Common Questions and Answers about Does levora help with acne

levora

Avatar f tn I have had major depression on and off all of my life. I am taking prozac off and on for it and it helps sometimes (i'm pretty sure i am bipolar) And will be seeing a doctor as soon as i can about it. But I started taking LO/Ovral birth control at the same time I started taking my prozac and my mood greatly improved. Since I have run out of my birth control my mind isn't as stable. I'm not sure if the LO/OVRAL had any thing to do with it but it might help.
Avatar f tn but i never had problems with yasmin anyways. but after taking the levora i started getting anxiety not anxiety attacks but just high anxiety all the time everyday till now. i don't know if it was the levora or if it was the sinus thing because i remember feeling sort of like this the day we went to pick the levora for the first time. does anyone have any answers for me.
Avatar f tn So I took Levora from the age of like 14 through 26 (I went off of it around age 23 and got pregnant shortly after so I didn't get back on it until I stopped breastfeeding). I started getting my period very young (age 9) and I don't recall them being too irregular. Normally they'd be about 28 - 32 days in between periods. So a little irregular but still not too irregular. They were also always very heavy and painful, hence why my mother opted to put me on Levora.
Avatar f tn I went on the pill for the same reason when I was 16. It didn't really make a difference with my acne, but it helped to regulate my periods and made them lighter, and more managable. But my acne got better as I got older. I also used acne cream from my pharmacist, if you go in and ask them, they will normally give you one from behind the counter, they are stronger than the ones you can pick up yourself, but not as strong as if they doctor was to prescribe it for you. Hopefully this helps!
Avatar f tn I have been on levora birth control for four months now and my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex two days in a row and he finished inside of me, we usually don't do that. However, now I'm getting nervous because I hear that levora is a low dose pill and they are easy to get pregnant on.. I usually take it at 8 am sometimes I'm an hour late but usually I always take it at 8. I'm on the third week of my pack so I should be starting my period next week.
Avatar m tn In the beginning when I was taking it, I had lost weight and noticed that i barely has problems with my cysts on my ovaries. It seemed to have shrunken them.I was doing fine for about a year, and stopped taking the pill. Then I got back on it a year later, and started having major signs of depression, weight gain, and just a change in my hormones. I use to be the bubbliest happiest person in the world before I started taking this pill.

Avatar m tn so for the past 6 months i've been on levora, a birth control. the past couple of months i've been having aches on my right side, i'm pretty sure it's my ovary (and no i do not think it's ovulatin, those aches last only a day). these aches are on and off the whole month.i had my withdrawal bleed about 2 and a half weeks ago so i doubt i'm pregnant. i'm very good at taking the pill as well. i've been with my.
Avatar f tn I get the bumps quite often. Instead of being filled with pus, like most regular acne, mine are filled with blood. Squeezing or popping them is much more painful than popping a pimple and only makes them worse and more prone to scarring. I've found a product called Prosacea that works quite well to keep the condition from flaring, as long as I use it daily. If I skip a few days, I get the painful bumps back again.
Avatar n tn How are you? Acne is a skin condition that affects many children. In some cases, people with mild acne do not take any medications and usually goes in time without scarring. If there is no improvement, see your dermatologist for proper evaluation and treatment of acne. Proper diet, cleansing of the face and avoidance in touching the face can help with this condition from progressing. Avatar n tn Hi everyone,I am 6 weeks pregnant with my first and I am getting the worst Acne which is driving me crazy. Not only does it look terrible but it hurts alot. Can anyone recommend some remedies to help my situation?
Avatar n tn Have you spoken to your daughter about starting her on birth control? I know it wont stop the fainting, nausea and cold sweats but it should help with the heavy periods, hair and acne. Some women are just born with more testosterone thus causing darker thicker hair. Birth control has different side effects for each woman however it cleared up my face, lightened and regulated my periods, helped me loose weight and made me generally happier. Try speaking to your doctor about this.
Avatar f tn So, I had to fill out a questionaire with a million questions before I see an RE at the end of the month. One of the questions was about acne, and whether I have it or not. What does having acne mean? (I've heard getting acne can be a sign of something, I just can't remember what) Lately, I've been having so many breakouts, and today noticed I had some back acne. Gross! I never had acne before.
Avatar n tn I am having problems with adderall and acne too. I have to take it a few days......then I break out bad, then I stop it. It's the worst. Started taking Vyvanse and it is the same thing. Wish I could stop the severe acne because the medication is good and helps.
Avatar f tn Hello, If you suffer from dysmenorrhea (painful menses) or irregular menses, yes, the birth control pill can be used to help regulate your menstrual cycle and improve dysmenorrhea. In your case, having had a tubal ligation, the indication would not be for birth control but for the symptoms you describe and that is fine. I'm not sure what you mean by taking four pills. You should take it as you otherwise would: one pill at the same time each day.
Avatar f tn It's just a pregnancy thing. You might be able to try Witch Hazel if it is safe during pregnancy. I always found cocoa butter to help me. Yes, moisturizing can help acne!!! I'll find you some proof if you don't believe me, lol!
Avatar f tn Im on levOra, have been for 5 mOnths. I have horrible allergies so last week I took 1 antibiotic pill to try & stop my symptoms. This was about 5 days ago. Will I get pregnant if I have sex unprotected?
Avatar m tn Hi. I'm 28 years old and have had bad acne since the age of 14. In the back of my head since I was 14 I always thought I was born with Herpes. All my derm doctors over the years have laughed at me and said I don't have Herpes. I get cystic acne on my neck, behind my ears and now I have one on the front of my leg. Also I had one on my lower belly a year ago, yet the red mark from it is still there.
10743983 tn?1440210210 Have acne on face, shoulders and chest, and feel as if it won't just heal up? I swear! I am due next Saturday, and I'm pretty positive the acne I've had since the beginning still hasn't cleared up and has only gotten worse? Does anyone else feel this way? It's such a pain in the a.s.s so tired of looking like this! My chin is absolutely horrific... Oy.
Avatar f tn Alright im on levora bc pills. i normally take them regularly. my periods are 28 days apart (last like 5-6 days moderately heavy bad cramps.) anyways it all started last month. i had sex regularly from feb 21-march 1 and i did miss a pill on feb 25 (stupid i know.) anyways before my period was due i noticed bad nip pain like almost a burning. it lazted a few days and was on and off. i also kept gettin dizzy spells and nausea. my period was due the 13 i started a day late.
Avatar n tn I've been on combination birth control for about 5 months now (first Levora, then switched to Portia 2 months in), and I've had breakthrough periods before. In the past, they were like my regular periods: lighter, but similar general consistency and flow so I would have to wear a pad. Recently, I've noticed that when I wipe, there's been light traces of blood which I thought was just my breakthrough period.
Avatar m tn The ketoconazole burned my skin and didnt help, and the zinc soap does not help much either. I came back to her and she confirmed it is adult acne and some kind of dermatitis which cannot be cured. Dermatologist told me to try vegetarian diet and drink a lot of water, cut out carbs, sugar, diary. But this did not help. She tell me isotretinoin will most likely help my skin but the side effects are too dangerous so she is refusing to prescribe.
Avatar f tn I'm taking birth control pills since yesterday. My doctor didn't ask me to take a pregnancy test because I was sure I wasn't. But this morning I threw up and I feel nausea. I'm also experiencing dizziness. I'm taking levora. So now idk if I'm pregnant or it's just the first effects of the pills. I talked to my doctor and she said I shouldn't be throwing up.
