The last time I hit 41 and felt much better my levels dropped even though I continued to take 4400 IUs. I plan to keep taking 4400 IUs until my vitamin D level hits 60-70 IUs then I might lower it to 3000 IUs daily. I'm also having my levels monitored every 3 months. What do you think? Does this sound like a plan? I want to get off the roller coaster of fluctuating vitamin D levels and stay at an optimal level which for me is greater than 40.

A thyroid specialist recommended it to me because he feels my dose of vitamin D 5400 IUs D3 daily is too high. (PremCal is 4000 D3 daily + calcium and magnesium in two tablets). My reservations about this cal-mag-D3 product is that the dose of magnesium is too low, the form of calcium is carbonate not citrate, and the D3 is in tablet not gel cap form. He did suggest that my D levels be monitored more regularly every 2-3 months so that I can stay on top of it which I think is good advice.
Each tablet contains 0.75mg Levonorgestrel. and told me not to worry nothing will happen. but i am afraid please tell me if there is any chances of getting pregnant

So my wife is a virgin and we had non penetrative sex and some sperm was left on her vagina and we got worried that she could get pregnant then she took emergency contraceptive (levonorgestrel) 48 hours after. Then after 2 days we did non penetrative sex again and we got worried about pregnancy and she took emergency contraception again. This is emergency contraceptive twice in a week.
IU/ml and copies/ml measure the same thing in different units. There is no straight conversion. IUs are approximately 3 - 5 times greater than copies.
Do you mean 2000 IUs? I presume so, and I presume you were given D3, since for a vitamin D deficiency that's the preferred choice.
You shouldn't experience any problems with vitamin D itself at 2000 IUs per day. But you could react to one of the other ingredients that comprise the pill. Many pills include soy, milk, or gluten among their inert ingredients, and that can be a problem for some people.

I know I have to take supplements - living in Norway and being deficient in D really doesn't give me much choice... I haven't been on mega doses, that's not done here. My doctor prescribed 800 IUs, which is far from enough to raise my levels as far as I've read. I started taking 2-3000 IUs of D3, then I upped it to 5000, and then again to 7400.
I found it worked best for me to divide my dose in 3, for example, I currently take 2400 IUs with breakfast, 1000 IUs with lunch, and 1000 IUs with dinner. (I'm waiting for my next blood test and if I've plateaued I'll up my dose further from 4400IUs daily to 5400IUs daily). My levels didn't go up significantly until I started taking 2000 IUs daily/gel caps/ religiously...Good Luck!!! You're not alone.
While I understand that there is always a risk of DVT, depression or stroke when taking contraceptive pills, I was thinking, there are other brand of pills which contains more or less the same hormones ethinylestradiol and levonorgestrel. So should I be concerned? I have been on other brand of pills in the past which contained ethinylestradiol and norethisterone and I was fine with it.
Since this original post we have visited a doctor and my wife has taken the ECP levonorgestrel. She took the first pill ~32hrs after the event and a second pill about 12hrs later as per doctor's instruction.
We were unable to visit a doctor prior to this late hour due to the holiday season (Chinese New Year) over here resulting in clinics being closed. Unfortunately ECPs are not available as an over the counter drug at pharmacies.
