and i still am bleeding (definitely more than a spotting). Although now I have unbearable cramping that I have never experienced, heavier bleeding than with the last 2 pills and twice now in the last 2 days these skin-like pieces are coming out of me. They're not blood clots. They're skin-like and rubbery with blood on them. What is this and should I be worried?
Im on levOra, have been for 5 mOnths. I have horrible allergies so last week I took 1 antibiotic pill to try & stop my symptoms. This was about 5 days ago. Will I get pregnant if I have sex unprotected?
I'm taking birth control pills since yesterday. My doctor didn't ask me to take a pregnancy test because I was sure I wasn't. But this morning I threw up and I feel nausea. I'm also experiencing dizziness. I'm taking levora. So now idk if I'm pregnant or it's just the first effects of the pills. I talked to my doctor and she said I shouldn't be throwing up.

If you suffer from dysmenorrhea (painful menses) or irregular menses, yes, the birth control pill can be used to help regulate your menstrual cycle and improve dysmenorrhea. In your case, having had a tubal ligation, the indication would not be for birth control but for the symptoms you describe and that is fine.
I'm not sure what you mean by taking four pills. You should take it as you otherwise would: one pill at the same time each day.
i have been on levora for 3 yrs now. about 2 months ago i started having weird symptoms. My boobs randomly will hurt, or sometimes just 1 nipple. I become moody easily, and sometimes sad easily, i've been getting bloated. i've been feeling bloated and today started cramping mildly. last month i didn't have a normal period it was very light (only needed a pantyliner if that), the blood was brown, had no cramps and it lasted 3 days. I took 2 HPT both were negative.
I wasted so much time and money taking pregancy test (blood and otc) and no pregancy. In November on the 6th I got my period, but it only lasted 3 days and was very light. Now I counted 28 days from that, which is the length of my cycle the pervious months minus Oct. and my period should have been due on Dec. 4th. Here it is Dec. 12th and still no sign and I don't even feel like I'm going to start my period.
I started oral birth control 20 days ago (levora I think its called). My husband and I had unprotected sex abt 2 weeks before that and my period ended on the same day I started taking the pills. I've been cramping sorta and have a lot of back pain these last 4 weeks. ( I started on my peach pills Sunday).
Then I got back on it a year later, and started having major signs of depression,weight gain,and just a change in my hormones. I use to be the bubbliest happiest person in the world before I started taking this pill. Now I find myself majorly depressed,and have been gaining weight. I am also, tired all the time. Before I started taking the pill, I use to have so much energy. I know that I am not the same person as I was before I started taking this pill.
I took birth control for two months last year (Levora 15/30). I stopped taking them in late June because it was making me tired, and I had a really nasty bout of acid reflux and sweating one night, and other digestive issues. The heartburn went away for a few weeks, but then came back with a vengeance and wreaked havoc on my life for the next couple of months. It caused sore throat, and heartburn mainly, and also developed fluid in the inner ear which caused chronic pain and popping.
Last month I missed a pill one day in about the middle of the month and began spotting for about a week or so, and still got a regular period when it was scheduled. This month, almost two weeks ago I began spotting even though i haven't missed a single pill. I've looked for reasons this may be happening but only see people mentioning spotting that shouldn't hit your underwear, or only be a small amount for a few days when missing a pill or becoming pregnant.
So May 9, 2013 i had experienced something that has NEVER IN MY LIFE happened 2 me. I started spotting and it wasnt a period but this spotting is very light and the color is light pink then turns alittle brown. I am trying for a baby but it cant be my period cuz my periods are at the end of each month and i just got off recently. it is may 11th, 2013 and im still spotting lightly. cycles: FEB 23-27, MAR 27-31=32 DAYS AND MAR 27-31, APR 25-29= 29 DAYS. SO WHEN DO I OVULATE FOR MAY????
Cramping is normal and spotting can happen, but it is not good to have them together. Some women bleed and/or spot during early pregnancy but you should go to a doctor to make sure that the bleeding or spotting is not threatening the baby. I personally had some spotting during early pregnancy, but the baby was fine. I did not have cramping while I was spotting and the spotting wasn't continuous for days. Definitely get yourself checked out.
So although it is scary and you feel nervous every time you go to the loo, spotting is very common!
