I have been on levora birth control for four months now and my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex two days in a row and he finished inside of me, we usually don't do that. However, now I'm getting nervous because I hear that levora is a low dose pill and they are easy to get pregnant on.. I usually take it at 8 am sometimes I'm an hour late but usually I always take it at 8. I'm on the third week of my pack so I should be starting my period next week.
They were also always very heavy and painful, hence why my mother opted to put me on Levora. I loved the Levora because it regulated my periods to 28 days apart like clockwork and also alleviated the heavy flow and cramps. Even when I went off of it for a few months my period remained regular.
Well I was forced to get off of it at age 27 after a blood test came back and showed I have Prothrombin Thrombophilia, a genetic disorder that increases my risk of blood clots.
Within a few days of taking Levora again I noticed that I was much more mentally vulnerable and by the third week on Levora I was completely destroyed emotionally and mentally. This last weekend I had very strong desires to kill myself by stabbing myself repeatedly. I have a great husband who has helped me stay safe and talked me through the difficult times. I am not ready for a hysterectomy/ooverectomy yet. Is there a birth control pill out there with fewer side effects for depression.
I have been on the birth control pill levlen since january this year, i missed one day and the night after me and my boyfriend had had unprotected sex, i know that there is always a danger of falling pregnant from having unprotected sex, but i was wondering if the danger had increased due to my missed pill?
Started on birth control pills 5 months ago simply to try and regulate my periods and lessen the severity of bleeding. First I was on Levlen which worked fine for about 3 months, even managed to skip a period successfully. Then started to get breakthrough bleeding half way through cycle which was continuous for 3 weeks but some days worse than others. Went back to GP who changed me to Brevicon which is a stronger pill.
t know. when i went in they switched me off of the yasmin and onto levora so it would be cheaper. but i never had problems with yasmin anyways. but after taking the levora i started getting anxiety not anxiety attacks but just high anxiety all the time everyday till now. i don't know if it was the levora or if it was the sinus thing because i remember feeling sort of like this the day we went to pick the levora for the first time. does anyone have any answers for me.
m finding that the past few months I am consistently anxious and depressed. I am concerned that it could be the birth control that I am on. I would like to know if there are any b.c. pills that limit this side effect. I also find that my libido is less strong. All of these symptoms are affecting my relationship. Any suggestions?
A month after being on Levlen, this cyst started to grow and grow and grow. I switched back to Ortho for other reasons (my skin was bad on Levlen). About a month after switching back to Ortho, my cyst burst and dissappeared and I haven't had any other problems since. I swear the timing is just too weird but my family doc says it wouldn't be related. What do you guys think? Does anyone else have a similar story?
I am currently on levlen (birthcontrol) but have many many times forgotten to take my pill and will have intercourse so i tend to skip my periods with the sugar pill and saying that i actually havn't seen them for a long time apart from getting brown discharge. Have you at all had your period latley? I feel fine and no sickness or anything apart from the boobs/bloating/moodiness and peeing abit more. Are you trying to get pregnant? If so have you been experiencing any symptoms?
I'm currently using Levlen ED for having a lighter period and less cramps. It hasn't been working like the doctors said it would and I still get very heavy periods and been getting very bad cramps, and only in the last two months have I been getting very, very light periods, I don't even need to wear a tampon or a pad, just a panty liner is enough. I am sexually active and I'm just worried that I am pregnant as I have missed a pill or two in the past.

Thank you for that, I noticed the same symptoms as previously and the docs put me on Levlen. I had my blood tested keeping in mind my estragen might be high due to the pill, but unfortunately my levels are <70. Everything else is fine, so I do not have a thyroid problem. I had my ovaries scanned last year and it was fine. so at the moment, I'm on the waiting list for the hospital to see a Gynaecologist.
Im on levOra, have been for 5 mOnths. I have horrible allergies so last week I took 1 antibiotic pill to try & stop my symptoms. This was about 5 days ago. Will I get pregnant if I have sex unprotected?
Im taking the pill (Levlen ED) and have been for many years to skip my periods and have one every three months, however this time my body went a little crazy and my period lasted for 10 days and ever since (5 days) i've had brown discharge, some days its really light and i only see it when i wipe, others it gets on my underwear. Anyway my doctor prescribed me cyklokapron saying it would stop it and i was wondering if anyone else has taken it for this reason?
I've been on combination birth control for about 5 months now (first Levora, then switched to Portia 2 months in), and I've had breakthrough periods before. In the past, they were like my regular periods: lighter, but similar general consistency and flow so I would have to wear a pad. Recently, I've noticed that when I wipe, there's been light traces of blood which I thought was just my breakthrough period.
I currently stopped taking the pill, levlen. 3 months ago and have had normal periods after this. I am now 16 days late for my period And have taken 3 pregnancy test that are all negative. I have had constant headaches,continually tired, nausea and vomiting occasionally, loads of pimples breaking out ( normally have good skin) and kind of cramps but not as bad. When I lay on my tummy I feel awkward like I shouldn't be on my stomach. I keep thinking maybe it is all in my head.
I'm taking birth control pills since yesterday. My doctor didn't ask me to take a pregnancy test because I was sure I wasn't. But this morning I threw up and I feel nausea. I'm also experiencing dizziness. I'm taking levora. So now idk if I'm pregnant or it's just the first effects of the pills. I talked to my doctor and she said I shouldn't be throwing up.
With all the commercials you see on TV about YAZ and Yasmin and all the problems it has caused, i cant imagine that the positives out weigh the negatives. Currently I am on Levlen birth control, it has the minimum amount of estrogen and it works wonderful! But because everyone is different, i would suggest doing some research on birth control types and find whats best for her, then talk to a doctor about those types you have looked over.

Hi I testes positive for chlymadia a couple of months ago and was given the necessary treatment of two tablets at once . From my past sexual experiences I believe I have Had the std for two years . I was wondering what was the chances of having pid. I still have abdominal pain and painful intercourse .
I went to several doctors to find out about pid and none could give me a definite answer .
i definatly would nor reccomend it after my symptoms and the things I read online. type it in google and u will know what I mean. Birth control will probably make u feel a little queezy until your body gets use to the hormone. remember it tricks your body into thinking your pregnant. MY new birth control levlen ed has made me feel a little off aswell.

If you suffer from dysmenorrhea (painful menses) or irregular menses, yes, the birth control pill can be used to help regulate your menstrual cycle and improve dysmenorrhea. In your case, having had a tubal ligation, the indication would not be for birth control but for the symptoms you describe and that is fine.
I'm not sure what you mean by taking four pills. You should take it as you otherwise would: one pill at the same time each day.
I have just started taking levlen ED ..and i was half was through the active pills and started getting dark brown discharge and then all of a sudden got my period ... i am a smoker and i have also had cysts on my left ovary ...
What was the discharge?
why did i get my period (way before it was due)?
what will my smoking and previous ovary problems have to do with it?
