Avatar m tn Hello, I'm a 37 yr old male and who has suffered with anxiety for many years. About 2 years ago, I discontinued taking Lexapro (took for about 8 - 10 years) and have been debating taking it again to help with my anxiety. Last year I was diagnosed with an IRBBB/Incomplete Right Brundle Branch Block. I am concerned about Lexapro and it's cardiovascular side effects, especially QT Prolongation which is listed as a potential side effect.
Avatar f tn It's highly likely the emergency contraceptive pill you took is making her bleed, and will likely cause intermittent bleeding for the next month or so - and could delay her usual period at least for one month. Additionally, if you aren't having penetrative sex, there is no way she'll get pregnant. A few sperm deposited at the outside opening of her vagina won't be able to swim all the way up to an egg, without seminal fluid to neutralize the Ph.
2104296 tn?1334841551 I friend of mine is on this birth control. She is having some huge side effects. I am trying to find more information about this birth control for her. I have lots of questions and looking for some answers. If anyone has used this birth control and has had problems with it. Please contact me so I can compare notes. Thanks so much!
Avatar f tn Gg, you can still be fertile the day after ovulation, so taking emergency contraception was wise. I think you may have taken more than necessary, which may itself cause some side effects.
Avatar n tn Hi I'm a 24 year old that's been on birth control since the age of 19. I have been researching the cardiovascular effects of birth control and saw that it can raise c-reactive protein levels. How clinically significant is this? I know crp is a measure of inflammation in the body. So is increasing it's level going to actually cause inflammation? Or is it simply upregulated, and if so what are the consequences of that? I recently switched for alesse which has levonorgestrel.
Avatar n tn I do not know about this medication, or the possible side effects of it. I too am very wary of medications, especially if you consider that they say the brains of those on the spectrum are wired up differently. Also within my close family I have a number of people who react severely to medications and they are not even on the spectrum. As alot of the behaviour you are mentioning is sensory based I would recommend you read an article in Autism Today by a woman called Olga Bogdashina.
Avatar m tn https://www.drugs.com/amlodipine.html. Vision issues are considered rare. Here is a comprehensive list of side effects: https://www.drugs.com/sfx/amlodipine-side-effects.html. It also lists red, irritated eyes as a side effect. I think I'd let your doctor know you are having watery eyes.
Avatar f tn I am taking this med for blood pressure but now my legs are retaining fluid and I am having breathing problems are these side effects? I think I may even have some fluid on the lungs.
Avatar n tn My daughter is 15 and on Thurs June 5, 2008 she received her second shot of Gardasil. A couple of hours later she complained of difficulty breathing. I took her to the ER where they could find nothing wrong with her and made me feel as if I were crazy to think it was the Gardasil shot. They gave her a nebulizer treatment which didn't help and sent her home with a perscription for Albuterol, which too has not helped.
Avatar f tn t meant to be used in place of birth control. See a doctor for a blood test. Next time be more responsible and use the proper measures. Withdrawaling isn't protection and offers little prevention.

Avatar f tn This treatment has a high risk of psychiatric side effects, you need to find a doctor who is up to date on the treatment and side effects. Search the archives on this forum, its got lots of good discussions and information. Good luck.

Avatar f tn Keep in mind we're just patients here and no one has the last word on whether MJ use during treatment (and there are so many treatments now) is a good or bad thing. We all have different bodies and these meds play out differently on everybody. If my doc told me not to use MJ (perhaps they are privy to study info we are not privy to) I wouldn't, but that's just me. I never expected to get the EXACT same results as another person treating, it doesn't work that way.
Avatar f tn //www.drugs.com/sfx/plavix-side-effects.html Natural alternative: Nattokinase is a potent fibrinolytic (anti-clotting) enzyme extracted and highly purified from a traditional Japanese food called Natto. Nattokinase enhances our body’s natural ability to fight blood clots, and has an advantage over blood thinners because it has a prolonged effect without side effects.
Avatar f tn I was on day 3 of my period while having sex on Saturday August 27. My partner and I used both sides of a condom. Despite me telling my partner to switch he said it was okay because didn't ejaculate. He went inside for not even a minute then pulled out when he saw blood. I went to a Rite Aid and took the emergency contraception ,My Way (levonorgestrel) 20 min. afterwards and I started taking Junel Fe on Wednesday August 31, the same day my period ended.
Avatar n tn For the first month it was OK, no side effects other then some loss of libido. After talking with doc about it he changed it to another one with levonorgestrel instead of dienogest. After 2 days of taking it I started experiencing extreme thirst, anxiety, palpitations, minor blood sugar rise and hard to sleep (since thirst was waking me up several times). I endured it for 1 week and went to my gynecologist to talk about it.
